I would say it was very similar in game play to other HOPAs, and probably more about the story than the mechanics. Personally, while hunting for H0s and inventory items, I would much rather be concentrating on artwork other than the gritty if realistic art style of this game. No question it fit the subject, so I can't really fault it or let it influence this review.
The story itself and the tasks required, I think, would appeal more to guys. It seems interesting then, that as is so often the case, the hero in this story is female. (Off hand I can only think of two male leads, the detective in the Dark Tales series and the reporter in the Dorian Gray game. And Mortlake Mansion, where you can play as a male or female.)
Of course the story has some far fetched aspects, but it isn't totally outside the realm of a modern day disaster. No ghosts or aliens or time travel -- this story is happening to real people. There are a couple jump out of your seat moments, and a not too unexpected, but still curious, ending. In between you will do a bit of going back and forth, tasks that are mostly easy to decipher, many H0 scenes, and several puzzles of varying degrees of annoyance -- er, difficulty.
There is a task list you do not have to access, but which will lead you by the hand in graduated help steps -- really very well done for anyone who wants to play this game without much guidance. There are also casual and advanced (no hot spot sparkels) modes.
This SE was on the shorter side, but IMHO just long enough. I enjoyed the puzzles and I wasn't hoping the end was near before I finished. (3.5 stars across the board)

An average game
Though the graphics for the environment and objects are bright, the persons are designed in an old way. The structure is divided in big separate chapters, and I don't love it because I like going backward and forward. The HOS are quite well done but they are sparkled even in advanced mode. There are no hidden ojects or achievements.
So, I think I've played many better games.

I KNOW I would've enjoyed, buuut. . .
. . .deleted within the first 1/2 hour. It pretty much has the same storyline and usual 'bells & whistles' of other Hidden Object games, however, I don't care for solving combination puzzles without a previous clue offered. I got stuck at the storage room where you had to figure out the combination to open the door to a hidden object scene. Having to choose a 3-digit number between 000 and 999 - even with green 'up' and 'down' arrows to indicate if you're too high or low and 10 tries to get it right - was of no help, and there's no 'skip' button. I tried several reasonable combinations to narrow down/pinpoint if I were at least within the 'range' of the right answer, yet the arrows would still indicate I was either too high or low. Since you're required to do the puzzle to move forward, I found it unnecessarily frustrating and too long to have to spend on it, so I deleted. Otherwise, it's a great SE game that's just up my ally. Maybe I'll download again, give it another try with the other 1/2 hour and bump up my rating. Although this is my sole reason for a mediocre score, I still recommend!!

The game play and story was good and I enjoyed playing the game, but it was way too short! I finished within about 2 hours. Luckily I used one of my free game credits to buy this, otherwise I think I'd be pretty annoyed.
Graphics are ok, bit cartoony for my liking. The general puzzle solving and H0 scenes were good though, some challanging, some not so challanging. Overall, not bad, but I wouldn't put it down as one of my favourites.

So, So Game
The same old, same old. Car crash, wake up from coma in hospital, escape, etc., etc, etc. I didn't find this game that intriguing. Graphics were pretty good. Don't like the going back forth. There are no voice overs, just reading text. Could have been a better game if thought out more. Not a game for me. Others might like it, try it for yourself.

Not so terrifying
I did not play the whole demo as I found it dragging. The psychological terror was kinda dull and the activities dragged. I got bored. There was not much of a storyline to follow or lead you forward to make you excited or bring you into the story. I do not recommend this game.

Okay Hidden Object Adventure Game
this game is nothing special, nothing new. The storyline, including a menacing disease started the government is old hat and boring already.The hidden object scenes are okay. Visuals are nothing special. The soundtrack is very unique, different and engaging.
I wouldn't waste a free coupon on this game.

This game was not one of my favorites. Items difficult to find. Health kits few and far between. Graphics were good, the story easy to follow. It had some genuine tense moments. I found movement very frustrating between scenes. If you love challenges, and your wits intact go for this game.

kinda fun, but very predictable, and trying very hard to be scary lol :)
but at least the hogs werent around every corner, and they were easy, (as the whole game was quite boringly easy).
anyway, not too too bad...go try :)

Drags on a bit too long
As with so many of the games, what begins as a challenging mystery gradually devolves into a tedious bore.
I'm not a fan of zombies and zombie-themes games, but I was willing to give it a shot. Initially, the puzzles, HOSs, and actions make sense. With a little thought, I could figure out what I needed to look for and what to do with what I found, and where to go next. I was enjoying the challenge as well as the mystery.
The HOS were clear and, while the items were not immediately obvious, they could be found with a little effort. The puzzles were on the easy side; most of them just required a willingness to keep switching things around enough times.
However, a little over half-way through, the game veered off into left field. The actions become more and more random and more and more backtracking was required. For me, the final straw was when I had to use a weight bar to turn a power line into a zip line. It was all downhill from there.
And, of course, there is no explanation for why the main character and her daughter were not turned into zombies.
