Phenomenon: City of Cyan 4.1 5 212 212
Original story, striking graphics I was drawn in to this game from the beginning cut scene that set the story up. I love the blend of fantasy and sci-fi and although I generally prefer the lushly hand-painted style of art, I really thought the crisp visuals fit in well with the setting. The "cyan ghosts" all looked great, and there was a surprisingly spooky moment that startled the 4-year-old watching me play the game. ;) The story was very interesting and I was a bit disappointed by how it ended, but I liked the ambiguity along the way. Who can you trust? Who is lying? Is anyone who they claims to be? There is a map in the game that shows the locations where you can take actions. There was a great variety of fun puzzles, but nothing too difficult. I especially liked a unique puzzle that actively involved the map. October 22, 2012
ALMOST got five stars, BUT... Monica Dipp's voice is unbearable. PEN-DANNNT repeated over and over, and her general enunciation drove me nuts. The other voices were great. The highly abrupt ending as well, one wouldn't expect from an otherwise high quality game. Otherwise, stunning graphics, unique HO method, and different sorts of puzzles than the norm. Sometimes there was a bit of hand-holding, when clicking on an object. It isn't as fun when the game tells you specifically what you need to do. Storyline would have been better if the character's last name wasn't Dipp, if she had a different voice entirely (she wasn't believable and made the game less enjoyable# and if there was a better #or any) resolution at the end. Amazing!!!! What a beautiful game this game was an instant buy for me just looking at the screenshots. The Dev's have really scored big with this very creative and totally unique game. The mini puzzles are great the hidden object scenes are great and the hidden object scenes within the hidden object scenes are such a refreshing change to the regular hidden object scenes. Getting the strategy guide was a very pleasant surprise I had to check to make sure this was not a CE. I used a PCC to purchase this game but would have gladly paid the price. There is nothing I did not like about this game I loved every second of play. Thank you Dev's and thank you BigFish for bringing us this very intersting and innovative game! March 25, 2012
Phenomenal Game This is my first review after being a member for about a year. This is by far the best game I have come across by far. Puzzle Lab is right on target for graphics, voice overs, music, and HOS with HOS inside. The story flowed so well you just can't stop playing and when it is over you still want it to go on. One can only hope there are sequels that we can devour. Thank you BFG's for this intriguing game at a bargain price. This is a top notch winner. More please!!! March 28, 2012
Fun but... In the begining I liked this game very much ,but I got dissapointed in the end. I liked the HOS ,because they are original and I found the HOS within the HOS interesting. The plot was confusing and my greatest complaint is the abrupt end .It gave me the impression that either there was some technical issue and they had to cut the story short ,or they were trying to prepare for a sequel. Unique Challenges While not the most difficult game and basically a straight HOG/Adventure type game what makes this game stand out is the puzzles that you have never seen anywhere else. Even more than the story line, you want to keep playing to find out what the developers have up their sleeves next. How refreshing it is to play a game that has game after game with a unique challenge never seen before. Thanks to the developers for taking the time to include fresh games within Phenomenon City of Cyan. It sets this game apart from others and makes it well worth the time of playing in a genre that is growing. March 25, 2012
Wow! Now this is a great game! Thank you Big Fish Games. I was so happy to see a regular game, that is great! Thank you game developers, you did a wonderful job!!! March 25, 2012
A really great game This is one of the best games I've played, much better than most of the CE's we've got. It's done with care and perfectly in all belongings. All the "goodies" you would wish in a good CE you'll find in this game - for a SE-price!! Thanks to BigFish and Kudos to the developers. Please bring us more of them. March 25, 2012
Creative I play lots of hidden object games and really like the mini puzzles the best. This game has a fresh take on the mini games and the HO scenes. Good job. I recommend it! March 25, 2012
Who's your Daddy?? If you are tired of same old puzzles and hidden objects this game might be for you. Otherwise the storyline was really choppy and came to a very unsatisfying ending. In this game you collect a lot of inventory and I have to say the cursor was really bad .It was really difficult to handle the cursor especially if you needed to scroll through your inventory . I would give it 2 1/2 stars April 15, 2012
