Otherworld: Spring of Shadows Collector's Edition
Not for me!
I played the trial hour of this on the easiest level and found it only mediocre. I agree with other reviewers that the guide is of little help. I gave up when I used too much time having to search for the final spider.
Yes, the visual aspect of this game is excellent, but if the game is tedious - what's the point?
There's no way I'd pay $14 for this game.

Played quite awhile and had no HOS
Of all the HOG's I've played, I liked this the least. I haven't been playing long enough to be expert, but I thought the integrated guide was hard to read (compared to every other game I've purchased) and I didn't think the flowery scenes were concise...kind of blurry..I would not buy this game. Games like Lost Souls, Masestro, Notes of Life had great visuals and I personally like the regular HOS scenes. If you look at my games I've purchased, they were all better than this one. I'm glad you give us a trial game before buying. I usually enjoy them all. I certainly would not pay the Collector's Edition price. I'm not trying to be so negative, because I've always enjoyed your games....but this one I would not want if it was free. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to express my opinion.

For beginners only
This game is not for hard core HOG's, a little on the weak side no surprises, too many flowers. I was bored in the first 10 minutes. The name of the name is misleading, glad I didn't buy!!!!

I found this game boring. The only thing I liked was the scenery. That is beautiful. I had to take a star away for the scary images. I dont care for those. I took a star away because I didn't care for the storyline. And I took a star away because I cant stand games that you click on something and you cant use the item right away. They make you go back and forth just to be able to pick up the item. I dont mind going back and forth but they should have a HOG scene or some kind of puzzle in each scene to keep you interested.

Game is slow moving, thank god for the built in guide.
I have played many HOGs and this one is the slowest and the most tedious for looking for solutions. Most Hidden Object games I occasionally will need to look at a walkthrough (strategy guide), but this one I feel I am in it more than the game.
I find that I spending more time using the hint switch because I can't see the spiders or the pieces of pottery in the water because they are so well incorporated. It's nice to be able to distinguish components.

Very confusing HO games
I found the HO segments very confusing. It was unclear what was being asked of you. I strongly suggest people try the Trial version before buying.

The game started out being a bright and beautiful scenario with colorful gardens, including cute bunnies, along with lovely music. But that changed after finding the locket, which ushered in a very dark and ugly atmosphere. The beauty turned into wretchedness, with an creepy evil character which was holding this little girl captive, making it even creepier. Even the bunnies in the garden turned sinister, with their tongues hanging out. Gross! I do not recommend this game to anyone that enjoys the brighter side of life and plays games for enjoyment; it's more for those that like to sit in the dark and daydream.
