Confusing much?
Uninstalled it after 15 minutes. The story was pretty lame, the graphics ok - I dislike the use of real live actors though. Not for me. Sound/music were ok. I stalled at the first puzzle, I tried to search for the signs but I didn't find them? Therefore I had to use the SG. And it's NOT a good sign when I have to use it this early in the stage of the game. Bleh.

Cute Innovations fail to save Witches' Legacy CE
I am all for "cuteness" as long as there is some "there, there", which in the end Witches' Legacy fails to deliver. "Witches' Legacy, being yet one more foray into the standard fare of cursed children needing rescue.
I am one who appreciates the effort that goes into hand drawn imagery. Thus, I was surprised to find myself unimpressed with rather ho-hum scenes. My fave scene was in the barn, of all places. This was because the cat looked, moved and ACTED like, well a real life cat. The scenery did not get interesting until the bonus game.
Someone please tell these developers to stop playing with their MOOG or any other of their digitizing musical toys. At the very least, all that painstaking work of hand-rendered scene design deserves a professionally produced score. The over dub of faint cries and cackling voices succeeded in taking a over melodramatic score into the realm of the inane.
The voice acting is ordinary with the exception of the Margaret Hamilton-ish Elisabeth. I fully expected her to finish her declarations with "My pretty!"
Witches' Legacy does indeed fully dish up freshly dressed cuteness. Cute child, cute imp, cute kid art and much more. Its too bad that cute cannot sustain interest.
The absolute basic flaw of "Witches' Legacy" is the failure of the developers to identify its intended audience. It is too dark for younger children with its themes of isolation, imprisonment and abandonment. It is not creepy enough to appeal to teens. It is too silly, tedious and predictable for experienced players. . At best, it is a mediocre fairy tale.
I can recommend this game to novice players because its ease of navigation, journal and hint system. It is also suitable for 'tweens. It IS short for a CE.

too many HOS
This wasn't a bad game but a few things disappointed me. The graphics were fine and I really liked the story line. Puzzles were OK, average difficulty. However, there were entirely too many HOS. The only reason I finished was because they were easy enough to get through quickly. There wasn't a map and there was some wandering. The Hint button helped with navigation. My biggest regret was buying the CE. I didn't feel the extras were worth the additional money. I look for collectibles and achievements and it did not have either. It did have a bonus chapter. Don't get me wrong I think it deserves attention (especially if you're a fan of HOS). I enjoyed it overall. Despite my peeves it still got 4 stars.

Like it but..
I played all the game, was good but it lack a map because you will have to go back and forth to the room which was frustrating. the OST was great especially the opening song. The graphics were amazing but I wished they drew the girl and the witch instead of using actors. The voices were realistic though which is good.

GOOD MEMORY EXERCISE
A REALLY GOOD GAME. WE GO BACK TO THE SAME HOS JUST A FEW TIMES, BUT THERE ARE SOOOO MANY HOS THAT AT LEAST ME, I CAN'T REMEMBER WHERE THINGS WERE. I EVEN GOT A WEE BIT LOST, BUT THE SG IS WELL WRITTEN THAT WE REALLY DON'T NEED A MAP TO MOVE THROUGH. I DID FEEL THE BONUS GAME WITH THE CE IS WAY TOO SHORT. I WOULD'VE LIKED TO UNITE LYNN WITH HER PET. LOOKING FORWARD TO A SERIES ALONG THIS LINE.

Witch Chase
It was a long game, not in being confounded with hidden clues & puzzles....but going from one venue to the other to find a clue and then go through many, many more to apply that clue. Up the stairs, down the stairs, outside, inside, up a ladder, through a tunnel. The hidden object games were good, objects really tucked in among the scenery. Had to use hints several times. I wish the little imps had played a bigger role in the story line. I'm glad I used a "freebie" to get this game. Would I recommend this game? Yes, but for beginners only.

Good fun game!
I really liked this game - it was fairly challenging (in Expert mode), had a good storyline, graphics and puzzles.
The Hidden Object scenes were pretty easy, as were the puzzles - but they were different and interesting.
The storyline and graphics kept me happy, with lots to look at and many rooms, places to go. The little Imp made me smile and the voices were realistic and entertaining.
I didn't look at the Strategy Guide once - so I wished that it came in a non-Collector's Edition, as I find that the Guide is usually the only benefit of a Collector's Edition, personally.
Overall, I highly recommend this game as fun, interesting and challenging.
