Great HOS The length of game was great. The bonus on CE was long and included more places. I played on easy but could have done next level. Haven't had as much fun in a long time. It kept me up late but was worth it all. Liked the stratagy guide placement. Helped keep me moving in the game. Was clear and very helpful. I think I will mostly buy the CE's if I like the game. very good CE, worth the price! This game was a very good length for the money, and had many hidden object scenes and minigames. played it on advanced instead of hardcore so I could skip the tedious "move the little squares" puzzles, otherwise a good variety. there was also too many unasked for clues in the comments, wish I could have turned them off. A lot of fun to play despite some minor glitches. January 14, 2012
A baby Lycanthrope how cute can you get? We have been privileged to receive some great games from Big Fish as of late and this game ranks as fantastic. The game is challenging, creative, art work superb and the puzzles and hidden object scenes both were for me fun and difficult at the same time. Hiking boots and snow shoes needed. Wonderful scenes of find what you need and then apply found items. Do take note that the hidden object scenes offer, at least for me, a challenge which in turn helps to make for a more overall challenging experience. The Hint system is very good in fact I might say to good. Strategy Guide was well done why do I know this, well I did more than one peek. Quite an adventure folks. Should you decide to take on the Lycanthrope's I am sure you will enjoy the experience. Thanks for bringing us this very special game. P.S. I loved curing the Lycanthrope's. January 9, 2012
One of the worst. *WARNING* May contain spoilers! This game was unbelievably BORING. 15 minutes was enough to make up my mind that this game doesn't deserve my time. First off, the story. It's really not that original and I'm seriously getting tired of the (were)wolf-story archs. Furthermore, as someone else already mentioned, you're going to your nephew's christening and suddenly you crash, without any further information why it happened? And when you click on the mantlepiece painting, it says something about the ghost helping you BEFORE you've even met the ghost! Seriously... The graphics are poor to my taste. For example: the wolf looks very bulky and not anatomically correct and the prying of the painting looks very off (you're prying the air...). Music and sound are pretty neutral. The playing levels... Though hardcore-level says it won't show ANY hints or anything, you STILL get the hints and skip-option in puzzles?! Come on... I'm very disappointed. I'm not going to buy this one and I can't recommend it. January 29, 2012
A Good Sequel Played the demo only. The art and scenes were really quite nice and enjoyable to look at. Was taking my time to play the game while not used to not having a journal. The hos had just the right amount of "clutter" but the ofjects to find were not hard to find. I found the puzzles interesting and while challenging were not overly difficult to solve. Did not finish the first chapter by the end of the 60 minutes, but strayed back and forth several times and tried not to use the strategy guide that was available. The map was very helpful in keeping track of the locations of the rooms. I enjoyed the game and haven't decided yet whether to buy the CE or not. January 6, 2012
A good sequel I am basing this review on the demo which I played in casual mode as well. (I always play the demos in casual so I am sure to complete as much as possible to get a feel for the game.) There are 3 levels, casusal, advanced and hardcore. If you liked the 1st Grim Tales (which I did), you should enjoy this as well. I found the storyline interesting, the music was good, the graphics & cutscenes are above average, and the HOs & puzzles were average and easily doable. The casual mode did have sparkles which I'm guessing won't be available on the other 2 modes. Didn't use the hint button. Overall I think this is a good game and recommend it. January 5, 2012
Try it before you buy it Puzzles are very challenging; graphics are good. The biggest problem I had was once you obtained an object, you would have to backtrack very far to utilize the object, and there are many streets/rooms/buildings that are active at any given point. You must have an excellent memory to progress without feeling frustrated in this game. January 28, 2012
Great game! I was lucky enough to test this game, and although it wasn't the whole game I played it 3 times! I couldn't wait for the full game to come out and here it is! Thanks Big Fish! January 5, 2012
unique lots of levels .. would buy/play again I enjoyed any hours of entertainment and challenging puzzles. Most games get tediously repetitive revisiting old HOS's. This one never made me mutter "ugg not again." Great graphics. I played hard core and had to get help on 2 mini puzzles. I am a big fan of mystery case files but I have to say this game was as good or better than MCF games. I will look for elephant games again. This is one I will replay for asthetics and challenge. The story line doesn't matter to me but this one did more than make the story line stay out of the way. I was iterested in how it would end though somewhat predictable. This was much better than Grim Tales the bride. March 4, 2012
Worth the price of CE I played the demo, had a couple of credits so I decided to spend them on the CE. Very long game with several chapters to advance through (you think you're done but it just keeps going!), complicated and varied puzzles, and just enough (but not too many) hidden object games. It would be a fun game without the CE, but you'd miss the strategy guide (which I needed) and an extra hour(ish) worth of bonus game. The storyline's "eh": curses, werewolves, magic, time travel, blah de blah, been done, but they managed to pull off a sense of mystery and adventure in spite of my initial jadedness. All in all, this one stands out as one of the better games I've played, and worth the expense in my opinion. February 21, 2012
