Grim Tales: The Legacy Collector's Edition
A nice sequel
Referring to Grim Tales: The Bride, that I really enjoyed playing.
This one is not very different. I consider it very entertaining in all aspects, indeed quite a relaxing game to play and take my mind off the unpleasant aspects of day to day life, and I most probably will buy it.

Interesting puzzle game, certainly not short!
The game had well-done graphics and a non-intrusive soundtrack. The mini-animations were a nice touch, without being too distracting in the whole. The story was initially confusing as to what some things had to do with others, but made more sense as the game progressed. My one bother was that some items disappeared after use, while others stayed, and it was often not clear what an item should be used for without the "mashing two items together and hoping it worked" strategy. My other annoyance was that items of the same kind that could have completed the tasks just as well were littered around the area could not be used, and therefore it frustrated me as to why they were in the scene at all. That aside, the different type of puzzles were good, and kept the appeal going, without needing a Hidden Object puzzle for every possible scene, although some of the hidden object items could have been a bit more specific as to what they wanted you to search for. The extra content of the Collectors edition was a nice add-on, and the extra gameplay added depth to the overall story, and rounded out some of the loose ends. The main game ending was not as complete as it could have been, but in the majority, the game was worth the time and money spent on it.

If only the plot was as good as the rest...
Technically and artistically it?s a very good game.
The artwork is accurate and impressive, the scenes with hidden objects are clear enough and they are not all the same, some are in a brighter light, some in a darker ones.
The map is excellent and very useful to move around, since there are things to find all scattered everywhere.
It?s not the best of these developers, but it?s a worthy one in all cases.
The puzzles are various and neither too easy nor not too difficult, the proportion between hidden objects scenes and puzzles is well balanced.
The only really weak point in my opinion is the story, the plot.
Which is not very original?always the already seen so many times werewolves in a gothic manor and a scared lady with a baby who need to be rescued.
The player plays the role of a contemporary woman who goes to visit her sister who is supposed to christen her baby boy.
But when she arrives (the usual car accident, which stop her in front of the gate of a mysterious manor?how much I?d like the developer could find some new ideas to start a game, rather than presenting us always the broken car in front of the mysterious gate to open?) there is nobody there and she starts roaming about, meeting werewolves and trying to help her sister to escape.
The whole story is not catching, it?s confused and a bit boring and the interest of the game is only in its elegant and rich graphic presentation and in the mechanism of searching element and solving quizzes to go over.
Nevertheless I recommend his game for the sumptuous presentation and for the accuracy of all details and the visual beauty of the scenes.

A lot to do
This is a sequel where, once again, you have to help save your sister. The storyline is fairly original and works out well.
There is a lot to do in this game, so in terms of gameplay it is great value for money. In fact, sometimes it feels like there's a little too much to do, so that you're running around all over the place looking for tools in one site to perform an action in another to get something you need for a third location.
However, the game gives you unlimited hints which recharge very quickly and even better than that, a skip button which fills fast so that if you're stuck in a mini-game or just can't be bothered, it will let you skip without penalty and get on with the rest of the plot.
Decent art and music, plenty of hidden objects scenes, and really fast hints and skip buttons make this a recommendation from me.

Hardly no sound
The colors and pictures of everything are great, but only at the beginning do I hear any kind of sound.Going from place to place no sound or music, kind of unusual, most of the games I play have music during most of the game and or sound affects during parts. But this is just me,other might love it just great. Its the playing of the game and what could come ahead that is intriging.

Good Sequel To "The Bride"
It was a good sequel to the original "The Bride", the ending was much better this time around. I also want to note, that was I the only one to notice that the pictures on the notice board in the police station (Bonus Chapter) were scenes taken out of Twilight?

Worth the money
This game is beautiful- and long. I've played quite a few games at this point, and this is one of the longer ones. The graphics are lovely, crisp and clear. I'm not strictly a HOG fan, I really love adventure games with lots of puzzles- this game has it all- lots of HO scenes, lots of mini-games- some quite challenging, others on the easy side. The controls are easy to use, smooth. The storyline is ok- a little silly, but not bad. If you like lengthier games with numerous puzzles- this game is for you.

Difficult and Dark
I had a harder than usual time with the minigames and puzzles. While i usually enjoy games that give me a bit of a challenge, I found myself consistently relying on the skip button out of frustration. Other than that, I enjoyed this rather dark game and story. I would agree with other reviews that it wasn't very linear, and I did rely on the room/ task view function a lot. I am not sure if I would have finished in a timely manner if I had not gotten the CE.

Love this game - really had fun playing it. Enjoyed the HOS and almost felt like the game would never end, kept getting taken through to difference scenario's and scenes! Strategy guide was very helpful although the "hint" button often helped enough to avoid you having to use the SG. Have to say though, getting a bit bored with werewolves now - time to move onto something else?
