Hallowed Legends: Templar
Expected more and tough to follow
Did not like the storyline and the game - no flow to it and it really didn't make sense. I purchased as I thought it was good then found it to be really disjointed. Never really got into it and just a mess of a game. Even the book that is supposed to keep track doesn't .follow through or tell you what is going on. There are many better games to purchase than this one

HOG games are becoming very predictable. This one is a good example of a game that has many superior attributes, but becomes frustrating and tedious as the game goes on.
About half way through the game, I was so spread out with a bunch of nebulous inventory items that I had to keep hitting the hint button to progress. IMHO, this takes the "fun" out of a game. AAMOF, I would bet that there are a few tasks that NO ONE could figure out without some help. There's a map, but it's not interactive.
So, here we are....foreign programmers cranking out dozens of HOG's with spectacular graphics and seemingly endless scenes and tasks, only to make some of us wish the game would just end.
Mystery Case Files set the bar too high for the number of games being produced. I bought this one sight unseen, because I really liked Sam Hain. I wish I had played the demo first. Bah Humbug!!!

sorry but i found this game very disappointing. the graphics were bad. even when you click on hint to find an object you couldn't see it. i couldn't wait to get to the end so i could delete it. don't waste your money. wish i could say something good about the game but can't.............

Hallowed Legends: Templar
IT JUST DIDNT HOLD MY INTREST FOR LONG

Started good....then became not so fun
The game seemed like it would be a lot of fun at first, but as I continued on it was quite boring. Not to mention the actors were TERRIBLE! I found myself thinking the game was coming to an end several times and when it didn't I was disappointed that I had to continue on to finish the darn thing.

Running around randomly
I hated this game. I could not get any sense of direction or purpose. The use of the inventory items frequently defied any sense of logic or common sense. Did not enjoy in the least.

Not My Taste
Everyone's taste is different, so the things that bothered me about this game might be virtues to other players.
Things I did like. 1, the game lasted a long time, so you get your money's worth. 2, the game was divided into chapters, so you don't have to search every room in the game to find where the latest HOS just appeared. 3, if you're color blind and have to skip color based puzzles, this one didn't have too many.
What I didn't like
1, This game, like many HOGs, has HOSs with compound objects. That is, you have to uncover something or combine two objects to get the one you need. That part is fun. This is the first game I've played where some of the compound objects come from the player's inventory, not the HOS. Not a problem once you figure that out. The problem is that very often, the inventory object you need hasn't been found yet causing you to leave the HOS unfinished.
2, Some of the HOSs were not fair. When I can't find an object, I will use a hint. When I do, I usually realize that I could have found it if I looked harder. Not this game. There were too many HOSs where I used hints to find objects and realized that I wouldn't have found them no matter how hard I looked.
3, Many puzzles were poorly designed. It was impossible to figure out what you needed to do and the instructions were no help. In one case, I had to skip an arithmetic problem because I just couldn't figure out what needed to be done. This is especially frustrating because I work with numbers for a living. There were too many puzzles designed just as badly that I had to skip.
4, In any adventure game you have to accept that the game designer will create solutions that would never occur to you. (The following is NOT a spoiler.) For example, I would never think that you could get the witch out of the belfry by throwing a pineapple at her, but that might be the solution. Once or twice, a solution I would never think of makes the game fun. However, too many and the game gets very tedious very fast. It means that, on every problem, I had to try every inventory object no matter how unlikely it seemed.
Bottom line is that the game just wasn't fun. It became too tedious a few hours in and I quit without finishing. First time I ever did that.

i hated this game i though it was to confusing and the story line didn't make any sense. You also had to back track alot to find things. There was no easy flow
