Some Suspension of Disbelief May Be Required
This is a visually stunning game. The graphics are lovely and the music is terrific. The puzzles are fun and plentiful, and I enjoyed playing the game quite a bit. There are a few spots, however, where I thought the logic of the game was a bit "iffy" and wondered how I was supposed to figure out that I was to use THAT object for THAT task. The game was great fun, and quite long, so if you don't mind a few head-scratching moments of "logic" you're in for a fun time. Very enjoyable!

New twist with neat graphics
Not the same ol' story, so that's a bonus. The HOS were good, not too difficult and figuring out some of them was actually pretty fun. The lock puzzles, on the other hand were not fun. I actually wound up skipping a lot of them because they were boring. Some I accidentally skipped because of the weirdness that turns your hint button into a skip button. The cut-scenes actually progressed the story and I didn't mind the real people used in them, though the acting was...well, they won't be winning awards. Otherwise, a nice way to spend an evening or two.

A very good and dark CE
excellent game, with hardcore mode, a fun twist to the hidden object scenes, challenging puzzles, love the ability to turn off the voices ( i hate voiceovers). Good length, bonus play ties in well. Well worth the CE price. Only detriment is the human actors, rather pathetic. Would have been fantastic without them!

The best game so far this year!!
Im very picky about games..but this game really blew me away! It was quite long and hard sometimes but i enjoyed every moment of it!
I especially like that they have put real actors in the game so make it look more realistic. And the voices and...oh well everything!
This is almost as good as Mystery Case Files!

Hallowed Legends: Templar CE
I played this game on the hardest level and found that it made for a more interesting and extra challenging gameplay. The sections of video were unexpected and made me jump alittle. The puzzles were more difficult than usual, I don't like when the puzzles are too easy because the game ends too soon.

Disappointing
Very little logic to forward progression in the game. One should not have to use "hints" at every screen in order to determine the next sequence of action needed. Disappointing!

not bad just not great
Better than some of there other ones but still not great. Elephant used to put out great ones. No voice over and the graphics are ok. Music is average but get tiring soon. The HOS are good and some are challenging to find them all. Morphine's to find but are easy, real easy. Lots of going all over the place to find things you do not need for awhile. That is the trouble. Too many things to find to keep a good flow going.

Not What I Expected
This game was such a disappointment. The only good things about it were the graphics, the SG, some of the cut scenes and some of the voice overs.
The storyline was thin and confusing. The game started out with a bang and I thought it was going to be really good, but then it went downhill quickly. The Templars "go rouge" which didn't work for me. There is an amazing amount of running around. Some of the HOS have to be partially completed, left to acquire other objects, then returned to so they can be completed. That was beyond frustrating. The logic of the game is minimal at best.
This game made use of live actors for the cut scenes. One of the actors was pretty good, the rest were average at best. The mini games were okay, but nothing new or different.
The ending of the main game was the most disappointing. I don't want to give anything away, but the actions you take with the final character you meet are beyond comprehension. I can't imagine what the game developers were thinking.
The best thing I can say about the bonus chapter is that you, as the player, get to make a decision between two options at the end of it. That was somewhat interesting. The "big twist" was not a twist at all as far as I'm concerned. If you pay attention at the end of the main game, you know exactly what the bonus game will cover.
I don't recommend this game. It requires too much suspension of disbelief and is too disjointed.

Revival of the Templar Order ???
Difficult to find anything wrong with this battle against Knights Templar enchained by some evil power which turns them into murderers. Creepy at times, explosive also, entertaining from A to Z with a (false) touch of danger, the game offers many goodies: interesting storyline, good level of challenge in both adventure and minigames, crisp, gorgeous artwork, rich, highly detailed scenery (you even get an old french 2CV Citroen ! LOL), very good live action video cutscenes, good orchestral soundtrack, interactive HOS's with many items yet never a hoarder's junkpile, a nice hint system, plenty of good puzzles some of which are innovative, many locales to visit and explore, long playime and awards. However the game is not that easy and will often require being creative even on Casual level. As an extra you have to find 50 collectibles (doves) that have nothing to do with the story but are just there for more fun. I recommend the CE because the bonus chapter is the logical conclusion of the adventure as well as a cliffhanger that lets us suppose there can be a sequel. The SE falls short of that chapter and hence lacks credibility. No game being perfect, a true 5 star rating is an impossibility. But Templar CE gets very close to that: 4.6

WOW!!! What a Great game!!!!!!!
When I saw the game, I knew I would probably buy it because I had enjoyed Samhain so much. But I enjoyed this one so much more. When I played the demo, I knew by the first HO that I was going to buy the CE which I don't usually do and hadn't really planned to do. I put off playing the game in anticipation of it and I was not disappointed, just sorry I waited so long. This game is so engrossing and entertaining that once I completed it, I was ready to start again.
