My first review of "only okay" Overall my thoughts was this was only okay. I would buy this game but only if they are running a sale (less than bigfishgame member price). Reasons this game was only okay... (1) My computer disliked the graphics. Everytime that creepy robot appeared my computer stuttered. and by computer, I really mean the game. But I say computer because it is possible it was just me. (2) The game had so much potential. There were mini games and sparkles and a lot of back and forth collecting objects (A lot of reviewers do not like that aspect- but me- I love it!) I always select the harder method for these games, but I still felt there was either TOO much hand holding (hints charged too quickly, skips appeared too soon, the mini games took less insight and more random clicking to pass) or TOO little (I never use more than a couple of hints/skips for an entire game, I used more than a couple in this trial alone!) For me I used hints because I just did not see the item (record player under bird?) The good qualities about the game- The story line was good. I would have liked to find out what the rest of the story was through the curtains. I especially liked the HOG part because instead of images or words- it was a category you had to find. I have seen that in only one other HOG game. Overall- sure I recommend it- but I would not say for full/discounted price. I will be saving this one for a super coupon code. March 24, 2012
Childish but good Have waited for this game since the CE came out, looked a promising game. I am disappointed that it is rather childish and not much challange in it at all. Visual and Sound is excellent, good voice over. Storyline ok but predictable. I have played the full hour demo slowly and clicked on everything, knowing that some trial games don't go the full hour, but still it was too easy. I still finished the demo 2 minutes before the hour was up. There was no anticipation or thinking in this game for seasoned adventurers. Game play was different, no HOG lists just collect 12 of whatever, which were easy to find. As for buying this game.... only as a Daily Deal. Recommended for family or children. March 23, 2012
Good concept, but..... I'm glad I waited for the SG, not buying the CE. Game could have been so good, but it was way too short. The HOGs were different, not the usual junk piles and games were ok, story started out wanting me to find out what is going on, but then got very predictable. I thought there was more to the house to explore, however ended way too fast for me. I like a lot of search and destroy :), looong games, this one could have been so much better. March 24, 2012
Quirky Fun Game This game has a lot going for it. Great sound & effects, good story, excellent graphics. That being said, it lacks length, and is way too easy for us expert players. I'd say if you are a beginner or even intermediate player this game will be challenging enough. Some of the puzzles were fun even though they were easy. It took me less than an hour to play the entire game. I wish it was longer and a final puzzle challenge to get out of the house would have been great. March 27, 2012
Dissapointing Graphics were ok and the story line was mediocre. Not much of a challenge. Completed it in about 3 hours. March 25, 2012
May have challenges booring, may have areas i cant find, help doesn't refill quick enough, March 26, 2012
too short Different hidden objects than most games. Instructions on mini games sometimes not clear enough. Tooo short, glad I didn't pay for the collector's edition. March 29, 2012
Eh! Eh..couldn't care less about it. I found the inventor sooo irritating. Of course it might be a result from yesterdays' mood and since everybody else likes it, it probably is March 25, 2012
Most take all day to clean that Brass House This is a good game but ive played bettter ones alot of you like this game. i have played both the CE and the SE i wont be buying this game there is a small bit of voice over the graphic are ok the H.O are diffrent then then the normal way they do it that to me is the best bit of the game maybe if bigfish do other game they may keep that in,it like find 12 round things 12 sillver thinks that to me is the best bit of this game.as i all ways say dont just take my word try it out you may like it better them me we have all got diffent taste in games.as i said this one ill pass on.hope that help some one, March 23, 2012
For some reason, it made me anxious The game was of good quality, but for some reason it made me anxious. I get anxious with some kinds of games (shooters, time management) which is why I choose hidden object games. This one made me feel rushed or something at some points (for some reason). This probably won't bother anyone else, I'm sure it's just weird me. Enjoy September 27, 2013
