Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe's The Premature Burial Collector's Edition
love to play ERS games but now with all the going back and forth in the games I at times need a hint. I donot like going to the walk through just to see what to do next. So now if there is no hint button I do not buy.

Thrilling horror story
The flow of this game is adequate for an adaptation of a horror story, which means that you're not going to get too much of interaction but it compensates by giving you pieces of articles and stuff to read along the way to understand the plot.
PROs: Easy to play, entertaining.
CONs: The graphics and animations are not the best.

DARK TALES EDGAR ALL POE'S THE PREMATURE BURIAL CE
This game was fun throughout, the graphs were fantastic but some of the hidden object times were a little hard to find. I loved the ending.

Liked this game. Especially today for the sale price of $6.99. Great HO, storyline, sound etc. The Only thing is it does not have a "hint" button.

Excellent game, but......
Having really enjoyed "Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe's Black Cat" except for the strategy guide, I bought this one after playing the trial. In at least two respects this is a major improvement over it's predecessor. Unlike the Black Cat game, the strategy guide in this one keeps your place and, also, unlike the previous game, this one has voice-overs that I thought were well done. As with the previous game, the graphics are very good and the HOG scenes are good, somewhat challenging, and there are enough of them for my taste.
Now for the negative aspect, which for me was a deal-breaker. I was really liking the game until I got to the Voodoo shop and saw where the player is required to interact with a ouiji board. Had I known what a planchet (sp?) was in the previous HOG scene, I would have become suspicious as soon as it was put into the inventory. Due to my Christian beliefs, I am uncomfortable with occult themes so I immediately stopped playing the game. I wish BF would post warnings to indicate occult themes because the video did not show any. Had it not been for the occult themes and, especially if the player was not required to interact with them, I would have given the game 5 stars. Sorry, but I cannot recommend any game with occult themes. (Just my humble opinion).
