Beautiful Game Finally a fun, beautiful, and not too dark game. I am really tired of the gloomy, depressing games. This one is a joy to listen to, see and play. Puzzles are fun, sometimes a little hard..but not impossible. Thank you to the designers of this game. I've played Big Fish games for a very long time, and appreciate getting back to some beauty and a very pleasant game experience. Also, thank you for not having the usual, lazy designers hidden object scenes. Great Game! November 19, 2011
Started out with a bang...fizzled out This game started out fast and moved quickly. The graphics and music were outstanding and paired well together. It seemed like there was more variety of music that is typical. Only late in the game did the music start to grate on my nerves when stuck on a puzzle. The mini-games were clever but extremely easy with only 2 or 3 that took time to work through. One having to do with avoiding like pieces being repeated on a board vertically, horizontally, and diagonally became just tedious. Skip button! But after that initial bang the game ended quickly requiring about half the time it usually takes and I am a slow player. The bonus play was also quick to finish, unimaginative, and seemed tacked on. This one showed such promise at the beginning but just sort of petered out. Even so, I still would recommend the standard version just for some of the fun (though easy) puzzles and beautiful music and graphics. They really did do a beautiful job in that arena. Too bad that excellence didn't carry into storyline and game play time. February 6, 2012
An Unworthy Successor This game is an unworthy successor to the two previous games in the Azada series. I was so excited to see Azada 3 at last that I bought the CE, which I rarely do. I regret that decision now. The game starts out in an interesting way, with an opening reminiscent of the train in Syberia I and II. The first "book" was an interesting interactive adventure with some too-easy puzzles, and a useful hint system. After that the game has gone steadily down hill for me. There is neither a real plot nor any interesting character development. The puzzles are two easy. The hints become less and less usable. And the atmosphere of the game becomes more gruesome and eerie; many developers seem to think this is a good substitue for story or character development. I don't really mind that the game was a different genre than the other two Azada ones. What I do mind is the low quality and cheap thrills. I doubt I'll finish it. December 7, 2011
Not happy I'm furious. I can't belive ERS took a game that is in a class by itself and made it into another cookie cutter game they put out. I played the second Azada for the fourth time about a month ago, and at the end the "to be contued" set me off to find out when. When I saw that it would be soon I was over joyed But when it came out and I saw that ERS had taken it over I honestly felt like crying. ERS hasen't come out with a fresh game in a very long time. They just chang the names and the venue. I won't be buying anymore November 25, 2011
Overall a solid game It should be made clear this is an adventure game where you wander the world finding interactive hidden objects interspersed with a variety of challenging puzzles. There are no list-style HO scenes as you typically see in a HOG. I am a huge fan of Azada games. The puzzles are original and challenging but have a solid foundation in logic which makes them possible to think your way through. I definitely recommend In Libro, although I far preferred Ancient Magic's style and storyline. I would have awarded 5 stars but at the CE price - it was a bit shorter, 5 or 6 hours of play, slightly less challenging than previous Azada games, and seemed a bit rushed to release (a few minor errors in spelling, etc). An "okay" value - I still had a lot of fun thinking my way through the puzzles and storyline. I would buy it again. November 20, 2011
Disappointed I love the first 2 azadas because they are so different. This one is like any other hidden object game. I was hoping that it was a continuation of the 2nd, with more books, or another library or something. I wish I would have tried it out first, because I would not have bought it. November 19, 2011
A Beautiful Adventure This Azada, the 3rd in the series, is a sound evolution to those that went before. It is a pure Puzzle Adventure game, no Hidden Object scenes at all, which is very unusual and much appreciated. The game is comprised of searching for and collecting inventory items to solve all sorts of situations that arise, from clearing blocked paths to opening clever locks, many of the later being puzzles as well. For me the level of difficulty was just about right, enough to challenge but the solution coming pretty quickly. Perhaps a tiny bit on the easy side. The story is minimal, just a thread to string the adventure together, but the lack of it wasn't noticeable amongst the excellent game play. The illustration style graphics are impressive and beautifully colored. My *only* complaint was in the Widescreen Mode the image was bounded on all sides by black rather than just pillar boxing which I would expect. This is odd because the field is rectangular so it should have fit well on the orientation of wide screen monitors. Without the Widescreen Mode on some of the image was cut off. I am pretty picky about what Collector Editions I buy. I bought this one simply because I did not want to wait to keep playing it after trying the demo and I was sorry to see it end when completed. Azada: In Libro is a wonderful game that I would place on a favorites list. November 19, 2011
All that wait for.......? I loved the first 2 Azadas and waited, and waited..............for the 3rd, that I thought would be fantastic because rumor had it they were not happy with the outcome of #3 and sent it back for more work, so I just knew it was going to be great! As stated in other reviews, the game lacked a good story line, and it was very short! The bonus in the collector's edition was NOT worth the extra $$! It became very tiring to wait for the diary to finish flipping its pages so you could read it, and then most of the time, it didnt tell you anything you didnt already know or just got done doing! It was dark and dreary and did NOT hold up to the previous Azadas! you just kept waiting for the game to go somewhere and it never did, then all of a sudden, it was over, leaving you with a "what did I miss" feeling. And where did all these demons and devils come from!? I hope if they make a 4th, it wont be anything like this one!! December 13, 2011
4 hours game play to finish POOR waste of money i have played and loved the other Azada games, this one was not worth the price. Simplistic puzzles, linear progression too simple too short. November 28, 2011
Questionable value of CE version If I had not bought the CE version, I would have given this game 3 stars for the abrupt ending prior to the bonus game play. It didn't make sense, and didn't up tie lose ends. The bonus game should have been in standard mode and was so short that it doesn't justify paying double. It did tie up lose ends though. I gave it 4 stars for the graphics, and puzzles that were unique. There are 3 levels of play at the beginning of the game: easy, medium & hard. I played the hard mode. The puzzles in the hard mode were what I would expect in the easy mode. There was no increase in the level of difficulty, so they always seemed too short & too easy to figure out. The best part of the hard mode was there were no in-game hints, and best of all no sparkles. The cursor would change to a hand or a magnifying glass in the active areas, but there were no unwanted hints like "a wrench sure would be handy in this situation". However, there is a hint button that I used a couple of times after I exhausted all brain cells, and it was helpful. Hidden Object game (HOG) or not? There seems to be contradictions of the genre of this game, even in the reviews. I prefer adventure games without HOGs. I do think the description of the game is misleading and will disappoint gamers who love HOGs. I guess some reviewers are calling it a HOG game because you still have to search for inventory items and use them just like you do in all adventure games. There is no lists of items to find in a scene like a typical HOG game (at least not in hard mode), so I don't consider it a HOG. November 20, 2011
