A true mystery
Worth the time and money. The story was good and I couldn't guess the ending. Plenty of fun twists and turns. I did need a few hints, which is good. The puzzles were good for my average puzzle ability. Some were more complicated than others. Some new types of puzzles too! Overall, it's why I play these games.

great fun!
This game was a lot of fun to play, with assorted historical characters such as Houdini and his wife, Arthur Conan Doyle and others. There are lots of nice little touches to this game, such as playing up the real-life conflict between spiritualists and debunkers at the time. There is a lot of clicking necessary but hey, it's just a click. I loved this one.

Excellent Fun and Value for the Money
This game was the most fun and challenge I've had for a non-collector's level. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone.

What a terrific game! I Played The Game Three Times Really Awesome games.I did not need to skip any of the puzzles Through Out The Two Last Game.Great I Got All the clovers and Ravens throughout the game.I love the Midnight Mysteries games. They are always lots of fun and usually end with me trying to find out all I can about the real event that the game is based on.Please Keep up the excellent work Thanks:

Another great one from Midnight mysteries!
I've enjoyed every Midnight Mysteries game that has come out, and this one is by far the best in quality. It has a solid length, challenging puzzles that aren't diabolical, and fun HOS.
The story is pretty good, but sometimes I lost interest in it simply because I did research on houdini before, and this story was pretty much bogus...but its fun to get into the conspiracy theory.
I can't wait for the next one!

Loved it!
I just finished this game and I loved it! I used the most difficult level and finished the game with no hints and no game skips. I did use the strategy guide for one of the last games b/c I was stumped! Overall the game was challenging enough, the games fun, and the artwork great. I definitely recommend this game.

Awesome take on Houdini Mystery!
This was absolutely worth the price paid - you get a CE for SE price! The game comes w/an integrated strategy guide, which is always helpful playing a new game!
The hidden object scenes were very challenging, and there were many of them, as well as puzzles. The puzzles were easy to do, at least, I though so. I skipped some of them as I grew a little impatient when I didn't get them the first time, but that is my bad!
This game seemed very long, at a couple of points, I thought I was finished, only to be taken to a new level of the mystery! So, it seemed like it would just go on and on, and each time, had my attention riveted more and more! Work suffered, as I stayed up late a couple of nights to complete, but just couldn't get there.
All in all, a very well constructed HOG, excellent graphics, excellent for keeping you interested, and for once, the ending did not seem just thrown together at the last minute, like so many others do.

puts many CEs to shame
This is a very good game, great length, surprised they didn't sell it as a CE (Thank you developers!) Games are moderately challenging, hidden object scenes are good. What thing gets a little annoying in this series are the conspiracy theories. I picture the game writers as the Lone Gunmen from the X Files, what's next, a HOG on JFKs assassination? Gamers who like HOG should definitely play this one.

another great entry in the midnight mysteries series
Loved it. Graphics are beautiful and the game is fairly long, so you get your money's worth, although it did crash halfway through - the first time this has ever happened to me - and I had to start all over. I found enough clovers to get the unlimited HO mode, so I was happy with that and I only had to skip one of the puzzles, which I was also happy about.
The only minus side was the constant popping up of dialogue from ghosts or your own thoughts from the journal, often five or six in a row. It was frustrating when you just wanted to get on with it, pick up an item etc. Most things could have been said in one go instead of in installments. You have to click each time to get to the next bit of conversation.
I'm still giving this five stars, because it's a great game.
