Worthy Collector Edition Game This is a really great long fun game. Love the graphics, the mini-games, and especially the live animals. Really glad I purchased as is definitely worth the CE price. Haven't finished it yet as am going back and forth between chores. I think holdover adventure fans will really like this game. March 2, 2012
Thank you Elephant I only plaid the demo but I'm sure I'll buy this game. Beautiful visual as usual with Elephant, good sound,. Not a hard game but very fun to play! Mystery trackers is a beautiful serie. March 7, 2012
another winner This series has previously offered up two excellent games and this third one is just as good IMO. The storyline is a bit more straightforward.. you are looking to rescue a reporter even though at times she makes it clear she does not want to be rescued. Her cameraman also seems to need your help. Like most elephant games, this one is a very good length with lots of inventory objects and many HO scenes.. not one of which is ever repeated. The graphics are amazingly detailed, full of color and realistic. It has a really good assortment of mini games... creating constellations with stars, string puzzles and a kind of cute bee in a maze one, among others. Also the side search for fifty owls. Fun and entertaining..in fact I think this series is as good as any out there. Now for my one and only complaint.. the incessant thunder. Make it stop!! You could not even escape it indoors. Turning down the environment effects did not help much either. Okay so I like the ran effect but too much of anything is too much and I found the thunder grating on my nerves. Other than that I loved this game. Would buy the next one in a heartbeat. Oh and I loved the addition of elf.. the little dog companion. Nice touch. March 6, 2012
Disapppointing I was excited when I saw a new Mystery Trackers game. Have the other 2 and they are excellent. This one however falls short of the mark somehow. Graphics and sound are still excellent but I found some of the games very frustrating. I enjoy a challenge and always play games on expert or hardcore if available and never skip a game. The mini games here are either very easy or just too hard, I mean 45 moves to solve a tile game, give me a break. Had to resort to the strategy guide. Loved the little dog character but just didn't enjoy this game as much as the other 2. If you haven't played the other 2 you would probably enjoy this, it is a good length but wait for the SE. another fun one :) good game, great graphics, (although im not a fan of the "real people" thing, dunno why lol).. loads to do as in mini puzzles and things to fix and find.. anyway, easy easy puzzles and clear unclutterd hogs make it a winner for me :) ...also, im always in favor of "rainy scene" games...very enjoyable March 2, 2012
MET MYSELF COMING AND GOING I played this entire game plus the bonus chapter in the advanced mode. There is a map and the map lets you change locations by clicking on it. The map legend showed icons for blocked areas, current location, and areas that needed action. There were 3 primary areas on the map. Once you left an area, the map no longer accurately showed areas that needed action, even though, throughout the game, you had to retrace you steps back to the earlier locations. This was very disappointing and led to my frustration with the game. By the time I got to the bonus chapter, I was just wishing it would end. Towards the end, the running around was particularly bad. I got so tired of it, that I didn't even try to figure out where to go next. I just hit the hint button and let it tell me. The hint button was excellent, thankfully, and gave a detailed description of where and what the next action should be. The HOS were good; some tougher than others. Same with the mini games; some were easy and some I had to skip. The ability to earn achievement awards was a nice addition. I missed getting all the owls by one, even though I clicked on the last one, but it didn't recognize it. Entirely too much back and forth for me to enjoy the game. December 19, 2012
A great game from Elephant Based on the demo, I love this game! Wonderful graphics and storyline - the cutscenes are just fantastic and very entertaining. I didn't finish the demo because I was looking so carefully for the owls but no matter. I like HOG's but am finding the adventure games to be more to my liking and I didn't encounter too many HOS as far as I got in this game. The ones I did play were very easy. I found the puzzles to be easy as well. Also the sound quality is excellent and I love the sound of rain. I had a mix of emotions playing the game. The rain was soothing and relaxing. Warring with this was the sense of urgency for the quest. Then there was the question of just what was going on with the hooded character and what was up with that earthquake? Also was delight for the surroundings and then the jumps when certain cutscenes suddenly appeared. When I'm feeling all this while demoing a game I know it's a must have so I will be purchasing the CE on payday (which can't come soon enough for me). September 19, 2012
One of the Best I've Played This game, no doubt about it, is one of the best I've ever played. I loved it. Good Parts: Amazing storyline that hooks you instantly. Very realistic, well designed graphics The Hidden Object Scenes were great. They were challenging and included interactive objects. Hint and skip buttons recharged very fast Achievements added extra fun to the game. I had to collect them all! OK Parts: The puzzles. Some were great but others really annoyed me. Bad Parts: A strategy guide was included, but I could only use it in the full version, which realy annoyed me. Overall, I absolutely loved this game. I'll recommend it to anyone and definitely will buy it! July 14, 2012
Excellent game Pretty much everything's been said so far, but I just wanted to add my 2 cents to give this game a good rating and my recommendation. This is a good long, involved game that keeps the storyline going. Also the Bonus chapter in the CE was satisfying and of good length. There are lots of achievements, a cute dog, interactive HOs, thinking "out of the box", rich graphics, not tooo much going back and forth (you have to walk around, this *is* an adventure after all...). I absolutely hope that this bunch makes more games like this! Important: make sure you watch the Bonus video content! June 1, 2012
Black Isle I loved this one. The game play was very long compared to most others, and the puzzles were challenging enough and varied enough to keep it interesting. The graphics are awesome. Adventure/HOG's that are too brushed or faded bother me for some reason, and this one is nice and crisp. I love this type of hidden object -- one that brings you through an adventure and allows you to travel all over the grounds from section to section, needing certain objects in order to do certain things. In general, the gameplay is similar to something like Dire Grove. Very nice! April 14, 2012
