Well worth it!!
This is one of the best games I have played in a long time! Interesting puzzles, story line, and characters. Very entertaining. I loved it!! Highly recommend this game.

Not my favorite Mystery Trackers game
I played Raincliff which I love and The Void which was pretty cool but this was by far the only Mystery Trackers game which I really dislike. I felt the visuals and drawings had low resolution and the voice-over in junction to the videos were awful. The puzzles were ok but the clues and mini quests seemed really illogical at times, and during numerous times. I was also pretty tired of running back and forth from the island to the city. I prefer games where I advance to new areas.

Another Fine Mystery Trackers Game!
I love Mystery Trackers!
I have Void and Raincliff and have played them over and over so I had to get Black Isle -- and I am glad I did! The art and creativity are even better than the others
It is a fun game and part of the challenge is running this way and back that way and remembering where this and that was.
With that said, if I could change anything, it might be a little of this helter skelter routine. I just fnished another game that is very smooth - everything unfolds with some order to it though going to many levels (portals, etc) and the purpose is always clear.
In other words you always know where you 'are going with this' and what you need is always pretty close at hand so with just a little intuition you can proceed without help. (and if not help is very clear also).
Keep 'em coming, Mystery Trackers!
Thanks for all the FUN, Felix!

Dull, dark and dreary
I usually like the games from Elephant but this edition was a disappointment. I bought it before I tried it, won't do that again. HOS are few, HO are easy to find and the award items are no challenge as to where they go. Constant rain and travel between two main buildings, dull play. Animations are OK at best and storyline unimaginative. Some contributers found this to be a great game, but I feel it doesn't live up to expectations.

Okay Game
-interactive map, but does not tell you everything to do
-hint system is good, no need for a SG
-music is good, graphics are good
-mini games must be good, I had to skip a lot of them
-no journal
This is a game that should be played all at once. You can easily forget what and where you are.

I want that dog!
Just when I thought nothing would ever beat a crowbar along comes Elf the superdog. I won't give away spoilers but you'll know by the end of the game.
Best game I've played in a long time.
Graphics superb but don't slow your gameplay (I hate when the cleverness gets in the way#. Music there but not irritating.
HOS fab - love that you have to fetch stuff from your inventory to complete tasks whithin them.
Mini games taxing but not frustratingly so. Think I only had to skip one.
Thankfully you can teleport around using the map because the back and forth was immense #that's a good thing from my point of view#
Moving between scenes didn't lag too badly either. Thumbs up for another Mystery Tracker success.
I didn't get the CE edition and I wonder if the owls grew in significance in the extras cos it really felt that I should have been collecting them #and i love collecting nonsense whilst completing thirty virtual marathons)
Any chance I can keep the dog?

EXCELLENT Adventure with all the Extras!
This game is 10 out of 10! Like Madame Fate, it had ALL the Best elements! It emphasized Adventure and had a well-balanced mix of things to do. Also great, it didn't "torture" you with Hidden Object games just "thrown in" like some games do. And every single puzzle made sense, were logical or the solution was near by. The inventory held many items at once, which was great, so it didn't feel cramped and linear. I'd love to see more games like this, perhaps from this team. Incredible!

Frustration, thy name is Black Isle
This game has an interesting story line, good graphics and sound and is very challenging. Therein lay the problem for me. I enjoy some challenge, but when I choose the easiest game mode so that I can relax, I expect that it will be easy. There was so much back and forth travel between the locations, puzzles within puzzles that were all missing pieces that had to be found elsewhere, and no clear idea on where to head next without hitting the hint button (which was very helpful). My frustration level rose to such a degree that I am not sure when I will finish the game, despite the desire to know how it will end. The Collector's Edition of this game would be a much better bet to buy with the Strategy Guide that would come with it. With a little more instruction relaxed players could enjoy the game a lot, even with the back and forth.

Whoa! What a Game!
What a great surprise! Another great game from Elephant Games. Love the casual, advanced or hardcore modes. This game has Wow graphics and live action. Sound is spooky and appropriate for the game. One of the best parts is for the HOG scenes, you sometimes use an item from inventory to help you along - what a great idea. There is an info button on the puzzles which helps if you get stuff.
Definitely a buy for me today!

Frustrating
Yes, HOGs don't make a whole lot of sense on a good day, (to put out that raging fire, first I'll need to find a wrench!) but Black Isle has ZERO flow. Some of the tasks would be near impossible to figure out without checking the walkthrough, and I hate checking the walkthrough. Ohhhhh, so the tiny bell I collected a long, long time ago needs to be hung from the hook to get the chandelier off the suitcase, because now it's not so tiny? Blech. Still, some fun elements and the visuals are outstanding.
