Am I The Only One? I must be the only one who didn't like this game. Oscar's voice downright annoying and having to "click down" 10 times at one point - are you kidding? I was not able to play it all in one go and it was easy to lose track of where I was coming back to it after a couple days. Compared to other similiar games, it seemed way too short. (I did play the demo and was looking forward to the full game but only found it disappointing). January 30, 2012
Disappointing at best This game was dull and uninteresting. Very few hidden object scenes and not very challenging puzzles. Rather redundant in how to solve each step. Don't waste your money or credits on this one. February 10, 2012

Excellent Game Hampered by Excessive Backtracking and Poor Map/Hints This game could have been such an excellent game. Everything was there to make it so: a great storyline, good plot twists, an evil villain who is truly frightening, creepy music and sound effects, puzzles and HOs that are equally balanced and not too frustrating. Why the low rating? Unfortunately, this game is crippled by excessive backtracking. There is a grossly inadequate hint system which says "there is nothing to do here" instead of pointing you in the right direction... and you need to be pointed, as the map is a three page contraption with no interaction and a confusing maze of rooms and outdoor locations. I slogged through three hours of wandering around, trying to find out where to go, totally frustrated at times. I used the walk through quite a bit, but it was also hampered by vague directions (as in, "go to the bathroom" which was on another level completely and had to be accessed by doglegging onto a balcony and beyond). I finally gave up after going into the elevator to go outside to get to the garden to get to the mermaid, only to realize that I had to access the other outside exit, which was located on another floor, which was another riddled maze to get through. I suddenly realized I could care less, which was a pity, as I would have enjoyed this otherwise excellent game. I quit 3/4 of the way through, and I have no regrets other than I wasted money and time on what was, for me, a flawed game. October 24, 2014
Loved It, Right Till the End... of which there was NONE I thought this was one of the best-made games I'd ever played. I spent the entire game on the edge of my seat, and was thrilled with every puzzle. I played through the whole game in ONE day, because I was so engrossed, and found the storyline creepy and incredibly engaging. Then, I got to the end. Such as there was. I refuse to post spoilers, but I will tell you this: I feel REALLY cheated! The game didn't have an ending, then promised the ending in the collector's edition, which I think is a total rip-off. As good as it was, I'd say don't waste your money, unless you want to be frustrated. April 11, 2013
