wish it was longer
It was a great game... I loved the puzzles different from most HOS and the story line and graphics were great. I really never used the strategy guide.. didnt need it so a bit peeved to have spent the extra money for it however... the game was really short I mean I finished in like 2 hours and was disapointed in that. I was glad the CE had extra chapters and they built upon the story but really I thought the game should have lasted longer becuase I loved the bit I had.

Very Satisfying and Fun Game!
The CE version of the game is a wonderful treat to play and own! I really enjoyed the plot and completing all of the puzzles! Trying to reach the outside after being trapped several floors underground made for a very interesting and FUN game to play!
I want to say thank you very much for making many of the puzzles available at the end of the game. I particularly enjoyed the sequence puzzles during the main game and figuring which buttons to play in order to complete the scene. The graphics were superb! Finding a number of certain objects was a refreshing change.
The plot was interesting and I was quite satisfied with the ending! I especially liked the bonus! I'm very eager to play another game from this developer!!

The game is entirely to short to be a Collector's Edition!! Finished it in a little over 2 hours. Disappointing!

House of brass collector edition
I find this an unusual game enjoyable but at the same time annoying, the Hidden object area's different, as you are looking for items either of a shape or sharp or something like that, not sure about this. I did not try prior tp purchase and I wish I had the voice that keeps coming in once a puzzle is solved is frustrating to me, but having said that it is a different game than what I usually buy, I have to admit prefer a Mansion to search , so this if different for me. The graphics are good the hidden objects ok to find, bit grainy inplaces.
But it is an interesting game and will give pleasure to other gamers.

Amazing Game !
I've only played the demo and love this game.
I like the "mechanical" aspect of the game, lot of things to repair and build. The hidden objects games are original, you have to find objects of the same theme (2+2 kind objects for instance...)
The graphics are clear and wonderful. Lot of robots in this game and a very good storyline
That's why I give 5 stars to this game
It's so brilliant.

Keeps you Entertained
I love this game! It is hidden object but with a twist, it's not the same old same old find the items listed type game. You have to find 12 concave items for example, it was just a fun and refreshing game if you are tired of the same hidden object games. T he story line was a bit expected but cute anyways. It does not have the most challenging mini games but if you are a casual player like me you will enjoy it.

This game IS a fantastic creation
What a beautiful game!
This game (slightly reminiscent of the classic Syberia epics) is a thing of beauty. The puzzles aren't the hardest and the (small number of) HOS attempt to be slightly different by seeking objects by theme.
If there is a minor irritation it's in the ?Cogglethorpe? voice-over instructions for the minigames.
The graphics are rich and clear and the gameplay is flawless. The result is a relaxed and enjoyable gaming experience.

A game that makes time fly by
This is a very good game. Good graphics, good storyline and good and different hidden object scenes. My only "complain" is that the game is a bit to easy and you only get about 2-3 hour of entertainment. And when the game is one of those that makes time fly by, it isn't quite enough even when you take the extra material in to account.
So to sum up: A game worth you time, and that leaves you wanting more.

A failed mix of Myst and Syberia
This game had a lot of potential but missed a lot of key points. I will start will the pros.
1. Graphics is stunning
2. Sound FX is very impressive
But to quality for a real HO hit there has to be something else in the equation. First of all it is a story line. This game does not have any. It is very linear and simple. The second aspect of a hit game is mini puzzles. Mini puzzles in this game either did not make any sense (try and error approach) or were super simple. Mini puzzles are repeating. It was truly annoying. Third, the environment should be really big. Well, not here. Three floors with 8 rooms. Finally, there has to be a very good ending. Not here. The ending was not that impressive. Just c+. In addition it was very painful to zoom to objects that you cannot interact with. You get a magnifying glass but then you just get a plain text. Oh it is a picture or it is a crystal. Thank you for letting me know.
Try Mystery Trackers - Black Isle ? this will be a #1 hit for 2012.
Please evolve. I know you can take your gameplay engine to the next level.

A different kind of game
This was beautifully done but some won't like that there are no options for easy, hard, etc. Many puzzles and I had to skip a couple of them, but was able to do most without any problems. Voice overs which I prefer, sparkles for the hidden objects and things to do which I don't mind. Not sure yet if I will purchase as a CE. Will wait for more reviews from the more knowlegable fishes.
