Fun, but gets very frustrating
Having played about 90% of this game, I find the way the tokens move very frustrating at the higher levels, and ultimately boring when I get stuck. The tokens do not move predictably, but rather flow along a path partly driven by the direction in which the last group was selected.
This starts out as a relatively normal match-3 game, but then you have to first have the crab pick up a key, or open a chest, and lastly both pick up the key and open the chest on the same level. If a player is familiar with the "make a path" type of match-3, this seems not that bad, but here you have to make the tokens move toward the goal as a group, taking the crab along. Given the obstacles and sometimes just too few good matches, as well as the convoluted board shapes at higher levels, this can get the player stuck for quite a while doing much of nothing, just to unblock the crab's path. The game is enjoyable for me in the untimed mode, but it's not one I'll keep replaying.

Decent match game
I am okay with this game. I do like Match games so this one comes thru for me. Not the most exciting one I have ever played but this will do when I need to get my mind somewhere else. The only thing I find annoying is that Mermaid picking up the pearls..she needs to wait after the level is done. She blocks up the view at the bottom and can waste precious time.I know there will be more exciting Match games to come but I do think the audience will appreciate this one for the time being.

Mermaid Adventures: The Magic Pearl
I played this game and it is more for a child. It is a Match 3 game. The object is to match 3 of the same object to and you have to finish in the time aloted. There is a challange for a child. I did get stuck on level 7. I feel that a child can have hours of fun with this game. I would recommend this game for a child.

Pretty graphics but not really a Match 3 game
Though pretty graphics and easy to see, this is not your standard Match 3 game. Its a selecting/sliding Match 3 game. And for those people that are even slightly moused challenged it can be rather difficult to correctly select the token images to be 'matched'. Then when you get into the part of the game where you have to work/move a key or creature to a chest or something -- its all but impossible -- to do so. Which made the game extermely challenging and well into the frustration mode.
I really think BFG needs another category to cover these sliding 'match 3' games.

mermaid adventures so-so
Placement of buttons a bit odd. I found the mermaid character a bit creepy looking by how it was rendered.

Not For Me
I played the trial game but did not buy this one. I found it difficult moving the crab. I never knew which direction he would go in. The graphics aren't very nice, either. It is ok for children but not up to par with other match 3 games.

Children friendly Match 3
Cute. Fun with my 6 year old Grandson. Music was good. I enjoyed it for myself as well.

Pretty... But Frustrating... Pretty Frustrating!!!
The mermaid is creepy and bossy... "Get going!" is her favorite comment.
The gameplay is terrible and overall, frustrating. When you "Match 3" the rows move in the direction you matched and seem to be programmed to be frustrating in their sequencing.
Have two games (two different sign-in names) and in both I'm stuck on a level I can't get passed.
One is timed, cannot move the crab to where it needs to be to unlock the treasure chest (which, there are four sides to and no telling which side will unlock the stupid thing).
The other... got the crab next to the chest but it is the wrong side and now the crab is trapped and there is no way to move it from where it is... so I guess that game is ending where it is.
Not starting a third game.
I like a challenging game... this is not challenging, it is stupid.
Horrible game, don't buy it.

It's just OK
Looked good at the start, it has lots of levels and decent graphics, however, that mermaid was quite annoying. Having to click on her constantly slowed the flow of the game. There also seemed to be a bit of cursor lag for me on the Mac version.
