Living Legends: Ice Rose Collector's Edition 4.3 5 118 118
Feels like Deja Vue The game brings nothing new to the HOG adventure world. It's visually stunning which I appreciate and enjoy. The graphics change but the game stays the same...too many boring HOG in my opinion. It has a few new and interesting although not very challenging mini games. I will buy this game because I can't stop once I start but I wish developers would gives us some more meat. All and all it's still a nice way to spend a few hours. March 22, 2012
Good Game Played the demo on the CE version and really liked the game. Not too many HOG scenes, and the puzzles were difficult enough to keep me interested. Appreciate any game that gives you a choice of beginner, advanced and expert levels. I played on advanced level and felt it was about right. My only negatives would be I wish the HOG scenes were a little more crisp and sometimes the object what you are looking for isn't quite what the description is. Also, they reuse the HOG so you already kinda know where the new objects are. But the game has so much going for it I will definitely buy the SE version. April 8, 2012
Feeling Generous I'm rounding up just over four stars to 5 because I am having a lot of fun with the game and feel generous towards a new developer, best game out in a few and worth the CE price perhaps because I really appreciate the ability to replay the mini games which is my favourite part. They are not really hard but they are quite pretty and the visual appeal of a game is very important to me. This game is reminiscent of the snow queen in some respects but not enough to really detract. The story is lame but the scenery is well drawn and the HOGs are clear enough to pass through quickly. The music is better than most and tolerable for some time before I switch off which in some games is almost immediate. It is outstanding NO but it is a good solid few hours of entertainment and that's all I ask of a game. March 27, 2012
Not recommended for many reasons... I don't understand the rave reviews about this game. From the demo's beginning until I quit well before my time was up, I found this game lacking in almost every area. The storyline didn't captivate me at all. The villain's nastiness was too easily overcome; her "powers" seemed weak. I felt no pressing need to rescue Edward or the frozen townspeople. There was no sense of urgency created by music, animation, etc. The graphics in the sample screenshots looked quite well done. In game, however, they were washed out and lacked detail. The HO scenes were especially amateurish, and looked cobbled together from clip art. The lack of voiceovers in this day and age is almost unforgivable. When combined with the puppet-like animation of the characters' mouths, it leaves the player detached from the storyline. Lastly, it was just too easy. So easy that it was boring. I wouldn't buy the SE, never mind the CE. Frankly, I wouldn't even purchase this game as a DD. February 18, 2013
exciting hidden object game Love the game ... can't wait for the next one to come out May 11, 2012
Took me a while, but got there eventually.... I have mixed feelings about this game. On the plus, the story line was excellent and so were the puzzles and gameplay. Music I always have turned down, so can't comment on that. I have to say though, I did get a tiny bit bored in the middle and lost interest. I came back to it about a week later and finished the game. This was just my personal opinion though. Usually I like really long games, but this seemed to go on forever. Overall, I would recommend it. April 24, 2012
Exciting, Wonderful game! I really enjoyed this game. It has everything going for it.... Great visuals, music, story. The Hogs were ok and mini games fun. I must say that even on the hardest level it still was not challenging enough for me, but for an intermediate or beginner it will be tricky. Even with the bonus content I wished the game was longer, but I'm not holding that against it since it was so much fun to play. Good use of scenes & I like having to go back and forth to move through the game. Highly recommend this one! April 21, 2012
Almost a 5 but just not quite(4.75) While the graphics are very well done I felt it would have done the game more justice to have VOs. The storyline was great and the puzzles were just challenging enough. Plenty of HOS', no map but that was okay, didn't really see the need for one. Hint button is convenient but not necessary most of the time. Held my attention and all in all I hope to see more of the story in the future April 21, 2012
Great Game This game was great, had lots of play time. I'm not a player that plays whole game in one sitting, so I could not tell you how long game is, hint button was great, refills quickly, hidden objects were good and puzzles were great, will be replaying. April 10, 2012
They Got Everything Right! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this game. Gorgeous graphics, soothing music, lots of different areas to explore, tasks that made sense, a compelling storyline...I could go on and on. And it's laid-out so well, I never got lost. There were only a couple of inventory items where it wasn't obvious what they should be used for. Otherwise, very logical. The length of the main game is more than adequate, and the bonus chapter is longer than usual! All the extras are great, including access to all the hidden objects scenes and puzzles to replay. I wish I could give this one more than five stars! It deserves ten! I can't wait for the next installment! April 4, 2012
