Mystical Island 1.3 5 86 86
The Worst Game I Ever Played ! With great effort, I played half an hour to see if improved, but only got worse ! There's only one level of difficulty. The story is not a bit interesting! The sound is boring! The graphics do not motivate ! The long... long... long dialogues are written. Thankfully you can skip. The game is all about HOS and annoying mini games. The HOS are too easy - and hint fills fast,... and you can click without penalties. The mini games are very silly - I'm glad I could skip without waiting. There are tips and sparkles on everything...all the time ! Was a total waste of time! January 10, 2012
ugh! This has to be one of the worst games. the graphics are just ok but the translation level is pathetic. They ask you to find a crest in the first HO when you get exasperated and og to hint What do you get??? A COMB!!! wouldn't waste my time downloading this January 10, 2012
POORLY MADE GAME You are found on an island with amnesia. Good basis for a story right? Not in this game! PROS: Good story line Graphics are ok Options menu is ok CONS: Spelling and grammar are terrible Misnamed items in hidden object scenes No skip on mini games/puzzles Very little instruction on any of it. Simply Awful This is a simple point & click HOG with puzzles thrown in which were beyond boring. However, when it came to using items from the inventory you had to drag them to the place you wished to use them and I had never come across this technique before - didn't like it. The graphics were disappointing for such a new game. There were no voice overs which would have been preferrable to having to endure reading the awful dialogues. This review is only based on first 25 mins of demo so I look forward to reading whether the game got any better! January 10, 2012
mystical island not so mystical sorry to the game developers but, this game takes forever to load every screen. Too much dialogue and the page turning is slow and cumbersome. Based on most HOG's this game is incredibly outdated in it's format. the coloration is dark and uninteresting not enough contrast. January 10, 2012
I Couldn't Delete This Game Fast Enough There were spelling mistakes in the written dialogue. In the hidden object games, which were boring, they asked for a "roulette" which turned out to be a measuring tape, and a "crest" which turned out to be a comb. The storyline was practically nonexistent. It should have been beta tested before it was offered for sale. January 10, 2012
Worst I've ever played I played for 6 minutes and already, in that time, the story line was unclear. In this day and age with all the wonderful technology at hand, this one is extremely unsophisticated - cheap and nasty. January 10, 2012
terrible Item names are not what the item actually is. eg. ladybird is a ladybug, chandileir is actually a candle stick, spanner is a wrench, mini games have very little to if any directions. January 10, 2012
A basic HOG of little value To put it in a nutshell I quit the demo after 36 minutes, when the 5th minigame tasked me with finding 24 differences. The first 4 puzzles are old clasics without any new twist: #1 gear puzzle, #2 wire puzzle, #3 I can't even remember, #4 defuse a bomb, eg: cut the wires in a specific order. No difficulty here and they can be skipped. The rest is nothing but a succession of HO Scenes in which objects came in lists, save one which had drawings instead. Hints recharge fast, but there is only 1 Mode of play. All HO scenes are easily and quickly done with. Linearity is optimum and the game babysits you permanently, telling you which task you are to perform and when. Nothing interesting or challenging there: repair a clock, repair an antenna, repair a radio, cut roots blocking a cockpit door, extinguish a fire.... In fact most of these tasks are the actual puzzles and minigames mentioned above. The inventory can only contains 3 items at a time; those I had were a screwdriver, pliers, the antenna and an axe. No way you can visit the very few locations at will since you are lead by the hand all the time. No voice-over, a soundtrack that's not too bad but is awfully repetitive, static and scripted intro and cutscenes, and a story which brings nothing to the game; it would actually make no difference if there wasn't one. As for the graphics....they are well below average, not ugly but dull. Nothing exciting either in the locations the number of which is reduced to the minimum; all are perfectly static, too. Navigation is non-existent. I suggest playing the demo before deciding to buy this game, but I am sorry to say I cannot possibly recommend it. January 10, 2012
Only played about 10 mins. I downloaded the demo and played for long enough to find out that the grammar, spelling and translation to English was poor, poor, poor! I guess for some people that is ok. For me it is a total distraction and kinda' indicates the quality of the game. The graphics are good and the HO scenes did present some challenge because of the dark video, but I have trouble getting past the dialog which, to me, is part of the fun and storyline. If this doesn't bother you, play on! January 10, 2012
