Entertaining as usual.
As most know ERS has a history of beautiful graphics and reasonably good stories. They also tend to follow the same ideas over and over again as to junk pile H0 scenes and abrupt endings. This rings true on all points.
The Werewolf family saga continues from their previous offering with just a few tweeks to the story line to maintain continuity. It has just enough to hold your interest and connect the scenes.
The graphics as usual with this dev team are well drawn with a slightly washed out appearance in some scenes that fits the story. Others are vivid and colorful.
The H0s are plentiful with the usual ERS interaction with two or more on the list. Some of the interaction was imaginatively done. Most have the junk pile feel though you won't find out of time articles. No cell phones here. You also will revisit most H0 scenes twice. No scene memory here. Everything previously removed/opened/torn, etc. is back.
The mini games vary from inanely simple (most) to moderately challenging (a few). On the up side many are quite inventive. All are colorful and attractive to look at.
The voice overs are well done.
The length both in main game and extra chapter are average for a CE.
Always a plus is the 3 level difficulty option which I have found with ERS works fine as the games for me are much more enjoyable without the handholding. Though I must say even in the challenge mode the dreaded sparkles appeared.
Also remember your tennis shoes. At points you will be backtracking but only within the specific chapter area.
I never had to use the SC so I cannot comment on it's usefulness.
I do have to say that as in quite a few ERS games the story ended so abruptly that I did a double take. This often has the effect of making me feel in some of their CEs that the extra chapter was actually the wrap up. The abruptness didn't make the game feel any shorter just created a kind of "What just happened?" moment.
On the whole an afternoon spent entertained.
Happy Gaming!

ERS Does It Again !
What a awesome game the graphics are simply gorgeous, the game play is great, the puzzles are great there is nothing bad I can say about this game but then again it's done by ERS games which is my all time favorite developer and with every game they do they just get better and better. The voice over's are done really nice the music is very fitting along with the ambient sound effects in the game. All the hidden scenes are very fitting for the time period that the game is set in. Of course as with all ERS games this one is very creepy but very beautiful with vibrant beautiful colors lot's of interaction with the hidden scenes and also within the game itself lots to do lots to find and every location is gorgeous and it has plenty of twist and turns and it's very well spread out. A Wonderful storyline that pulls you in from the get go. When it comes to delivering a awesome story with gorgeous graphics and awesome game play you just can't get any better than this game or this ERS. It's well worth every penny. Thank you ERS and Big Fish and keep them coming ERS you ROCK !

Great game!
This is the second game in the Shadow Wolf Mysteries series and it's just as good as the first!
The options include Full Screen, Custom Cursor and Wide Screen. I'm glad the widescreen option worked for me. Many do not unless I change my screen resolution and I am forced to play in Window Mode, which I do not like, because playing on full screen cuts out a but of the bottom of the screen. The music is very good as are the sound effects and you can adjust those in the options section as well.
The Help section tells you about the game, and the More Info section gives you the Credits, Forums and Strategy Guide. The Extras section includes Music, Concept Art, Wallpapers, Screensavers and the Bonus game, all unlocked when you complete the game. The bonus game, I can understand, but I don't see the problem with unlocking the other items after purchasing.
Play mode gives you three options: Regular mode which has faster hints and sparkles. Expert mode which has slower hints and no sparkles and hard mode which has even slower hints, no sparkles and black bar tips are disabled.
Now for the game. It's beautiful. As always with ERS. They never fail to create gorgeous games! The voiceovers are well done, the music is very good. The storyline is great (I love wolves!). The hidden object scenes are well down, and the objects are not too hard but not to easy which I love. I rarely have to use a hint.
The hint button is quick to recharge (in regular mode, which is what I am playing) but I do think the skip button takes longer than it should.
The puzzles take some thinking but nothing too hard. I'm horrible with puzzles and, admittedly, skip a lot of them, but I played most of these which is a good thing-for me anyway.
Since it's ERS I purchased right away, but I encourage you to play the trial and see for yourself.

Lots of HOS!
Don't do this often so please bear with me. Just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It could be on the simple side for some but I was ready for some good ole' hidden objects with less wandering around. I thought the length was good in the actual game and in the bonus section. For some, it won't be worth the CE price and I almost decided to wait but I just really wanted to continue the game. It was getting mixed reviews in the forums but I just wanted to share that I thought it was great.

The Wolf is back at last
Oh how I have been waiting for this game! I love love those games. It is like coming home: everything you love in one place; wonderful graphics, cool storyline, again on a path of investigation. Loved the first game and this one too so far - didn't need long into the trial to know I would be getting it! It does not disappoint - even though I selected the hard level of difficulty the puzzles were fairly easy. In some not sure the 'skip' button eventually came on however I didn't need it. I very much enjoy the story it is fast pace you get to move from place to the other different surroundings/different tasks- the young wolf oh so cute :-) If I had to make one little constructive comment would be the music and sounds that are pretty much the same as other games in the same line however it is a very tiny comment. I would defintely recommend this one to everyone who loved the first one!!!

Shadow Wolf Mysteries: Bane of the Family (CE)
So enjoyed the Free Trial - Looks like a Super Game!
HOS - Clear, light and easy to find, except the type font they used within the HOS list, I was wondering what a Bammer was and it got me scratching, then I worked it out, was Hammer not Bammer!
Graphics ? Beautiful great colours and not grainy
Mini Puzzle ? Very enjoyable not overly challenging
Sparkles - Yes
Sound Effects ? Love them!
Music - Is good & well balanced throught play & not distracting
Hints ? Take about 1 min to re-activate
Clicking ? A penalty for too much fast clicking so take it steady and you will get away with it.
Voice Overs ? Great to see the V/O?ers brought into this game and mouths do move!
Skip ? This takes around 5 min to re-charge which is a shame I prefer them to be readily available.
My thoughts at this stage ? Yes a must buy on my hit list, I can?t leave without at least firing that cannon and I need to shoo more of those wolfs (that was pretty cool)
For the free trial - I give this the (((((Rawww)))) of approval for purchasing!

WOW!! I LOVE this game!!
I have been waiting for this sequel, as I absolutely LOVED the first Shadow Wolf Mysteries!! I don't usually buy CE games, but I did with the first! I actually have a wallpaper on my computer from it, and have had it on there since purchasing the first!! I have no doubt after demoing this CE, that I will be buying it as well!!
The graphics and scenes are absolutely beautiful!! The cut scenes can be a tiny bit blurry, but the artwork is amazing! Though, in the beginning, the voice overs were faster than the character's lips moving, it seemed to get better as the game went on. The voice overs are very well done!! The music is unobtrusive, and very well done also! Game play is smooth, for the most part, only a few seconds of loading black screen for very few scene transitions! The story line is captivating from the start!!
This game is quite easy in regular mode, including the puzzles, which I really like! The hints and SG are very helpful, even with the puzzles! I didn't need the SG, just went into it to check it out. The HO scenes are interactive, and a bit on the grey side in some areas, however the HO themselves are clear, distinguishable, and not too small. I did not finish the entire demo in the 1 hour trial, so I think this game is going to be quite long. Usually I finish demos with time to spare. There is lots to do, and explore!
There are 3 difficulty modes, so this game can be for everyone!! I highly recommend it!!
