Hmmmm
A LOT of backtracking!! This game is very repetitive, as far as game play. The radio puzzle was cool, but that doesn't make a good game overall. No wonder the dude searching for things is always coughing, because of the backtracking LOL.

Really fun, interesting game. Can't wait for part 2!
Brink of consciousness is a great, fun, challanging game. The voice acting is really good. The main character doesn't talk during gameplay, but you still know he's there as his breathing increases in tense situations. I really don't like hidden object games that much, but this is the right mix of hidden object mixed with point and click adventure. The soundtrack is really good as well and fits with the mood of the story. If you like psychological thrillers then you will like this game. The only thing I regret is that I didn't buy the collectors edition!! :(

Thought it would be better..
I want to first say this was an average game, I felt it was more for a beginner, the puzzles were very easy and I almost finished the whole game within an hour. I didnt finish it out of sheer boredom and the main character was constantly talking to the point I actually shut off my speakers. Everytime you go somewhere he is talking to you, even without the speakers he still is talking (you can shut off the dialog) but you wont be able to move until he's done. I really wouldnt recommend this game...The graphics were cool though......

Dorian Gray
Game was full of twists and turns! Clues were confusing; I seemed to be going aorund in circles most of the time trying to figure out where I was going next? Repeating room over and over again was very boring.
Graphics were average.
This is just not my type of game!!

Going back and forth!
Great idea, nice visual and sound, BUT way too much going back and forth. When you're quite far ahead in the game, you find an object that you have to go back to one of the first rooms with, and that just keeps happening! I spent roughly 60 % game time going - quite far - between rooms because you didn't find the necessary item for room 3 before room 12 etc. That's really irritating!

Wish I had known
This was a good game but I wish I had known that in order to see the ending I need to play the collectors edition. If I want to see the ending I have to pay another 13.99 and probably play the game over again. Is it worth it? Probably not.

This is a great game...hands down!
I had 1 more game to buy to fill my punchcard... ok, it's between this game and Haunted Manor:Queen of Death. After demo-ing both games, Brink of Consciousness won hands down! I understand that some are getting lost in the Manor, but I felt the map, although not interactive, was helpful (especially the blue arrow, which shows the direction you're headed from the bottom of your screen). Oscar's voice-over was very Hannibal Lecter "esque", and I really enjoyed what this brought to the story! The puzzles were fun and challenging. I am so glad I only had 5 punches...this was a GREAT way to finish off the month!

Most Interesting Game
After only 10 minutes of the demo I knew I had to have this game. It was one of the best I have ever played from this site and it has some of the most unusual puzzles. The music was a bit somber but fit the game completely. My only criticism was the constant running back and forth. An interactive map would have been most helpful and welcomed.

Brink of Boredom
Beautiful graphics, great twist near the end, fantastic storyline & villain and fab location.......so why the low rating and what went wrong?
Quite frankly the traipsing back and forth a long way was tiring. By the time you'd found what you were looking for you'd forgotten where it was supposed to go. The map, which was supposed to be helpful, wasn't. It didn't show where you should go, nor did it show you where the hog scenes were which it should have done.
The puzzles were uninspiring and i skipped most of them as they were boring.
I nearly gave up playing but stuck at it till the bitter end as id paid for it.
So, a frustrating game, which is a shame as the story had potential......but if you don't mind a LOT of traipsing about then you wont mind this game..if however you prefer a game which has an instant travel map then you might want to give this a miss.

Loved It, Right Till the End... of which there was NONE
I thought this was one of the best-made games I'd ever played. I spent the entire game on the edge of my seat, and was thrilled with every puzzle. I played through the whole game in ONE day, because I was so engrossed, and found the storyline creepy and incredibly engaging.
Then, I got to the end. Such as there was. I refuse to post spoilers, but I will tell you this: I feel REALLY cheated! The game didn't have an ending, then promised the ending in the collector's edition, which I think is a total rip-off. As good as it was, I'd say don't waste your money, unless you want to be frustrated.
