The Agency of Anomalies Scores Again!
This game had it all for me, a great story, beautifully drawn graphics, terrific voice acting and entertaining gameplay. Despite a wildly inventive plot, this game made complete sense to me. The hidden object scenes contained items appropriate to the story and had clever extras. Inventory items were used in logical places. Puzzles rewarded me with useful tools. Cut scenes revealed clues and enhanced the story. I got lost a few times but with a bit of thinking I was able to recover and move on without a walkthrough. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

oh for a transporter map
This started out well but soon became slightly tedious with all the back and forth, repeating (more than twice) hidden object scenes and the usual storyline, especially the end.
The pace of the game was off, sometimes you were in adventure mode not seeing a hidden object or a puzzle then suddenly it was one after another. Also I was too long in one area at one stage before other new areas opened up.
There ended up being far too many hidden object scenes for my taste, with tiny objects, random click penalty both of which annoys me. Even the puzzles although nicely varied in hardness I didn?t love ? either the execution of it was off (manually dragging the ball through the labyrinth) or the type. I played in the hardest setting of two, and there were mega sparkles for hidden object scenes and black bar tips (hand holding).
THE GOOD -
-Graphics were lovely and clear and they did have my rare favourite kind of hidden object scene ? the reversed kind in a non junk pile setting. But sadly they turned out to be very few in the game.
-Quite a few hidden scenes weren?t junk pile and were nice to look at but when you replay them they become sadly tedious.
-They tried to make the game different with collecting different abilities that you use on some items.
- I did feel the end was 100% tied up and that was nice to see for a change in a SE.
If they had a transporter map to cut back all the backtracking ( just to see if I had to replay a hidden object scene for the third time), it would have made it more enjoyable. It?s a shame as with some tweaking it could have been a very good game.
LENGTH was normal for me for a SE 5-6hrs, but by then I couldn?t wait till it was over.
(I'm not going to not recommend it, as for a coupon or a DD and you don't mind backtracking it's OK but I preferred the first game in the series.)

One Of The Best
This is one of the best games I've played in a while. Everything is top-notch. Graphics are really good. Everything runs slickly and smoothly.
The story is simple yet interesting. I loved learning about the individual children and having the tasks and games focus on one child at a time.
There is a lot of ground to cover, but I didn't get lost. As you finish each child's story, you move on to new scenes and tasks.
(You also get a supernatural ability from each child, which you can use as the game progresses.)
I skipped a few of the mini-games, but most are fun. Some take a little getting used to, but once you do, they are enjoyable.
The Hidden Objects Scenes were mostly traditional, but some were the kind where you place items back into a scene. I love those.
My only complaint would be that the ending wasn't great. It didn't tie into the storyline quite enough, for my taste.
But that's a minor quibble. Try this for yourself. You will love it!

The same old same old
I didn't even make it through the trial for this game. It's the same old thing? a fire, an orphanage, save the kids, etc. There is too much hand-holding; I don't want to be told what to do and when to do it. The HO scenes are junkpile, the graphics are OK.
I was just not thrilled at all with the story line and did not like the lack of a challenge and adventure. This game would be good for someone who has never played a hidden object adventure game, but it's not for someone who already knows the basics of this genre.

Definitely worth checking out
I really enjoyed this for the most part. The graphics are excellent, and much of the gameplay style and difficulty reminded me greatly of the "Echoes of the Past" series of games, which are among my favorites here at BFG.
One thing I particularly enjoy is the 'reverse' hidden object games. After collecting your usual oddities from one scene, you are then called upon to put the objects in their correct places in another scene. This makes the hidden object puzzles actually somewhat relevant - like you're cleaning up the place. The minigames are fun and interesting and really do require some thought.
The story is good for the most part, but I have to take off points for the ending. I like a twist as much as anyone, but this story's twist ending doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and isn't explained particularly well. I would have appreciated an extra minute or two spent clarifying just what exactly happened at the end.
On the whole, a worthwhile game and one I recommend.

Good and easy
One of the better voice overs and graphics is great. HOG are pretty easy and the puzzles are not hard either. Different HO screens which makes it different. Fast hint button if you need it. Good game.

Good but not Great
I enjoyed the first installment of "The Agency of Anomalies" and was pleased to see another. While it was ok, this chapter was a bit of a let down. Don't get me wrong, I recommend it, just don't expect too much fromf it. It is a nice mix of HO scenes (HOS have enough challenge to be interesting) and puzzles. But the puzzles are pretty much the same old tired tile, connect the cogs and rotate the rings that you see in EVERY one of these games. I'm hoping the creative people at various game design companies can come with something different there. The music is at least not annoying but is kind of dull and the graphics are nice, but nothing to knock your socks off. I continue to miss the live actors that you see in an MCF episode, at least in the cut scenes. I know they must add to the expense of game development, but they add a lot to the game experience. The game seems to be short and ends abruptly. Oh, and as for the ending..the last plot twist is so old and over done, felt like a real yawner. One last concern that I'd level at most games like this. There are a few puzzles that require using color. Now look folks, I know I'm in the minority here, but there is a certain percentage of the population that, like me, are color blind. That means when a color based puzzle comes up, I head for the "skip" button. I wish game designers would come up with another way to do that kind of puzzle, like shape based or something. So go ahead and the try the game, just don't look for a great experience. You may like it, but I don't think you'll love it.

Excellent Hidden Object Game!
I especially loved the two methods the HOS are played. The first is just like any HOS, but the other method is where you get several objects and have to place them in the appropriate place on the screen. Not so easy as there are some objects you need to place before any other. Very challenging indeed.

The best HOG story game ever!
I already submitted a review for the best HOG game, but this one... This one beats all others.
This game has a demo mode- It took me 55 minutes to play the demo. Afterwards I checked how much further the game is (on the walkthrough) and realized that there is a lot more left!
This game not only is a hidden object, but it is also the kind that requires you to complete an item (during the sparkles), use the items around the "set", go back and forth between sets as you gather more items, and this game has one special other feature in the sparkles. I am not going to tell you what that feature it- but I have seen it in other games but never in this way.
Often the HOG games use words that are not common in the USA or words that do not match up with the item. This game had none of that!
The mini games were challenging but not insanely challenging. I skipped 2 mini games- I was getting upset with them. The mini games were not repetitive either.
I tend to keep the music very low and the effects low. I also played this game in the harder mode. I am not sure if the differences in modes is the refill length or sparkle hints, but I found in the hard mode, the help refilled quickly. The mini game skip also filled quickly.
The only complaints I can think of is that there was A LOT of story. Thankfully there was a skip button for the story. I would have freaked otherwise.
I am going so far as to say it is worth full full price! This game has all of the awesome elements I crave in a HOG.

Nice game, but not perfect
The storyline is really interesting. There are 2 game modes.
- The graphics are beautiful. The HOS are clear.
- The puzzles are quite easy; I found only one challenging.
- You get abilities when you help the orphans.
- The hint system is like "nothing to do here".
- I really missed a map. There is lot of to and fro, and I got frustrated having to walk all the time.
- The game is quite long, nearly 4 hours without skipping anything.
With a map, I would have given 5 stars.
