Out There Story but Fun Game
I played the first two in this series; liked the first, didn't so much like the second, but really enjoyed the third. It had more of the creepy factor of the first game, like something will jump out at you at any given moment.
The family tree can get confusing, so thank goodness there's a puzzle laying it out for you. The story is kinda weird, bringing souls back from the dead, crazy experiments, etc, but the game is still a lot of fun to play.
Graphics: Really nice and clear. I didn't struggle with any of the HO scenes.
Music: I really liked it. Added the right ambiance and I enjoyed listening to it during game play.
Options: There are 3 levels of play and I chose the moderate one, not knowing what to expect and just in case I wanted to skip some puzzles.
Challenge: Most of the puzzles and HO scenes are not overly challenging. I used the hint button 3 or 4 times during the entire game for the HO scenes. I do admit to skipping a couple of the puzzles, the blood vial one and another one, just because I didn't want to take the tedious time to figure them out; I wanted to get on with the game.
Length: A pretty long game. Quite a few hours. Worth the money for sure.
Play Again: Yes, definitely. And I'll probably take the time to solve those two puzzles I originally skipped.
Cons: The ending. It's all wrapped up pretty quick but I wasn't a fan of the detective giving a "free pass" to the lovers. He must be from Florida.
Overall Grade: A-

Fun Hidden Object Game
One of the best games I have played, great story line. I was a little slow on the puzzles but they were challenging, Holding on to objects was a little long before you used them but that was ok

Worth it!
Nicely balanced game. Not too much talking, helpful map, sensible HO. Didn't need to use help much at all, though resorted to walkthrough a couple of times.
Nice and long, so worth it for me :)

Enjoyable game
The graphics and storyline in this game are very good - The puzzles are very entertaining. There are as usual far too many Hidden object scenes, which I find boring and feel they detract from the game itself - but it is difficult to find a decent adventure game without them. - Overall this is a great game and I would recommend it to my friends.

Disappointing....
This review is based on the demo only. I have played NM Black Heart and Curse Of the O. and the games are really ok. But this game: No hints explanation, no fantastic storyline, just an average game. The sound - I have never heard such a boring sound. No game for beginners. I was very disappointed.

Decent Addition to Series
Just to clarify, this is the third game in the series even though storyline-wise it is the direct sequel to "Curse of the Opera" (the first game). If you want to play them in chronological order, play "Asylum Conspiracy" first then "Opera" then this one. However, I don't suggest doing it that way because if you play "Asylum" first, you will ruin the awesomeness that is "Opera" and spoil the surprises. So I suggest playing them in order that they were released: "Opera", "Asylum", "Black Heart".
"Curse of the Opera" is one of my favorite games ever on this site and was glad to see a direct sequel had come out. I didn't really care for "Asylum Conspiracy" since a lot of details just didn't add up to the way they were in "Opera". "Black Heart" doesn't worry about going back in the past though, it focuses on finishing up the storyline and that's how it should be. I liked that they brought some characters back and tied them into this game. The finale was pretty lame though if you ask me. There wasn't even a final puzzle, you just literally click something to put in your inventory and then place it somewhere else and then that's it, you get the final cut scene and it's game over. Could have been waaaay more exciting.
Anyway, the puzzles are relatively easy and there are thankfully not an overload of HOG's, you only revisit a few scenes maybe twice and they are spaced out pretty well. The journal contains your basic clues/storyline observations, and the audiotapes section like from "Asylum", and also a very handy map that lets you know when something of interest needs to be investigated in other rooms.
Overall, not a bad game, but seeing as how it's possibly the last game in the series I would have preferred to see it go out with more of a bang. The scenario we get as been done repeatedly (someone gets kidnapped, you have to save them, blah blah). But it's still not bad, if you like this series and want to know what happens to these people then check it out!

Enjoyable fun game!
I especially liked the fact that the hidden object scenes were not all dark, so that you have to strain your eyes, like in a lot of games,
I also like games where you are part of the story. I really had a good time playing this and their other game!
Please keep 'em coming!
