Best Game Yet!
Really really enjoyed playing this game! New puzzles, intuitive game play, creative HOG format, and good story line. Highly recommend!

Definitely worth a second look
For some reason I passed this one up when I first came across it, but I am so glad I gave it a second chance. Thorough reviews have already been posted so I'll just give my thoughts briefly.
The sound and graphics are top notch, and the storyline really carries you through the whole game, although you have to keep your wits about you to follow the plot, which has obviously been thought through with care.
It does have small H0 scenes, but is definitely more of an adventure and puzzler than a H0 game, which is right up my street. Although the puzzles range in difficulty, I have to admit to skipping a couple, which for me means a second play at some point as I'm not usually beaten!
This is a steal at SE price, and kept me occupied for most of the day. If you like a good detective story give this a whirl, just make sure you've had a good breakfast as you might not want to stop.

Suspenseful AND Fun!
Yay! This game was really a good surprise.
I don't even remember downloading it and expected it to be pretty run of the mill.
I played in difficult mode so there were no sparkles except HO scenes.
There were just enough of these to switch it up, and although they would reactivate from time to time and you wouldn't know what you had to do next, a quick prowl around the hotel would help you find it pretty quickly.
They close off areas which you are finished with, which is helpful, and I liked that they did voice acting.
This game is not out and out scary, but it is a bit macabre (which I, for one, find to be a plus!) So I would not recommend for children.
The plot was a bit hard to navigate but they give you a LOT of little letters, article snippets and personal backstory items to keep you hooked and I really liked the murder-mystery-in an-abandoned-location aspect of it.
They added new characters at just the right times also and you had to revisit places once you found their relevant objects, which I liked.
My boyfriend and I played all of the MCF games together, and we really liked the later ones which had a strong adventure aspect. This was probably the most similar game I have played to Dire Grove which was our favorite, & although the execution wasn't as nice, the feel was similar and we heartily enjoyed it. I'd been playing the Art of Murder series, which he didn't find accessible, so I was thrilled to find a game we could play together and both enjoy.

Good game with nice graphics!
I liked the storyline: many murders in a remote hotel! I played in expert mode.
- There are not too many dialogs which I prefer.
- The graphics are really crisp!
- The objects in the HOS are easy to find. There are not too many of them, so it's more adventure than HO.
- The puzzles are quite easy.
- The journal is useful; it contains the clues you found to solve the puzzles, so no need to remember everything.
- There is a good map that shows you where there are tasks.
It took me 3 hours to finish and I enjoyed my time!

a bit different HOPA (hidden object puzzle adventure) game
mmm, on one side this is different and refreshing but on the other it's a bit of the same. I'll do a pro and con list to help explain.
pro
- How the characters move in the story makes it more integrated, it was well done.
-trying to do a mystery but I was disappointed at the end, and I can't say why as it would be a major spoiler.
- good length
-puzzles were both pro and con, nothing new but were between easy and a couple of medium, and they were well spaced.
-voiceovers (but I didn't have any at the beginning or end)
-mystery, plot was trying to do something new, which was refreshing
-mostly non junk pile hidden object scenes
cons
- game starts with wrecked car, then old house, where you are trapped. And a lot of the same HOPA cliques that we see a lot.
-ending
-setting said no sparkles I got them on hidden object scenes.
overall very enjoyable, but with pushing it a bit being different in some areas, I wish they did that in all the areas. (BTW I have a snake phobia and was petrified I would be made to find a snake, I wasn't!)

Fantasic Game
This is such a great game, I never had any problems with it. Loved the graphics and the HOG round ones. Good story made a change from asylums and haunted houses. I was pleased to have the map to give direction as to where you should be. Hint filled fast and the walkthrough was good. Nice long game although you do get a hint as to where it is going by the photos. I should think there will be another one as the ending arrested the wrong person. Well done devs and bf. for bringing it to us.

The has got to be one of my favorite games yet. I was sorry to see it end. If the creators of this game made anymore of them................I would buy them all. Thanks for giving me a great game to play.

Great game
This is an excellent game, good level of difficulity and the graphics are great. There is a map which helps when you don't know exactly where you need to go next and hints also. The storyline is good and it keeps you interested and wanting to continue playing to get to the end. Quite new to playing HO game's but I've got quite a few now and I'm hooked!

Mountain murder mystery?
When I played the demo, I found this game interesting in that it played a bit more like an adventure game so I decided to get it. First off, the graphics are great, the music is good increasing at appropriate times and otherwise unobtrusive. The cutscenes and voice overs were great as well. The storyline started out well, but half way thru had figured who dun it which I felt detracted from the story.
The HOs are interesting in that you find items in a circle that then creates an item you use elsewhere. The puzzles were above average, but all were doable. It has a map which is very helpful if you choose to use it, I prefer finding my own way. It took me around 5 hours to play, and I did enjoy it just wish the storyline had been better.
As others have stated the ending was a big let down.
Overall I did enjoy the game as it offered a good challenge and mental workout.
