This one is the best I've played.
I have had a love/hate relationship with all of the Jewel Quests, in fact I almost didn't even download the trial because I was so disenchanted with the series. The things I had against them were, couldn't move another jewel until all jewels had fallen, and I had a terrible time finishing within the time allotted. This new game allows fast matching( can match while other jewels are falling) AND it has a relaxed mode (no time) and a normal and an advanced mode. When I saw these upgrades, I bought immediately! I am enjoying the story, which is very well done imo. And I like the companions that you can pick which have different abilities which go up in .... helpfulness? Anyway, if you've tried other Jewel Quests (other than the Hidden Object types) and found them frustratingly difficult, this is probably the one for you!

Jewel Quest Gem
Another great Jewel Quest Game.
All the favourite boards are there with some new ones (collecting resources etc).
You now have characters to choose from and you get to build up their skill levels.
Definitely one to buy - I bought it straight after the hour trial.
I'm a Jewel Quest lover and this new game didn't disappoint.

On a Match Three Spree
The Jewel Quest series really is the Indiana Jones of the Match Three world and this one is better than ever. Thrilling story, chilling location (literally!) and game play enhanced by choice of avatar: you are in for a real treat. I personally dislike voiced over plot screens but that apart everything about this game lives up to it's well won reputation.

Jewl Quest - The Sapphire Dragon
I have played a few jewel quest games and this one just didn't grab me all that much. But for the young or those that would like something with a story line that seems to pop up after almost each game completion then you will enjoy this game.
You have a few options of play
MODES - Relaxed, no time limits
Normal - Regular time limits
Advance - Reduced time limits
Voice Over's - Yes but mouths don't more
Story Line - For me, way too much, but if you press the skip button and not the arrows you can miss it completely.
Music - quiet and passive
Graphics - Nice colours & clear
Instructions - heaps of them and during game play, they could have remove them totally
For this 1 hr trial, which I didn't finish as it was way too slow for me and too interruptive with instructions & story I deleted it before I finished the trial.
But overall, don't think it's not worth downloading, my taste and opinion is based on what I enjoy and believe interests me. So for you, give it a try on the 1 hr trial first and you decide if it?s your type of game.
I won't give this my ((Raww)) of approval but suggest you try it.

A classic keeps getting better
Jewel Quest has always been fun to play and this is no exception. Great gameplay and not to easy at the later levels.
Also the game is faster now as you can keep playing while the match-stones are falling like in the cradle series.
Very good game , try it !!!

Love Jewel Quests
Jewel Quest The Sapphire Dragon was fun, challenging and kept me on my toes. I especially enjoyed learning about each of the characters as the game went on. Almost wanted to stay with just one until you learned their whole story. I also liked the fact that you were continually changing game boards and styles with each step forward. I really enjoyed this game.

Different match 3.
Always fun to have a twist on match 3. Started trial and then bought it. Need to pay more attention to the story this time.

Was a bit slow.......
We have enjoyed most Jewel Quest games, however this one had too much story line that required clicking to advance, although there was a skip feature. There was too much game instruction that you couldn't turn off. In the 20 minutes we played the game we only moved 8 squares on the map and 3 of those were game tutorials that had to be played to advance. Game instructions also popped up during game play, even though you had already played the tutorial. The graphics, music and voice overs were good and there were achievements to be acquired. You could choose the character you wanted to play. This review is only based on the time we played the trial version. We will not be purchasing, but any game is worth trying.
