Wish I didn't buy it.
Weird park has some good things going for it. I liked the visuals-- bright and creative. Such a nice change from the endless parade of gloomy cemeteries and black crows! Also, throughout the game, there were occasional innovative uses for inventory items- things you wouldn't think of right away, but that made sense. It was fun to figure these out. But the bad outweighed the good for me. HO scenes were way too easy. The objects weren't hidden at all. Most of the puzzles were also too easy. The story started out okay but about midway it seemed to completely lose any sense. Sometimes the diary/journal helps with understanding the story, but in this game it exists only to keep a record of visual cues that are needed to solve puzzles. The animation of the characters who occasionally show up was terrible. Objects were occasionally mis-labeled (a cheese grater was called a nail file). There was also inconsistency in mini-locations. I found this particularly annoying. When a mini-location opened up (a window that appeared after clicking on the magnifying glass), it would sometimes disappear after tasks were done and would no longer be clickable. But at other times, it would remain active, even though there was nothing left to do there and no clues or information. I found this confusing. The music was horrible and throughout the last act, an obnoxious horn (like a train) would sound every time I moved from one location to another. Some of these are minor issues but taken together they really impacted my experience. Game play is really the most important thing to me and I just didn't have fun playing this after the first couple of acts. It seemed like the game got sloppier and felt more thrown together the further along I got. I enjoyed the demo so used my punchcard reward to buy the full version. Now I wish I had waited. I am baffled by this game getting a rating of 4+ stars. Internet grade inflation I guess.

Great Fun
This game is fast moving. The hidden object scenes were not difficult - I think I used the hint just once on these, but there were a lot of them, which I enjoyed. I did struggled with some of the puzzles and have to admit that I skipped two or three, but I am a little impatient!
The Hint is great for getting to the right place if you don't want to spend a lot time going from scene to scene (and there are plenty of them) until you find the right one.
I did think I had reached the end of the game when I had completed the scene with the record, but was delighted when there was more!
Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great challenge for a weekend afternoon
Other people have commented that this is yet another creepy carnival game, and it is, so if you like creepy carnivals with multiple hidden object type games, this may be fun for you. I had a good time with it, but it's not my favorite.
Some of the things I liked about it were the mix up of Fragmented Hidden Object scenes (I think those were only in the first chapter - I would have liked to have seen more in subsequent chapters) and standard Hidden Object scenes. There were alsosome new twists on old puzzle type that heightened the interest level for me.
A few people don't seem t like the adventure aspect of the game where you have to go back to a previous played scene to get another item or play another HOS. I don't mind it, I like the fact that I have to think about "Ok where have a seen a spider that can build a web?" then I need that. Keeps me on my toes. However, a map would have been nice. I thought when I demoed the Collector's Edition there was a map but maybe not. Maybe I just missed it this time. But a map or an "Area Cleared" sign would have been nice, but not absolutely necessary.
I hate voice overs so I was happy here - no voice overs. I hate people reading out loud to me.
I had to skip four puzzles I think (yay skip button!). For all but one of those, it was my lack of patience with my lack of skill that caused me to hit the skip. Rotating puzzles frustrate me no end, and two of those puzzles I know were rotating puzzles.
The last puzzle I skipped - no excuse there. PLEASE developers, if you are going to use a music puzzle, please AT LEAST keep the music consistent. The one music puzzle was all over the place. At least it was masquerading as a music puzzle - a piano and "music notes" in the shapes of cartwheeling stick people. However, the music didn't match the notes, the tones didn't even match themselves when you matched the picture. I finally turned the sound off and tried it, but after five frustrating attempts to play a piano without hearing it, I folded.
The graphics were OK, not great, occasionally a bit dark and fuzzy, making HOS more difficult than they needed to be.
The end of the story was pretty good, if a little abrupt. The game went on a while longer than I expected, with the alternate universe thing after I finished the broken record. Bravo for that - unexpected length was kind of a bonus in and of itself.
All in all, fun if you can take the creepy, with a good variety of puzzles.

