Fun & different from other games
Part adventure, part time management & strategy (though more resources management). Think "Lemonade Stand," the old game from 25 years ago! But with beautiful colors, interesting places to visit, and a great variety of chocolates to be made, with goals being updated constantly to continually challenge you.
I have played all 3 Chocolatier games; I definitely recommend playing them in order, as the ingredients & recipes become more complicated as you go from game to game, and I expect most people will want to continue and play a sequel, so going in the reverse order might be a bit disappointing after the complexity of the later versions. Plus, chronologically, they go in order, and you get to see technology progress as well! Each one takes several hours to complete (longer if you don't quickly figure out how to handle your inventory). When you've completed all achievements you can keep playing if you wish, and there will be more custom orders given to you, just no more major achievements.
I like having the little arcade-style segments that determine your weekly chocolate output rates from each factory, and if you pay attention in your travels, you can learn the names of some new places and the important buildings in some of the cities!

I thought only the real stuff was addicting!
This game is a BLAST and what better way to stay thin than making and playing with virtual chocolate. Now, it took me a good 15 minutes to get the hang of what I was doing cause I don't think the directions are especially great - However, once you get down pat how to make the chocolate bars in the factory - the rest is a really competitive game of buying, selling and haggling! I LOVE IT!
I bought this game as soon as the time was up cause, you know...it's chocolate and I don't want it to melt : ) Yum, chocolate.
Okay, you start off in San Francisco and you need to move the cursor around a bit cause different establishments will light up and give you different information or you can purchase ingredients to make your candy bars, etc. Once you go a few rounds on the first level you are able to design and name your company!
Next you travel to different destinations, buying ingredients, selling candy bars, or perhaps playing gambling with the locals. There's so much going on with this game that I would consider it strategy, time management and designing.
Bought and played another 3 hours and was never bored - and it teaches math, probability, history and life skills! Are you sold? I am - maybe I'll buy it twice...oh wait! There's two more of these games - so, I'll get them instead ; )
