Thumbs Down. I played the demo and read the reviews and I have to agree with the low stars -- this game is boring. There just isn't anything about this game I liked. Please play the demo before purchasing this game to make an informed decision. There are just much better games out there. August 19, 2014
Missed it by That Much After playing about 40 minutes of the trial I bought this game - thought it was going to be great. It took me a few more levels to figure out that it leaves a few things to be desired. There are vials to fill on each level. I didn't know until way later that the only way the vials could fill is if you matched 4, 5, or 6 tiles. You match 3 and you see the fairy dust just float to the bottom of the abyss. No score, no nothing. Noting this, you try to look for bigger matches and avoid the 3 tilers and this slows down the game. If the game gets going fast it's a sight to see but it becomes drudgery looking for the bigger matches to fill the vials. And it takes forever to fill the vials, you're stuck on a level mindlessly matching until it releases you to go build a house for a moment. The power ups are expensive, you buy them each and every time you want to use one - and they don't accomplish very much at all. $1500 to clear 3 or 4 random tiles -- not for me. I didn't even see a mini game - maybe I didn't press the right button or something. It had great potential but it seems it was either not completely thought through or the creators didn't have the expertise to figure out the shortcomings. I love Big Fish Games and will never turn away - it's too good a company and wonderful entertainment - but this particular game is one I wish I hadn't purchased. July 2, 2014
Surprised I am surprised at all the 5 star reviews. I thought this was a terrible game and regret buying it. It take forever to fill the vials which look like test tubes. I was so bored because you are on the same board forever as you try to fill the vials so you can move on. I played this for a couple hours after buying it and have never played it again. In my opinion it was a waste of money. April 26, 2013
Jewel Legends: Tree of Life I am truly addicted to Big Fish Games. Even though this game annoys me to no end- I keep playing it!! Takes play style and elements from other games but does not synthesize them logically. Tries to be fun with disney-like giant eggs. Music is repititious. I could go on. I love Big Fish Games for the most part but this one is a disappointment. July 12, 2012
