Absolutely loved it! After buying the first one, (which i absolutely loved) i was excited to see the second one. It lives up to the hype, similar to the other but with more challenges and ideas. I bought it straight away. March 31, 2012
too busy and unfocused for me Loved the first Life Quest and played it several times, but quit and uninstalled this one after just 30 mins of the demo. It's the same deal as the first one - improving your life by working, studying, exercising, building relationships, buying stuff etc. - but this time the challenges are presented in an insensitively named "12 step program" and you can choose which challenge to take on, which I found too busy and unfocused. There's so much background noise. Every time you enter a building, a character has a line of dialogue. It's annoying and doesn't add anything except 'colour'. You can chat to strangers and receive friendship points, but they don't have anything interesting to say and it eats up time. The phone rings - same deal. It's just another item taking up screen space. The real goals get lost in all this extra clutter. Even the look of the city feels cluttered. Not for me. April 2, 2012
disappointing This was a disappointing sequel to the original Life Quest. The graphics are amateur and the game play was a little confusing at first. The plot is the same as the first just a different story line. There are more body types and heads to choose from, but the clothing choices are very lacking and need much improvement to even compare with the first game. Better job choices and athletic classes to choose from though. They need to make a third one and combine the awesomeness of each of the two games to make one awesome game instead of two lacking games. March 31, 2012
Better Than The Original! The original LQ was great, and this one is even better. If you bought and enjoyed the first one, you are going to LOVE the sequel. It was definitely made to be replayed (over and over), and this game takes much longer to finish than the first without being repetitive or boring. This is a really fun game and they made some nice changes from the previous game. In this game you have to figure out how to make friends (some people are easier than others), you get bonuses for doing it (unlocks new avatars) and you can become mayor of the town. I love that you can unlock new avatars and outfits, and I love the trophy challenges. Overall a really great game. Well done! I love it. April 2, 2012
Worthy Sequel If you liked the original Life Quest, this is a great sequel with more of everything good. You can pick the order to do the challenges, and it has a bit more intricate a job selections. Note that one thing that was in the original did not make it to the sequel: There is no ability to cook at home. April 2, 2012
A LQ Sequel At Long Last I enjoyed LQ so much that I bought this sequel without playing the trial. And while I haven't played the game all the way to the end yet, I am enjoying it alot. I do like the storyline better and the ability to take my date to the spa. I also like the ability to develop a "relationship" with a friend rather than a challenge to get married. The clothes & customization of colors is not as good. The jobs are more varied but still not enough in the health care profession to suit me. The pay scale is a bit strange but the object of this game is still the same: Work hard and set goals to achieve your dream in life. A game for the whole family with good replayabilty. Thanks BF!!!! More games like this PLEASE. April 1, 2012
If You Liked The First Life Quest If you liked the first Life Quest, be aware that this game is not quite like the original. More confusing and you need to buy certain clothes based on your career choice which in some cases looks pretty awful. I agree with another poster that using the term "12 step" is insensitive. Life Quest 2: Metropoville - Wish there were more like this one! I am a casual gamer. Sometimes I play games everyday and sometimes I go weeks without playing. I tend to bore easily as I did with straight HO games. I don't really care for time management/ strategy except for a few exceptions, this series being one of them. Life Quest is one of the few games I have played through over and over again! What I like about Life Quest 2, is I think it has even more appeal as far as replay-ability (not a word I know) goes! I am really enjoying this on the first play-through and I can't wait to play again and again. I wish there were more like this one - even it they only change some of the details. I can play them for hours at a time! April 4, 2012
Problems In spite of trying all of the options listed under the BFG Game Crashing page this game continued to crash at random times during play. Each time I tried to replay the game I had to start all over. It was very frustrating to spend time building up a character to have it fall apart before too long. Furthermore, there was little actual challenge in achieving any of the goals. April 6, 2012
If It Aint Broke, Don't Fix It This game wasn't half as fun as the original. Really disappointed!! Good Parts: The intro was funny and appealing. The challenges were good. Ok Parts: Able to create own character, but there are way too many limits. Bad Parts: Graphics are much, much worse than before. The developers have really slacked off. The game is just BORING. It's extremely repetitive with no variation at all. Didn't like the way the challenges were set out. (e.g. Fitness, Acedemics etc.) I liked the old ones better where you had an opponent from your old high school. Overall, I was not interested in this game. I'm really disappointed, because I liked theoriginal so much! August 5, 2012
