Excellent Hidden Object Game
I have just finished playing the complete game including the bonus. I found the graphics stunning and the voice overs and cut scenes well done. The HOG's were fairly standard with some interaction needed. The puzzles were mainly easily solvable but some were more difficult. The storyline was consistent and held my interest to the point where I had to complete the bonus game - something I do not always do. I would recommend that you also do so if you purchase this game. I loved it and recommend that you check it out.

Fantastic game!
Just had to write a review whilst waiting for full game to D/L. It has amazing graphics, but what really sets it apart are the incredible animations! If these are the games of the future, the more the merrier.
A lot of thought and work has gone into this game. The music is fitting, advanced or casual play options, very good interactive HOG scenes, excellent graphics. Spooky, but the more spooky the more I like them.
Of all the games out there, this ranks as one of the very best!

Riveting
Where to start. This game was done with a lot of thought. One definitely needs to get the Collector's Edition because it adds a little extra to the game itself. I bet there is going to be a part 2 to this game.
Well the game itself has 2 options in game play, Regular and Expert, i choose Regular. The voice over was tremendously well done. One can actually look around because the voice over will not continue untill you press next, nice choice i think. One also has time to read the verbal without disappearing so quickly. The HOS were cleverly hidden and sometimes a little too hard. The story was done extremely well and i was right into it throughout the whole game. Nice. I did find that in some of the HOS that i needed to click a couple of times on the same object before i got a response. Luckily there is no penalty for clicking. The music fit the game, and some i must say was rather enjoyable to listen to. In the bonus game, i had a problem finding the bones but i backtracked till i found it and was able to complete the game. Over all this is one great game and worth every penny and i simply loved it.

Loved the game
The graphics were great and I thought even though only 4 chapters and bonus it was worth the CE price. The strategy guide was exactly where you left off and did not go back to the table of contents..KUDOS. The bonus chapter completed the game and was completely in line with the story. It could have been a little longer but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The HOG scenes were well done and not too easy and they seemed to encompass the story.

Nice Game
Although this was a nice game it wasn't what I thought it would be. I found the graphics to be rather grainy looking and sometimes hard to find things. The strategy guide was somewhat helpful but not as good as some I've seen. I liked the real people being in the game I thought that was a very nice touch plus there were little surprises all around for instance the living doorknob that had a cold and the little imp's I think the dev's stepped out of the box for that and I thought that was a really unique and nice touch and I hope to see more like that in future games. The game play was fun and alot of back and forth. The hint system was helpful and charged up fairly quick. All in all it was a good game but not exactly what I would expect for a CE but still good.

A standard, not very challenging "adventure"
This story, from the developers of the Fear for Sale series, involving a nasty witch [witches are always nasty by definition] is a conventional blend of HOG and simple Adventure.
The games starts off nicely but since the demo doesn't take you farther than the beginning of Chapter 2 [pages 9 to 11], it is [once again] difficult to determine whether the rest gets better or not.
The 1 hour I spent in company of the heroine, the little girl and the witch was nevertheless quite pleasant, easy going and pretty straighforward.
HOGs are a bit crowded as usual but quite manageable and the Hint System helpful although it doesn't recharge fast. It also points at what you need to see or do.
And of course guess what one of the hidden objects is ?... a skull [they're everywhere, LOL !]. Nothing scary however, the game being gentle and the developers conscious not to go to extremes in the field of gloom.
Among the tasks I noted with amusement one very funny invention; you have to do something very special to a door handle. I will not say what, obviously. The rest is similar to the tasks you're used to perform in other games.
The puzzles I saw were interesting though not extraordinary and perfectly solvable without any help. They can be skipped and reset.
Backtracking throughout the demo is reduced to a minimum as the game is rather linear. This may change as of Chapter 2... maybe. As a result, the number of locations to explore seems to be low, but that also may change later on in the game.
I was surprised by the relative poverty of the other features. I expected stunning visuals; they are nice, well drawn and lively colored, but nothing more than that.
Same remark regarding the intro, custcenes and animations; not bad, movie like, but not astounding.
The voice-overs are so-so as they don't sound very natural, except the witch's voice acting which is a little better. They were a lot more convincing in Sunnyvale.
The worst is the music: awful; one theme played on the organ sounds like church music during a funeral, another is simply ridiculous, without any melody. I turned it off.
Let's add to that: 2 Modes, a wide screen option, and a custom cursor.
I am not sure the CE is worth the extra expense; I am waiting for the SE. But one thing is certain: the game would have gained in quality had the artwork been polished and the soundtrack redone from scratch.
Can be recommended in spite of the imperfections.

Ok Game but NOT CE worthy
This game is VERY short! It's not a bad game, but I don't think it should be CE by any stretch. Pretty much a good seek and find. The puzzles are either so easy that there is no challenge or so abstract that there is no way to see where there going with it (at least not to me)
The hints recharge quickly and the SG was helpful, but in all honesty I could have just used the hint button. It was good.
The artwork is ok, and the game is pretty cool, but I was done in less than 4 hours and that seems like a short game for $14. To be fair, I have not played the bonus content, but I usually don't.. There are 4 chapters and while the 4th is by far the longest, I was really expecting more.
The ending is weird and rather sudden and leaves you knowing that there is going to be a sequal. I was shocked at how much detail went into the game and then, suddenly, it was over.
All in all, not a bad game but WAY too short for a CE. I cannot recommend the game as a CE but as a regular edition, it would be a definate buy!

Solid
I liked this game. Took me approximately 3 hours to complete, bonus game included. I am a fast player. The graphics were great and I had no trouble seeing things or seeing what needed to be done. There was a bit of footwork in this game, not to mention frequent stops for HOS. However, the storyline was intriguing. The voiceover was pretty good, but the music left a little to be desired on my end. I turned it down. The puzzles were fairly easy but a couple slowed me down. I recommend you try it!

Really liked it!
There were just enough quirky little graphics in the demo at least (which is all I got to play) that the game seemed cute and fun to play. I thought the music and voice overs where pretty decent as well. Storyline seems interesting enough to make you want to keep playing to see where this goes. With so many CE's coming out one after another, unfortunately I can't buy them all so with this one and others, I'll have to wait until the SE's come out and just hope they're good enough.
There seems to be a good balance of HOS to adventure and searching around different places. Thumbs up on this one for me!

A Witchy Wonderful Way to Wind Down...
Witches' Legacy: The Charleston Curse Collector's Edition had me intrigued by the first 5 minutes and hooked in 10. This game utilized all of the elements of needed to make one superior package in the HOG's genre: Unique story line, fine graphics, great sound quality, excellent mini-games that didn't become tedious & some really worked out that ol' gray matter. I purchased the full CE game before I even finished the demo...that doesn't happen often. My fingers are crossed that part two is already in the making...
