Another good game from Hidden Mysteries I must have all the Hidden Mysteries Games. there all good fun this one has nice Graphics and sound.the only think i would like if they made the items and the list a wee bit bigger my old eyes just made them out. but the game it self is very good some funny parts in it like hiting the man with a big stone.would Recommend this to every one. ho hum Must have played a different game. The only plot I ran across was in the first 30 seconds during the intro. Lot of running around grabbing objects to use somewhere else. HOS were not very well drawn. Mini games were the easiest of any game I can think of. I finished the demo in 20 minutes using the hint button once, which takes a long time to reload. The end of the demo is 17.5% of the game according to the walkthrough. That translates to less than a two hour game, so short as well. Maybe worth a DD, but not at SE prices. March 30, 2012
Nice HOG, but a lilttle boring graphics are good except for the HO scenes, a little mishapen and dark. Music was nice and unobtrusive. Run-of-the-mill storyline. A handmaiden in 12th century AD waits for execution in a tower and is released by the real culprit. This is where I lose interest, instead of trying to get away, she stays to fix the wrong done by the real culprit. The game only allowed me 33 minutes of play, I guess I was too fast for it. Nice HOG for beginners. March 30, 2012
History??? One reason for downloading this was to find out which Queen could be having an affair with a man which could threaten the throne. The opening scene, set in 1601, shows the protagonist, a "handmaiden" (should be Lady in Waiting), brushing the long auburn locks of the then 68-year-old Queen Elizabeth I. She is then betrayed by another "handmaiden" dressed in the fashion of 200 years previously. This was already robbing me of the will to continue - the developers obviously don't care. The game itself is banal, with anachronistic junk-pile H0 scenes and simple puzzles, and an increasingly improbable story line. Instead of puzzling out how to escape while you have the chance, you wander from scene to scene around "the Tower" finding items to solve tasks set by ghosts who pop up looking for help. It's just not challenging enough to overlook the silliness. March 30, 2012
A rather good game This is one of those games were the demo stops at a certain point and you don't get your full hour. I still had 21 minutes to play. Anywho, I really injoyed the game and think I'll buy it. It dosn't, wow, you,but it's a nice game to play on a boring day. The graphics were good, I didn't have the audio on so I can't tell you about that. There is some dialog but it's short and sweet. You do need to brush the dust off "Ze little gray cells" a bit for this game but don't worry it's all logical. Maybe not the best, but it's pretty good. March 30, 2012
A Good Game To Fill In Time Not a bad game at all - A Queen's Handmaiden gets sent to the Tower accused of a crime she didn't commit. No penalty for over clicking and graphics were good. No dialogue except what you read - a lot of running back and forwards before you even get to escape, which I presume you do. Demo finished before I got that far. Nothing startling in the game, seems to be plenty of puzzles and things to find in the sparkles, but a decent game to play when it's bad weather. March 30, 2012
Just OK Nice graphics. Typical HO scenes. The mini games are very easy as is the game overall even in expert mode. Good game if you like HOS, but don't want a game that is too challenging. March 30, 2012
Relax and Enjoy Tradition This is in my buy file waiting on the new month. The story line moves to keep you intriqued. The sounds and graphics are clear. This is a game you can sit back and relax. The games are different but not frustrating. I got a little unnerved by the need to move all over finding pieces to play a game. It would be a nice change to get to a game and play without revisiting with pieces. March 30, 2012
Really Intriguing Story I thought this was a great game to buy. Took me about four hours to play and really liked the medieval settings and story. March 30, 2012
Very enjoyable The graphics were great and the HOS clear enough to find items. The puzzles were challenging for my level so they were possible to solve without skipping (mostly). The story line was good and followed history to a certain extent. Even though it's a SE I felt the story was finished at the end; not like some SE where you need to play the CE to have the feeling that the story is finished. August 17, 2012
