Nightfall Mysteries: Black Heart Collector's Edition
another hohum game
As I stated in a review of another game, too many IHOGs are falling into the same trap. Somebody gets kidnapped and the character being portrayed by the game player( 95 % of the time a woman ) needs to find the way to save the day. The hidden object areas in this game are not hard as nothing is really well hidden and the puzzles are sophomoric at best. Then there are the nonsensical events that occur. In this game, a helicopter crashes and the heroine wonders if the occupant(s) are ok. She goes to the burning crashsite and all we get is a HOG scene. Within that scene are items that would almost never ever be in a helicopter. The devs just are not doing their homework. In this case why not make us search for items consistent with chopper contents. The devs are putting out game after game in such a rapid manner that a lot of the thought that should be in them has evaporated. At this stage I am much more satisfied replaying the games I own than spending $$$ for new games that seem old from the getgo. I'll stay away from this one and hope the game makers attempt a stab at something novel.

Based on the DEMO....
The storyline via the demo only, was completely disjointed as well as the overall theme of the graphics and layout. A mix of gothic, modern, caricature, horror, romantic.... bottom line a mishmash. This may have worked had the overall theme of the game picked it up in the script, yet it did not.
It was as though the developer hypothetically took a hodgepog of storyline, characters and art, put them in a bag, shook them up, and developed a game based on how they all landed on the table.
Puzzles are disjointed and not practical... ie. requiring multiple items for basically the same mundane task in different areas that are close by, an accident which occurs is not even followed up.
I don't want to play a character who plays the part of having no concern for an accident victim, for starters. Love may rule the heart but that's a bit much, very cold... maybe that is why it's called "black" heart, I would hope that would only apply to the villain, not the hero aka main character which it already appears to be based on the demo script!? Sorry, not for me.
Bottom line, absolutely nothing in the demo grabbed me enough to want to purchase the game... perhaps during a sale or DD just to check out more of why others rated it so highly. (!?)

Not my cup of tea
I didn't enjoy this game although the graphics are good and the puzzles challenging. I just can't get into it and won't bother to finish it. I regret buying it. It started good hence I bought it but the bathroom scene (without revealing any spoiler) really put me off... and from then on, I just gave up.

This game might have been fun, but the graphics were so horrible I could hardly read the letters on the HOGs. Very disappointing after loving the prequel. Giving up after the first half hour.

Nightfall Mysteries:Black Heart CE
This game bored the living daylights out of me.I didn't play until the hour was up,i uninstalled it way before that. The graphics were horrible they looked grainy, dialogue worse the only thing that was a bit substantial was the HO.I didn't even want to know what happens next with this game.Don't waste your time and money on game that is really lacking and boring.
