Wasted Opportunity Neither a few very nice gameplay innovations (including interactive hidden-object scenes which require items from your inventory to solve) nor some top-notch visuals (live action videos and some stunning creature animation in the later stages) can save this from devolving into an incomprehensible mess. The story starts off taut and interesting, with exciting in-game events which block and unblock routes across the map and some human obstacles instead of just relying on the normal mechanical locks and traps. But by the end all the usual problems have set in: the story isn't explained properly, with important plot elements appearing and disappearing without warning; the translation gets gradually worse, going from competent to awkward to plain incomprehensible in the space of a chapter; the ending is rushed and confused, with no attempt made to explain the motivations of either the antagonist or the supporting characters. It's clear the developers know what story they're trying to tell, but they haven't worked out how to get any of this information across to the player. The end result is a disappointing and turgid mess, made somehow worse by the huge promise shown in the initial stages. Still, if you don't pay attention to the stories in these things, the rest of the game is well done. But plot lovers should steer clear! November 12, 2011
NOT A FUN GAME The graphics are great as are the cut a way scenes. The hidden objects scenes are really overloaded with stuff that has nothing to do with the game--whatever that is!. After playing for an hour I had no idea where I was heading. The hint button recharges fast but really is no help . August 17, 2012
Hallowed Legends: Templar Collector's Edition Based on initial reviews and having played the collector's edition of the previous game, I bought this one during the sale. Maybe it's just my personal logic, but I had a very hard time following the story. The graphics were average. It was not intuitive to follow the weak plot and it was not very interesting. This is the first collector's edition where I never even played the bonus. I trashed it after playing the main game which I found difficult to finish. Sorry developers, I know you work hard to develop these games. January 4, 2012
A bit obtuse Sequence of play was far from intuitive although puzzles were well done. I don't recommend this game. January 5, 2012
templar i really didnt care for this game and i like all there other hide n seek games that i have purchase this game just didnt pull at me so i didnt purchase it November 21, 2011
but not for me Downloaded it recently and that's what I say. There were faint, but the action scenes are good in concept. Few of these games to interest, but not for me. There is a better November 18, 2011
Boring, with a capital "B" This game does have a few unusual twists in locating the hidden object puzzles, however, not enough to keep the game interesting. The player has to move back and forth from scene to another scene(the same two scenes) far too many times in order to complete one objective. This does not make for an interesting game but, (in the game developers mind) makes the game last longer, thereby justifying the cost. November 16, 2011
Very difficult puzzles I gave up after 15 minutes, this is not a game for casual players. The puzzles are difficult and very little explanation of what to do. November 17, 2011
Hallowed Legends Not my kind of game. Boring. I got bored really easy after playing this game for a few minutes. November 11, 2011
YAWN Boring, boring, boring!!! Even the main menu is ridiculous. Don't waste money or time on this one. November 21, 2011
