Hours of FUN!
Thank you to the developer for creating and releasing such a wonderful sequel so quickly!!
The graphics were clear and crisp. The interactive objects were just the right amount. I didn't find all the morphing objects, so I'll definitely replay the game! The puzzles were easy, except the blocks. Now that was rather quite enjoyable to keep trying to fit all pieces together! Almost reminded me of Tetris. The cut scenes were EXCELLENT!
The length of the bonus game was awesome! Thank you for going the extra mile to ensure a really enjoyable "bonus" play. Kudos to the artists!
Thanks Big Fish and to the developer for another great game!!

Same Ole, Same Ole
The sequel to House of 1000 doors: Family Secrets. With the same familiar characters. The graphics are very good, music eerie but not annoying or obtrusive. The text is awful small. Very hard to read unless you lean into your computer.
There is a map that lets you ?beam/transport? yourself to different areas, eliminates the to & fro. It also indicates if an action is available to perform. Makes it easy to find something to do if you get lost, it also is a deterrent to figuring out stuff on your own. Options for screen size and casual or advanced mode. There is no penalty click for HOG.
Having played the predecessor I was excited to see this game come out. After reviewing the demo this is a no purchase for me. The story is basically the same. There are a lot of HOG?s. I am so tired of adventure HOG. This is the second demo I played today, the other being Sprits of Mystery Song of the Phoenix CE, it cannot compare. The HOG?s there are much more interactive, not just a point and click. While I am not fond of HOG, the way they are used there may just change my mind. My money will be better spent there.

Good game, very easy
This is a good game, but I don't think it is as good as the first House of 1000 Doors. There is a map that helps you see where you need to do things and you can jump there. I found myself using the map more instead of trying to figure out where to go myself. The puzzles were easy too. Overall the graphics are very good. I wasn't impressed by the music. All in all It is an enjoyable game and I hope they will continue to do more of these. I like the concept of having a whole new adventure every time a new door is opened.

Great graphics and entertaining
I was very glad to see that another House of a 1000 Doors was published and knew that I'm going to buy this one as well. The graphics are excellent, very beautiful cut-scenes. The game play in itself is not too difficult - played Expert mode, although some HOS were a tee bit tricky.
You will enter different kinds of worlds (countries) and this is exactly the part I didn't like too much, as the story-line looses somehow its touch and I rather found this confusing than adding up to the story. That's why I gave the game only a 4 star. Despite that I can really recommend the game, even though I did prefer the first edition of House of a 1000 Doors.

Even better than 1000 Doors: Family Secrets
Absolutely brilliant game. I thought that 1000 Doors: Family Secrets was great, but this is even better! Fantastic scene rendering, great game play, challenging puzzles. I loved it!

so easy...
I would have really liked this game if it were more challenging. I played on hard mode but the number of tips given to you took away any possibility of challenge. The puzzles were super easy as well. If you enjoy the challenge of the Mystery case files games you might not enjoy this.
the graphics and story line are cool, in fact, the game would have been great if it weren't so boring. Good if you want something relaxing.

Stunningly Beautiful.. . and Intelligent!
*this review is based on finished game @ adv setting*
This edition of 1K Doors: "The Palm of Zoroaster" CE is incredibly beautiful and rich beyond any thing I have seen in a very long time.
This not a new story. . are there any new stories? This story is put together so well that it flows smoothly and effortlessly unfolding while enfolding the viewer. The "movie" clips are beautiful, the cut scenes are beautiful, the HO scenes are beautiful. The soundtrack is beautiful. The VO are a perfect match to the character portrayed.
This is a game, where the theme is fully explored through the eyes of different people, from different times, cultures, ethnic and spiritual backgrounds working to achieve a common goal. In its quiet way, it is also a tutorial concerning shared values of major import between all peoples.
This is one of those rare games that we all wish would come along more frequently.

Finally..... the sequel
I have waited for this sequel to come out and played the demo on the devs website but waited for BF to release it. It was soooo worth it, however I must say, that the first one was a bit better. Seems like the first game had 1000 doors where as this one only had 500.
Still a lot of locations, but somewhat predictable " doors ".
Graphics and cutscenes are absolutely stunning, while traveling to the different countries. Game play was fairly easy and minigames not much new here, however a lot of fun. And you still have to find morphing objects, I was missing 7 more, arrgh
You still have to help the individual ghosts, but they are new faces, except for Gabriel and Amanda, who are back.
The ending left me thinking there must be more to come. I just hope there will be another sequel, but please give us loads of doors to explore. I just love all the areas from the first one.
The bonus game is well worth getting the CE, that's the only way to find out what may happen next, besides it is very long.
Can't wait for another, this must go on

Beautiful but too easy
Another game with ghosts - the characters are good but the voice-overs did not really match the characters well. There were a lot of cut scenes as well.
The game was not very long - eight chapters and the bonus. Travelling slowly and enjoying the scenes only took about 4 hours. Two modes of play, both of which are easy. The hint button refills quickly and there is an option to skip puzzles although that won't be necessary regarding them being hard.
The map is interactive and there a lot of locations to wander through, completing HOS and finding objects to use throughout the journey. It is easy to find the objects and then to move to the scenes where you can use them.
The storyline was not new but did flow. The graphics are beautiful and there is a lot to look at in scenes.
The HOS scenes may be a little cluttered for some but did not detract for me as they are beautifully drawn. Items on a list may be found directly or by doing an action. Scenes did repeat and the objects already found earlier appear back in the scene next time around.
The puzzles are very easy and for those looking for a challenge, this will disappoint.
Another nice game from the developer that will not disappoint those who enjoy very good graphics, an interactive map and a lot of things to do and enjoy along the way.
