Awful - don't waste your money
This is the worst HO game I've ever played - or should I say, attempted to play. Wooden characters which are difficult to move about the screen just completely frustrated me time and again, and I wish I'd never bothered.
Have much more fun with something like Munchausen!

Even the heroine moves like an automaton
Based on the demo. This game had so much potential, to be as good as, or even better than the original, which was incredible. Instead, I saw a heroine who moved like an automaton herself, with no hint of humanity in her movements. The other graphics are poorly done cartoons. The voices are very well done, which is why I gave 3 stars to visual/sound quality. The inventory box takes a little bit to get used to. When you grab something other than your phone it's invisible, you don't see it until you click it in place, such as putting a key into a lock.

Very interesting
The best story line that I have seen so far.

Great game that came out in 2002
It's sad that ten years later Syberia still outshines most games. It's graphics, story, and voice-over acting are still better than most of the games put out today. I think it's great they're putting it out again, and I'm glad they made sure to mention that it is the original Syberia (since it's being launched as a new release). Now if only they could re-release the Myst series.

One of the All-Time Greats
I played this game years ago and it was one of the first PC games I ever played. I remember being so confused and frustrated but not with the game so much as with myself for not knowing how to play it correctly. Now, many years later, and with much experience, I can enjoy this game for what it is: truly one of the best and most beautiful gaming experiences you will ever have.
I'm sure I have the original jewel cases that this and Syberia II came in somewhere, but rather than looking for it, I just went ahead and bought it again here. I'm guessing that the game is broken down into three parts rather than being one large file game, so it will probably cost more in the long run that tracking down a budget game disc somewhere but the game is definitely worth whatever price you do pay for it.

Top of the list of the best I played then of course Syberia II
U have 2 have patience w/this game, not your average but most entertaining if u like to solve large puzzles.
Got frustrated a little bit, but went back to play again.
Graphics were well done, story line also well done.
Really makes u think & try 2 remember what u have 2 do.
Loved the game, and was most thrilled when the sequel came out (Syberia II).
If u like a challenge these games r it.

Great game!
We purchased this game quite a while ago. Seeing this again makes us want to try & play again.
The game requires a lot of thought. At first we were very confused, but got better at playing.
We also purchased the 2nd part and that was also a big challenge.
Playing the demo for an hour will most likely not get you far into the story.
You will either like it or hate it. We thought it a good purchase and there will be hours of thought filled playing time.

Give it a chance -- this game is iconic!
This adventure game has been around for years now, and it remains one of the best designed ever with a richly haunting storyline. Yes, it will take a few minutes to figure out how to manipulate the conversations and inventory items -- but it's worth your patience. Part 2, apparently not yet available from BF, is just as good! If you are strictly looking for HOGs or quick puzzles, this is not for you. If you enjoy great stories and have the patience to let this one evolve, you'll be very satisfied.

Great Game
I'm so glad to have found this game again! I've been waiting for this moment since I saw Big Fish had released another Benoit Sokal game called Amerzone. I first played Syberia several years ago and I left my original copies (Syberia 1 and 2) at my parent's house since my dad loves to play them as well. Playing this again brings back so many memories.
The game itself is such a pleasure to play as the environments are so beautiful and the storyline is really engaging. The voice acting is quite good as well. However, the game is fairly difficult at some points. During my first playthrough all those years ago I found myself consulting online walkthroughs many a time.
Syberia was one of the first adventure games I ever played, and my opinion on every adventure type game since has been based off of it. It's rare that I've found another game that's lived up to what this one means to me. I'm very happy to see it back on the market for others to enjoy!

Fabulous and very challenging
The graphics and cutscenes are STILL some of the best I've seen in gaming today. Syberia's gameplay is very riveting and is a true adventure game with many puzzles to solve. I would highly suggest using a walkthrough guide if you're prone to easily get frustrated because some of the puzzles are just beyond difficult. This game will give you many DAYS of adventuring goodness even with a strategy guide and following the guide verbatim.
If you choose to go it alone, if you can pick up something, pick it up. If you can interact with someone talk to them, repeatedly. If you can interact an object with someone do it. Some things that you may never have even thought of will be in the puzzles in this game.
I love games like this that really make you think and really make you think outside of the box. However if you're looking for a game where you just walk from point A to point B, you will not enjoy this game.
