Fun with a weakness I found it to be a very nice game. However, I do agree with those of you who mentioned the lack of lightness. I realize the developers are establishing a particular atmosphere:: but, I believe the eye and brain need some variation. Hopefully they will take our comments into consideration. Yes, I believe I will purchase this one.It has so many positives. I do recommend this game Sandra October 18, 2012
Stoooooopid! Lame voiceovers. Tiring HOS. It was promising but in the end was a total waste of time. July 6, 2012
Good Game Great graphics. Not enough interesting puzzles, but then again Ravenhearst is the most creative for that genre. The story was ok. Lots of places to go, a fairly easy game, went through pretty fast. I like the more creative games added to this type like collecting things... more new places to go in a linear direction the better. Not crazy about too much backtracking and this game wasn't too bad on that. The bonus game play was a bit lame, pretty much the same places you already visited with a couple rooms thrown in and relatively short. I'd say skip the CE and buy the SE, but I do recommend the game just not CE version. June 2, 2012
Loved it! If like me, you like your hidden object games done in the traditional way, enjoy good graphics and a half decent story line, I think you will like this game very much. There aren't many HOGs that I want to buy even before my free trial is up, but this was one of them, and I was not disappointed. If I had a criticism it is that the game has you running around to too many locations at once, which is OK until you take a break and then you cannot remember exactly where you were at when you left, but this is overcome by a really good hints system which will get you out of trouble in no time at all. None of the HOS or puzzles is too challenging, but the option to skip is there if it all gets too much for you. No surprises, just a solid, fun to play hidden object game. I thoroughly reoommend it! A Good Starting Point For Someone New To HOGS This game has a ?challenge? mode and I suspect that this game is more difficult on that setting, however, I?m relatively new to HOGs; I played this game using casual mode. There are nine chapters to this game plus a bonus chapter on the CE. I thought that the storyline was a bit weak and didn?t quite flow in the CE, but that?s pretty much irrelevant insofar as gameplay is concerned. Bonus content on the CE opens up after completing the main game. There were a reasonable number of HOS, but they weren?t overdone. There wasn?t much running around in this game ? I never felt overwhelmed insofar completing the various tasks were concerned. The hint button can be used in game or in the HOS, and recharges in a relatively short time span. There were some puzzles; I?m not very good at them and so if I couldn?t figure it out within a few minutes, I just skipped over them. I only had to use the strategy guide two or three times because a missed a few steps and/or objects along the way. The graphics in the game were decent enough, but wouldn?t win the Rembrandt trophy of the month. Overall, I think that this would be good game for folks that are just delving into HOGs for the first time ? it?s a good starting point, and a beginner won?t feel completely lost as the game progresses. Not one of the better ones I think that I am a pretty good gamer of Big Fish and I have played a lot of games, this one not that good. I really don't like to give poor reviews but once in a while you have to get down and do it. This game was not to fun, not diffacult at all and the story is boring, even when I got to the Extra play I hoped it would speed up and give some really last minute greatness. But it never came. I bought this only because of the special on Sunday and I needed one more game to go along for the special and now I wish I had of just let that one go by. So my oponion is that this is OK for beginners but anyone with a bit of experience I don't recommend this , SORRY and I am talking about the Collectors version which is not that much more or less than the reg game. Fun I enjoyed this game. Same as other hos, not piled up junk tho. Had nice storyline, graphics was good, hints came back fast. Looking forward to the sequel since story ended like it would have one. March 28, 2012
I liked it This game was fun but i my opinion a bit too many HOS and not enough mini games. The mini games were not very mind challenging. The story was interesting. The music was ok except for the out of tune piano music, that was a bit annoying. All in all it was a fun game March 24, 2012
