Finally, a game worth playing....
Everything about this game can be scored 10/10. I didn't manage to complete the game within a matter of hours as is normally the case so really felt that finally I had received true value for money and gameplay that was completely satisfying. The game was absorbing and I kept wanting to go back to it and this time I could because it wasn't over in a heartbeat. More like this PLEASE.

Really looooong game
I have played lots of HOG's, and this one was excellent!! It has many many different scenes, and is a very long game. It has lots of puzzles and hidden object scenes. Some puzzles a bit challenging and had to skip. I don't usually pay too much attention to storylines, so I couldn't really tell you if the story was any good. I just enjoy the games! I was entertained for many hours with this one.

Grim Tales: The Legacy Collector's Edition
I play at the advance level, and this game was quite a challenge. The puzzle in the torture room (gate) took a couple of days for me to finally complete. I loved the story line, graphics and HO scenes. You really needed to dust off the thinking cap for this one! Absolutely worth the money, can't wait for a sequel.

Interesting puzzle game, certainly not short!
The game had well-done graphics and a non-intrusive soundtrack. The mini-animations were a nice touch, without being too distracting in the whole. The story was initially confusing as to what some things had to do with others, but made more sense as the game progressed. My one bother was that some items disappeared after use, while others stayed, and it was often not clear what an item should be used for without the "mashing two items together and hoping it worked" strategy. My other annoyance was that items of the same kind that could have completed the tasks just as well were littered around the area could not be used, and therefore it frustrated me as to why they were in the scene at all. That aside, the different type of puzzles were good, and kept the appeal going, without needing a Hidden Object puzzle for every possible scene, although some of the hidden object items could have been a bit more specific as to what they wanted you to search for. The extra content of the Collectors edition was a nice add-on, and the extra gameplay added depth to the overall story, and rounded out some of the loose ends. The main game ending was not as complete as it could have been, but in the majority, the game was worth the time and money spent on it.

The Allure of Grim Tales: The Legacy CE
If you enjoy games that are elegant, engrossing, and long playing, take a peek at "The Legacy" . Of course the graphics are wonderful, right down to redefining "tired puzzles". This is an Elephant production. What I found so enjoyable about this game is that everything appears so normal, when in reality nothing is the least bit normal. Conversely, that which is not normal is weird, such as "breathing paintings".
Elephant games has raised the Casual Game bar with this release by leaving much to the players imagination, and thus it seductive allure. The use, or in this case the lack of a music bed, is plain wonderful. It is the ambient sounds, creaking chandeliers, dripping water, and complete silence, which creates a subtle uneasy atmospheric game play. The use of a musical score is limited to the intermezzo of cut scenes. For once, the voice over roles match the characters they are meant to represent.
The HO scenes are never repeated. Imagine! There is some to and fro-ing but never to an HO area, which are labeled simply as "Stuff", "Pile" or "Boat". As "The Legacy" does not make use of a journal, it is up to the player to recall what and where to use found and collected inventory. The map is works efficiently to reduce useless backtracking. As it took this gamer several days to play "The Legacy", the hint system was very helpful as a "reminder".
The Legacy is a prime example of excellence in the classic "seek, find and fix" genre. It is understated, refined, and never annoying. There is much to enjoy playing "The Legacy" and not very much to gripe about, at all.

Simply Marvelous!
This is one game that far exceeded my expectations of a sequel! This game had great length and made you think which step to take next. It made you memorize which items were needed while traveling to so many different parts of the grounds and in the estate itself.
The adventure part is what I really enjoyed, with the bonus of lush graphics for Hidden Object scenes, and clever puzzles.
This is one developer that never disappoints!
Looking forward to the next installment!

If only the plot was as good as the rest...
Technically and artistically it?s a very good game.
The artwork is accurate and impressive, the scenes with hidden objects are clear enough and they are not all the same, some are in a brighter light, some in a darker ones.
The map is excellent and very useful to move around, since there are things to find all scattered everywhere.
It?s not the best of these developers, but it?s a worthy one in all cases.
The puzzles are various and neither too easy nor not too difficult, the proportion between hidden objects scenes and puzzles is well balanced.
The only really weak point in my opinion is the story, the plot.
Which is not very original?always the already seen so many times werewolves in a gothic manor and a scared lady with a baby who need to be rescued.
The player plays the role of a contemporary woman who goes to visit her sister who is supposed to christen her baby boy.
But when she arrives (the usual car accident, which stop her in front of the gate of a mysterious manor?how much I?d like the developer could find some new ideas to start a game, rather than presenting us always the broken car in front of the mysterious gate to open?) there is nobody there and she starts roaming about, meeting werewolves and trying to help her sister to escape.
The whole story is not catching, it?s confused and a bit boring and the interest of the game is only in its elegant and rich graphic presentation and in the mechanism of searching element and solving quizzes to go over.
Nevertheless I recommend his game for the sumptuous presentation and for the accuracy of all details and the visual beauty of the scenes.

A lot to do
This is a sequel where, once again, you have to help save your sister. The storyline is fairly original and works out well.
There is a lot to do in this game, so in terms of gameplay it is great value for money. In fact, sometimes it feels like there's a little too much to do, so that you're running around all over the place looking for tools in one site to perform an action in another to get something you need for a third location.
However, the game gives you unlimited hints which recharge very quickly and even better than that, a skip button which fills fast so that if you're stuck in a mini-game or just can't be bothered, it will let you skip without penalty and get on with the rest of the plot.
Decent art and music, plenty of hidden objects scenes, and really fast hints and skip buttons make this a recommendation from me.

Excellent Hidden Object Game!
I love hidden object games that take a long time to get through. Now I have a favorite. Legacy has a wonderful story line and lots of puzzles, some so difficult (embarrassed to say) I skipped them. Which I don't do often. Playing this game was almost like playing different games within one game. I'm truly hoping I can find another just as great as this one!! If any of you puzzle junkies know of any, please let me know.
