Very confusing HO games
I found the HO segments very confusing. It was unclear what was being asked of you. I strongly suggest people try the Trial version before buying.

An Enjoyable Game
Based on completed CE game...
OVERALL: As soon as I tried the demo I knew I wanted to play the whole thing. I loved the graphics and the mood of the game. The story was interesting and drew me in immediately.
PUZZLES: I like a mixture of puzzles without too many HO and this was perfect in variety. I do, however, love challenging puzzles and IMO these were all very easy and straight-forward.
I would have preferred a greater range of difficulty but it was very relaxing game play.
INTERACTIONS: I enjoyed the storyline thoroughly and didn't skip any of the cut-scenes (though you are able to) because I enjoyed the narrative and there weren't too many interruptions. I also prefer the text based conversations with graphics to dubbed human actors. Seems I've played quite a few games lately with very obvious dubbing and I find it very distracting.
NOT FOR KIDS: I try to keep a look out for games that my 10 year old son would enjoy as well but this would not be one of them. There are some creepy characters in this game and the music (well done IMO) adds to the creepiness.
ACHIEVEMENTS: I loved the achievements, some were very humorous! (regarding the sheep)
ENDING: The game does end satisfactorily so SE users won't be disappointed.
DETAILS:
Just over 4 hours for the main game on hardcore.

A rarity....A diamond!
This game was excellent, so good in fact that I bought the SE.....and then bought the CE!! the Graphics, the sounds, the music, the story lines...all of it! The HO are not piles of dumped random junk, the puzzles are both easy and hard....and hints and skips refill at good speed. Only one teeny fault, when I went to turn up the volume during the speaking parts, it skipped the lot.....felt a bit cheated, but that will be fixed soon when I start the CE

awesome game!
great add ons. love the achievements. nice graphics and drawings. story line is great too. the mini games are not complicated and the HOS are slighty different than the standard "heres a list and go find it"

Great and a must buy
I really enjoyed playing this game. Not too difficult and a good storyline. One of my favorites. You will enjoy playing this one.

Very good game
I played the fallow up trial and loved it so I looked for this one to play the trial play. Glad I did. Very nice game. Good story line. Neat puzzles. Hint button was great when needed.

Excellent game
I bought this game without trying the demo because I love BoomZap. Also based on the many others who have reviewed this game, I found many good things to say about this game. As usual, great graphics, storyline might not be the most original but it flows nicely. I found the characters interesting, esp. the hobgoblin which I think very cute. The mini games, like many other BZ games, are a lot in this game, but some are manageable, I even can finish 50 without skipping, which is a record! The music is great, but similar to Dana Knightstone series.. I finish this game in 5 hours. The guide is interactive, and the map is quite useful although you won't need it a lot since there is few backtracking needed. Excellent game, I say. Another well done game from BZ!

Girly Fantasy Game
Fun game completed in 4 and a half hours.
Challenging puzzles and lovely settings, but confusing storyline.
Would recommend to younger female players.
Terrible fake British accent of narrator!

Still My Favorite!
Otherworld: Spring of Shadows Collector's Edition is one of the first Hidden Object games I purchased, and it's still my go-to game when I'm bored and not ready to buy something new. The plot is in intriguing, the graphics are fascinating, and the narrator's accent is really fun.

Better than expected
This is a VERY beautiful game and the story is not boring. It's one of those games that just sucks you in this magical world that you will end up playing for hours and in the end you'll feel glad you did.
