A BEST BUY What an intriguing game. I bought both part 1 and 2 several years ago and just recently played them again. It's easy to get so caught up in the scenery, characters and plot that you forget the time. What a train ride!!! And who can't love Oscar? Syberia and Return To Mysterious Island 1&2 are what made me want to sign up with Big Fish. February 28, 2012
Excellent Classic Adventure Game Like many others, I bought this years ago when it was first released. I still have the disc and it's one of the first of the oldies but goodies that gets reinstalled whenever a new machine is purchased. The story is original and compelling, the puzzles are intricate and at times exceedingly difficult, and the graphics (for the time it was released) were amazing, There is a lot of walking about which can get annoying now but there is a 'run' feature that allows the character to move faster. The puzzles often seem to make little sense until you reach that AH-HAH! moment which moves you forward and the in game hints, what few there are, can sometimes provide little help. When I bought the game, I finished it without a walkthrough but it took me *months* to finish. In playing through it again a year or two later, it still took me forever to finish even using the walkthrough. This isn't a quick game but it's worth every moment you put into it. February 28, 2012
An Oldie but Still THE BEST Adventure Game of All Time Ahh~the music from the trailer brought back fond memories... This game is long, involved, complex, enthralling, complicated, and just plain AMAZING. Benoit Sokal, the genius behind Syberia, has created a world that will capture your imagination and spirit you in an adventure like no other. Kate, the heroine, and Oscar, her guide, are wonderful characters that I would love to have met in real life. Everything, I mean, everything about this game is top notch. Music is divine, characters are mufti-dimensional, and the graphics-oh my the graphics-it will take your breath away. Now, LFA (large file adventure) games are not for everyone. It takes time and commitment to play this game. There are places to visit, people to interact, and many tasks to complete. Some puzzles are downright devious and head-scratching. I could not have possible gotten through the game without a walkthrough, which many are available online (just google "Syberia walkthough"). Walkthoughs are not a cop out. Think of it as your friend, your assistant, your guide. Walkthroughs are as useful and helpful as you want it to be. Don't miss out on this. As you may have read, once you play this game, you will never forget Kate Walker, Oscar, and their adventure in "Syberia." PS: Thanks for the head-up about Syberia, part 3. I will definitely be waiting for that sequel. February 28, 2012
One of the Best Games Ever!!!! I played this years ago, and part II as well. There was suppose to be a part three, but I believe the company was bought out and part three never happened. This is not a quick game you will finish in a day or two, but trust me once you start it's hard to stop. You will do a lot of walking and sometimes it can get a little frustrating to figure out what to do next, but stick with it, it is well worth it. Even my kids played this one!! Wish they would make more games like this one. A must play! February 28, 2012
Oh, how I wish... ...I'd never seen this game before - then I'd have this incredible experience ahead of me. But, alas, I've played it many times. I only say this - if another game like this (or the Myst Saga. They play in the same league.) came along I'd be willing to pay the regular BF-game price, times ten! It really is that good! If you immerse yourself in the world of this game, you'll never forget it and you'll find yourself sometimes daydreaming of the places and the people. I congratulate all of you who by this game, you will have a great time. February 29, 2012
Fantastic game. I purchased this game several years ago after I saw friend playing the game and I was awed at the stunning visual effects in this game. Way ahead of it's time for the splendid screens. I highly recommend purchasing this game. I wish they made a lot more like it. February 28, 2012
Excellent game ! one of my Favorites! I love this game and have played it many times I love the characters Oscar and Kate.I love The fact you do not stay in one area you travel via train to different places to find out the whole story .The story line is so good my kids and I often talk about this game .The second one is great too! if there is a 3 one out i will be getting that one too! there is nothing i do not like about this game it is brilliantly done even the music takes me far away to the land of Syberia..The puzzles are not different from the story line but they are a part of it .I love the Atomitans and the way the towns are just amazing ! Best game ever This is my favorite game. I played I and II and can't wait for III to come out. I think it's coming 2014. It is not an easy game and walkthrough was my best friend (there is only so many times you can hear Kate?s ?it?s sssstuck!!?). I got really into the story and characters. Beautiful artwork. Very long game. An absolute treat. It is a large file and it took me a long time to load. Also make sure you save the game often or you might end up loosing your spot and you have to start from the beginning. February 28, 2012
Oldie but a Goodie OMG this game is so old! I loved it when I originally bought it on disk. It has great graphics and story line. Game play can be a little tedious at times. It's a good classic. February 28, 2012
Unbelievably awesome This game is the best i've ever played. I absolutely totally enjoyed the challenge. I wished more games were like this. It is a must play for both Syberia's. I recommend this game. February 28, 2012
