Scary :s I must say, the info on the game is sort of misleading. I had expected a simple search to discover a girl who had run off to some sort of mythical area, but then suddenly I'm bombarded with the view of a scary creature who shatters a mirror Fiona has been hiding in and crawls out only to scare the living daylights out of you. Or, in my case, have me hugging any cat I can find and turning all the lights on. I scare easily, and though the sound quality is great, it definitely gave me a fright when the Thing popped out. The colours are astonishingly beautiful, and the backgrounds are creative if nothing else. I did appreciate the style in which the creeps are drawn, but I just wish they were less creepy. I suppose that's my fault for not turning the game off the moment I heard the line 'I was not alone in my new house'. All in all, if you like a scary game, I do recommend it to you. If you're ok with it but would like to be sure just in case it's not your thing, I'd play it during the day-hours and keep something warm and cuddly around. If you aren't one of those hard-core scare-your-pants-off gamers, then do not play this game. Seriously. I mean it. Don't try it and act all cool 'cos you'll be afraid to go to the washroom at night. Not as good as it looks Starts with a lot of promise and then devolves into a boring, repetitive game that was more work than it was fun to complete. Silly mini games that were tedious at best. Graphics and artwork were inconsistent, some really good, some very flat and uninspired. Really wish I had not wasted money on this one. January 23, 2012
Not for me! I played the trial hour of this on the easiest level and found it only mediocre. I agree with other reviewers that the guide is of little help. I gave up when I used too much time having to search for the final spider. Yes, the visual aspect of this game is excellent, but if the game is tedious - what's the point? There's no way I'd pay $14 for this game. January 30, 2012
Played quite awhile and had no HOS Of all the HOG's I've played, I liked this the least. I haven't been playing long enough to be expert, but I thought the integrated guide was hard to read (compared to every other game I've purchased) and I didn't think the flowery scenes were concise...kind of blurry..I would not buy this game. Games like Lost Souls, Masestro, Notes of Life had great visuals and I personally like the regular HOS scenes. If you look at my games I've purchased, they were all better than this one. I'm glad you give us a trial game before buying. I usually enjoy them all. I certainly would not pay the Collector's Edition price. I'm not trying to be so negative, because I've always enjoyed your games....but this one I would not want if it was free. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to express my opinion. January 24, 2012
For beginners only This game is not for hard core HOG's, a little on the weak side no surprises, too many flowers. I was bored in the first 10 minutes. The name of the name is misleading, glad I didn't buy!!!! January 25, 2012
Boring I found this game boring. The only thing I liked was the scenery. That is beautiful. I had to take a star away for the scary images. I dont care for those. I took a star away because I didn't care for the storyline. And I took a star away because I cant stand games that you click on something and you cant use the item right away. They make you go back and forth just to be able to pick up the item. I dont mind going back and forth but they should have a HOG scene or some kind of puzzle in each scene to keep you interested. Game is slow moving, thank god for the built in guide. I have played many HOGs and this one is the slowest and the most tedious for looking for solutions. Most Hidden Object games I occasionally will need to look at a walkthrough (strategy guide), but this one I feel I am in it more than the game. I find that I spending more time using the hint switch because I can't see the spiders or the pieces of pottery in the water because they are so well incorporated. It's nice to be able to distinguish components. April 18, 2012
Very confusing HO games I found the HO segments very confusing. It was unclear what was being asked of you. I strongly suggest people try the Trial version before buying. February 27, 2013
Boring Yet another boring game with average graphics quality. January 28, 2012
