Not for everyone!
If the definition of 'fun' is trying to find the same objects over and over again just to get money to buy stuffs, then this is the most fun game ever. After visiting several rooms and selling things from them, my daughter (who plays the game) realizes that she has to go to the same rooms again to sell the same items, again. 'Didn't I just sell that Monalisa painting, or the lute, or the fan, or the balloon, or everything else?' As I wrote above, depends on your definition of 'fun'. The objects are at the same place and has the same look/position every time. The developer probably changes 4-5 objects out of 20 that you need to find in a room. Basically, you can find all the objects easily, except for the hint helper which are the camera and the thermometer.

So Cute You May Overlook the Monotony.....
Endearing characters, great graphics, cute interactions, and lots of potential caused me to buy the sequel but.....Expensive items required so much play that I started to memorize object placement. Too much work for quick purchases. First, more choices for styles, colors and objects. Pick the floor and walls before the furniture. Vary the play. If items are going to be 10 rounds to obtain, offer a variety of games or some type of quick side jobs to get cash levels up or just for interest. Love the interaction with the dog so I would still recommend both versions.

Looking forward to Gardenscapes 3
I was so excited to see the sequel and purchased it right away.
Fun, lighthearted and feel like Austin is an old friend.

Relaxing Game
I liked this game. It was fairly easy which made it very relaxing. The interaction with Austin and his dog was cute. I found the graphics bright and clear, and the game has a pleasant sound. The challenge was enough to keep me interested to the end. Great game.

Love this game!
This game is as awesome as the first Gardenscapes game.
You get to name the dog and enter a variety of contests to win prizes for Austin the butler.
The little conversation bubbles are a hoot. Austin will also play fetch with the dog, dust the furniture, feed the bird and a variety of household tasks.
You get to furnish and repair the mansion with dollars from sales. You can play timed or untimed. Either way is a lot of fun and this game is fantastic.
If you haven't played the first Gardenscapes, you will want to try that one too.
Great fun for the whole family!

Pure HOG, no mini-games
This is likely to be a polarizing game for many people. There are those who have hated it and those of us who love it. Different strokes for different folks. I strongly suggest that you play the demo for a while before deciding which group you fit into; that?s an advantage with Big Fish membership. I played the demo for about 20 minutes and realized that, unencumbered by those frivolous puzzles or mini-games, this purely HOS game was exactly to my liking. Now in this game there isn?t the back tracking common to most games, but then it doesn?t develop as an adventure, either. To play this game, one finds objects which are traded for money and money buys improvements for the house. This still provides a goal to achieve, and therefore a reason to play on, despite not being a true adventure. The game lasted me an entire Saturday. I really enjoyed being free from the mini-games. This is not a detective mystery and it does not have a dark death related theme. This game is rather light hearted and humorous.

Good Game
I know this game is very popular, but i am not so enthusiastic. I agree the butler is fun. It is a good game, but there are two reasons why i will only buy this game when it is a DD.
First of all there is only one room to decorate. If there were five or six rooms i would have been more enthusiastic.
Secondly, and this is a real pet hate of mine, the prices people are willing to pay for items does NOT make any sense at all. Who would pay $37 (I think) for pea-pods, while a guitar costs less. If the prices were more appropriate to the items, i would love this game.
I love Farmscapes, which is a Match 3. My first love is HOGS but because of the very stupid prices i do not like it in this game and NOT the first Gardenscapes either.
I give this game 3 stars.

YES - PLEASE MORE !
Im not a huge fan of HOG but this one is much better than most of them that I have played. It is funny, funny, funny. The characters are adoreable and cute, so kids really can enjoy it as well. Although this sequel is not so much different from the first one, it is so good that you just want more. I have played other games from the same developers and they are all a league on its own. Just like it should be: FUNNY, ENTERTAINING, technicaly perfect, Great Artwork, and still simple enough to enjoy it from the first minute
I just love it - and love to play it with kids as well, they are always waiting for austin to say WOW when we finished a room.

A game you could still play even when you've completed it!
Great game! Love the story and the many options you have in buying things to redo the interior of the house. The part that I liked most about the game is that you can still continue playing the game even when you've completed it!

Not as good as the first one
I didn't find this game as challenging nor as engaging as the first Gardenscapes. Also didn't like the redecorating choices offered. There didn't seem to be as much interaction between the guy and other people as in the original. I thought the guy was the butler...where are the owners??
