Disappointing to say the least This is based on playing the trial. Being a fan of the show I was excited when I spotted this. The excitement didn't last. I didn't even get through the whole trial. While the case you must solve starts out an interesting one the tasks you must complete are really mundane. I was just so bored throughout. It just felt like a really basic game. As for the lack of voice overs I think I understand why this is the case. Fork out for the real actors or get sound alikes; one would be probably ridiculously expensive the other would just sound terrible to anyone who watches the show. The Women's Murder Club games are much more enjoyable and that's saying something considering how old they are now. There's a lack of these types of detective games but unfortunately this one just doesn't do it for me. May 22, 2012
A lot of good and a lot of bad I've never seen the TV show, so I can't comment on how well the game simulates the characters and interactions. My reaction is based just on the game play. While there are some nice twists to game play and interaction with the in game characters, there were a lot of quality issues that kept me from being sold on this game. I enjoyed the fact that interacting with characters and interrogating suspects was an active part of the game. It made it feel much more like an investigation than investigating a bunch of empty rooms. The light adventure elements were okay, though I would have preferred more exciting tasks to the mundane replace the printer cartridge that were presented. The hidden object scenes were junk piles with random objects tossed together, often in different sizes and perspectives. The scrambled items were a nice addition, but would have worked better in well laid out scenes with interesting items. I liked the use of puzzles to represent piecing together evidence, though some of the puzzles seemed like an odd choice (mahjong for questioning a subject?). The art was okay, but small items were often hard for me to spot. The scenes seemed a little dull color wise. What I saw of the story line was good, and seemed like it would unfold nicely. It was a really nice change of pace to see a game with a modern, realistic setting. In the end, I can't recommend this game unless you are a fan of the show. I liked the setting, story, and some new ways of interacting with the story, but I don't think they managed to present them well enough to earn my money. May 2, 2012
Based on DEMO,Had to buy it! As a big fan of the TV series I just had to give the demo a spin and I am so glad I did! With only 22mins left, I knew I had to buy this game! The visuals are amazing(especially the cut scenes) I love the fact that you get to play as all the different agents and the story line had me hooked from the start. Challenging enough for any level player and I look for more games like this in the future, extemely original! April 23, 2012
Did not live up to the quality of the show! I'm a huge fan of Criminal Minds and saw this title and couldn't wait to play. Although the graphics were good the game moved slowly. The HOGs were well done and had a nice twist with the jumbled words, but overall I would not buy. It did not capture my attention like the show does. April 21, 2012
Just Terrible I echo what some others have said already. It's just dated and the fact that there is absolutely no voice work is kind of shocking. It's about a TV show that a lot of us love. I expected some voices. I found the response time lacking as well and I have a brand new computer. I often had to click on an area twice. I had to shut the music off because it was annoying and distracting. In short, I had much higher expectations for this game and came away disappointed. Deleted it after 30 minutes. May 4, 2012
A real bummer! This game is so bad I couldn't stand to even finish the demo. It looks like what it is - hey, let's make a game based on a popular TV show and it will sell even if the game is lousy. The only redeeming feature I saw is the artwork. April 26, 2012
Surprisingly Good I'm getting a bit burned out on the hidden object games, especially with the same old tired story line or substandard graphics/gameplay. This captured my interest and I really enjoyed it....decided to purchase about 15 minutes in. I really felt that the story and the gameplay meshed well, not as if one was an excuse for the other. Very nice job! April 22, 2012
Great Game I have finished playing the entire game both cases.. I find this to be a great game both cases were long.. that said I read all the dialouge and didn't rush through things. Like some other games I have played things do need to be done in a certain order . all evidence must be found and delt with before and UNSUB can be brought in. I would definetly recommend you try this one. during the game and not the HOG scenes the hint actasa mini stragegy guide I found it to be useful when I tried it out. options are normal and expert mode I played in expert mode found the games to be fairly easy. only one glitch at least I think it was a glitch during one game I hadn't fifnished it and it declared me finished so I moved on didn't worry about it. I enjoyed this game and suggest you give it a try April 28, 2012
Short, Easy, & Predictable I love the Criminal Minds TV show, and I hoped this game would stack up favorably against it. Sadly, it didn't. There are only two cases to solve, both are pretty short and easy to figure out "whodunit", and the HOG & minigames are very easy. I would recommend this game to a HOG newbie, but for more advanced players, this game will leave you underwhelmed. April 22, 2012
Just like the "Murder She Wrote" Series, also by the same developer, The plots are bland, and what we've seen on TV already. This is what happens when you combine multiple adventures in one game... less story development in shorter stories. For diehard fans only. If you really must play this experience, use a free game credit or coupon, not money. Again, I dislike writing negative reviews, but Big Fish wants us to be honest. March 29, 2013