Very Weird and Very Entertaining
I'm so glad I tried this game. It's different from my usual game choices. Weird is the right description for what goes on here. The graphics are stunning, the music is perfectly creepy and the game will take an unexpected turn. The hidden objects were clear and the minigames were fun (there is a skip button). You will go back and forth to different scenes and enjoy the long game play.

Not my cup of tea
Although it was described as "creepy", the demo appeared quite light and more weird/odd than creepy. So I bought it! I was disappointed to see ouiija boards and pentagrams in the last leg of the game. I will not keep games with this kind of content, and wish there was a way for games to have tags such as violence, spiritualism, etc.
Other than that:
LENGTH - medium, about 4 hrs of play
CHALLENGE - HOG beginner level, mini-games were tedious
GRAPHICS - very well done, liked the change in scenes
INTERACTION - the game is quite linear but requires multiple visits to the same HOG scenes to obtain a lot of items

No Imagination, Bad attempted at a Good Game
This seemed to just be a bad rip off of the game ?Dreamland?. Only in this game the graphics are not as good, the story is a ?wana-be?, and over all I was just disappointed by the lack of imagination.
But, don?t take my word for it I suggest giving ?Dreamland? a try and make your own conclusions. I do not recommend this game (this is the first time I have ever stated such)

The Perfect Game!!!
I really enjoyed playing this game. the visual was outstanding, the hint button keep the game rolling, the mini games was great. The game kept me wanting to play more and that's what I look for in a game. Please design more like it, This is really The Perfect Game...!

Another Amusement Park...
Lets see. I bought this game during the sale and thank goodness because its a very short game. It had the potential to be quite scary since it had clowns and weird little characters running around an abandoned amusement park but the developers didn't put enough effort into making this theme as scary as they could have. I liked the graphics and the story line and the plot twist well maybe not a twist but when I thought the game was over it had more to go so thats a plus.
However, the cons outweighed the pros for me. There was no choice of difficulty so the sparkles were there. The sparkles only indicated hidden object scenes and directions like if you moved the cursor to go to the left the sparkles would appear but there none to alert you to other things in the game like things to pick up so that was nice. The music was recycled from Pandora's Box: The 2nd one (forget the name) but its the same developer and I feel this developers quality is kind of going down the drain. ALSO, you revisit the SAME hidden object scenes at least 3-4 times and sometimes you are looking for the same things you found before. Doing that is like busy work like when you have filing or paperwork to do but becomes boring after awhile. I kept dreading going back to the same place to find the sparkles lit up on the same place again since the scenes have no interactive element and like I said, repeat. All the mini games were rotating puzzles of some kind. At first it didn't bother me but further on it became the ones that really were hard to solve but luckily I was able to complete them randomly without skipping.
My biggest pet peeve though was the ending. I don't understand why developers put out CEs and make the bonus play the ending and leave a chopped off miserable ending for the people who can't afford the CE and have to buy the SE. Once again, it wasn't really clear who the clown was or how he got in the record or what was really going on just that it was clear there would be a sequel yet I know some valuable story line was in the bonus play. BONUS play should be a BONUS not having anything to do with the ending of a game or the story line of a game that is important to having a satisfactory ending. Doing a prologue or epilogue is fine but it should not tie in to the actual story line enough to make the people who buy the SE wondering what the heck happened.
I wasnt going to purchase this game originally but due to the sale, I needed two more games and decided this one seemed okay. And it was just okay but I wouldn't recommend paying full price for it.

nice & long
Got a lot for my money on this one; good to occupy a couple hrs. Could've done without all the back & forth, but great game nonetheless.

Totally Enjoyed This Game
Lots of Ho's, mini games good and plenty. So many areas to explore! Clear scenes, music was good and not a lot of chit chat. Really happy with length of game - I always read reviews when I'm trying a demo and find them very helpful. Thanks for that. This is my first review, just had to share!
