No Imagination! No Intrigue! No Mystery! Lots of reviews usually indicate a popular, maybe intriguing game! In my humble opinion and based on the demo, this game did not "grab me" either and bordered on---awful. The storyline quickly unfolded as boring, redundant and lacked any originality. The HO's and Puzzles were, mercifully, simple. The game may have had promise and possibly is the best example of restrained talent . Sad when Developers deliver a "cookie cutter" game rather than be at liberty to express their own originality, creativity and imagination. BFG is not to blame as it seems gamers don't even know what they like or want as reviews are inconsistent. Imagine my surprise upon reading "rave" reviews as I have read many poor reviews for other games based on the same features exhibited in this one--such as too much reading rather than voice overs to name one example. Startling to me, "Clair" looked like a cut-out doll and would jump out onto the entire screen so we could read her ridiculous "help me, save me" messages or whatever. I, for one, was relieved when she was finally and predictably kidnapped away by the"bad guy". I so tire of the helpless damsel in distress Syndrome! Give me a brave, methodical fighting gal or a super sleuth anytime! Of course, being neither a Game Developer nor an Artist myself, I appreciate the hard work dedicated into creating any game. The final consensus, to me, is that this game ended going into a totally different direction than what the Artists and Developers originally had in mind! Mama Mia March 12, 2012
Horrible I seem to be in the minority about this game. It's not at all interesting. There are sparkles EVERYWHERE even when you don't need to do anything to an object anymore. There are so many things and places you have to go to that when you finally get something you can use, it's hard to remember where it goes. There is a map but it only tells you where you are. Not if there is anything completed in that area nor does it allow you to click on it to take you there. I am about half way through it, and I am just going to delete it. So uninteresting. May 1, 2012
NEVER buy based on other reviews!! I bought this game after reading the rave reviews... dumb dumb dumb... i play a lot of games, and i do not call myself an expert but it seems a lot of other people have no problem seeing themselves this way....this game is one big yawn....poorly laid out, no continuity, and you could let a small child play, since they tell you what you need to find to solve the little puzzle...paper doll characters with the same mentality ...what a horrid waste of my money....this has been a sad learning experience November 17, 2012
Only 1st hour only 1st hour of this game is exciteing rest it such a dull boring game not like enchanted paintings thats the no1 game ever July 5, 2012
Yet another tedious game Dear gawd, not another tedious, time-consuming, unimaginative game by BF. Hasn't everyone noticed by now that all of these HO games are the same? Oh gosh!!! I have to enter a room to save someone, but there's NO KEY!!Lawdy, what do I do now? I'll bet I'll have to search to find a key, maybe in one of these rooms....BUT WAIT...I can't get out!!!! OH DRAT, what is I goin' to do now? I'll bet if I trace my steps, I'll find other doors, ALL LOCKED, or I'll have to go outside and find a gate, WITH NO KEY OR CHAINED UP!!!! Golly, golly, what am I suppose to do now? I guess I have to find a little bit here, a little bit there, and maybe, if I be lucky, half an hour later, I'll find a key, and Glory days!!!! I think the makers of these games need to stop sharing recipies...we are tired of the same old meal month after month. JEEZ. March 9, 2012
Disappointing ordered this based on other reviews. wrong decision on my part, should have sampled first. graphics, storyline too cartoonish. games not challenging. March 9, 2012
One more disapointment This game almost falls down just after the first hour! There are no interactive objects in HOS in all the game except the demo. The storyline is boring and I hate that poping up chracters! March 17, 2012
