Life Quest 2 4.2 5 137 137
At last more Life Quest Life Quest 2 manages to be better and somehow different than the original Life Quest. The challenges are differently organized and several hours into the game I have not found so far the weakness that the previous version had, namely that there was a more or less "obligatory" route of progression if you wanted to "beat" the game. On the contrary the game seems to be built to be highly replayable. You could choose the paths you want, the challenges you want. You can even choose to play or not to play against a competitor. I don't want to say more here as much of the joy of such a game lies in the discovery of how it is all put together. I definitely recommend you try it. March 31, 2012
A clear update from the previous game I remember back when I played the first Life Quest, I loved the game, but some of the challenges were just ridiculously easy and at times I truly found the challenges annoying. Now, Life Quest 2 is out, and I decided to buy the game straight off. What a bargain! If you, like me, likes challenges and still a lot of fun and exploring, this is a game for you. Changes from Life Quest 1 are options. You can choose if you want rivals, you can easily get loads of variations and choose what quests to pursue. The timeline is very challenging, played this game once and still didn't get a full score. This game doesn't just invollve time management, but quite a bit of strategy and planning. And some surprises, like life is. I also like the friends options, and the closer reality of how you socialize and meet new people. This is a clear winner, and a great new game to set the standards for upcoming games of this kind. People will keep this game in mind as new life quest games develop. April 2, 2012
Great Fun - One of the best I loved the first Life Quest and got hooked with this one within 10 minutes. The gameplay is pretty much the same as it was, but with a lot more variations. More Challenges and you can choose if you want to compete with one of the characters or not. New and different locations are there as well and more ways to socialize with people around. And more ways to define your character at the beginning as well. Well done! a superb Ugrade to the first Life Quest. Love it ! March 31, 2012
Better than the first one More challenging than the first game. You can choose opponent or not. You can make friends and maintain friendships. You are alo more free to make "achivements" even during other tasks. So far I only played the trial version, but seriously considering using a game club credit. March 31, 2012
I love it It's very much like Life Quest 1 only with a lot more to do and more interaction. For the challenges you can if you want to compete or just potter along doing them in your own time. Not too keen on the music, but that can be turned down or off. After having completed the trial (always a good sign if I complete it) I decided to buy. If you like Life Quest 1 you will like this one even more. March 31, 2012
Liked LQ1 Graphics Alot Better!!! Having played LQ1 numerous times as women and men, I was thrilled when I saw this over the weekend. Well.....Good storyline but the graphics are not the same. Not sure what happened. People / Body types were better last time. However, enjoyed having children to pick up at child care, investing money and being able to be friends first with a potential spouse instead of picking them up at the nightclub or a personal ad. A little warning about needing to propose while wearing your bridal clothing would have been nice. I got married in a business suit after I had spent time picking out a dress and shoes. Grrrrrrr. Any way to bring the graphic quality back from LQ1? Also, not everyone wants to get married and have kids. Being single should be an option or/and being single and adopting. Just a thought. A Decent Sequel If you liked the first Life Quest, you'll probably like this one. It's a simulation game in that you have a character and you must make their life great while doing quests and working with their daily time meter. The graphics are cute. The map looks sort of different from the first game, but it's the same sort of "click-here-go-there" map. The music is fine. The premise of the game is about the same: Move to a new town, find a job, buy a vehicle, etc. as game quests. This time quests are in the form of a "pie," and there are three quests to complete each pie slice. You can also choose whether you want to compete against an opponent or just do the quests at your own pace. However, you only have 100 (I think?) in-game days to complete the game. Sort of. The game wants you to rack up as many points before that period is over, but [kind of spoiler alert] if you'd really like, you can just keep on playing with the same character. I found that the game was neither easy or hard-- it was just right. Like the first game, there is a time factor. You only get a certain amount of time to do things each day, and that is hindered by how well you slept and if you ate the day before. You can add more time to that meter by going to the gym, though, so by the middle of the game you can have a decent amount of time to do what you need to do. I will say that I completed a whole "game" last night in a few hours. I started a new one today with a different character and began with a different job, and it's nice to see that the game experience is quite a bit different, so there's some some replayability here. INDEED !! WOW !! Bought w/o demo on merits of 1st title .. Am writing this bleary-eyed, 18-19 hrs later 80! "accidentally" played 2nd game thru, with the intention of only starting 2nd Avatar for EZ start next round.. Only put mid-range on sound, because I play mute w/ TV in background) Thanks for the Game :) ~Papillon~ April 1, 2012
New and (mostly) Improved version of Life Quest I liked the first Life Quest but I was appalled at the silly contest to get married first. This version has corrected that situation and now you have friends, who may grow in relationship strength, so that you may choose to propose marriage to a likely candidate but, you can skip it, just as well. The one thing I missed in this version was the option to eat at home. Even if you buy a mini-fridge you can't stock it with food. (references: Magic Life, the first Life Quest, etc). And none of the housing options include a kitchen! Oh, and I seemed to be constantly posting bail for one or another character who got themselves arrested but I never knew what the reasons were. In general, this is an actual new and improved version of Life Quest and I really enjoyed it. March 31, 2012
Life can be funny This is just one of those games that caused a whole day to disappear, and then made me look at my family and tell them that they were on their own for dinner. Yeah, Bad Mommy Award. In this game, you're starting with nothing, and are given these life goals to accomplish, and trophies to try and get (though, I did like the one for Shotgun Wedding). You have goals that you can pick, or they can be randomly picked for you. You can also earn Friend points by bailing someone out of jail. This is a game that is hysterical from start to finish, and gets extra points from me because I can get a doberman from the pet store and a couple of stray cats...sort of like in real life. As in life, there really isn't a storyline -- you just create your own story as you go along. April 2, 2012
