A Change for the Better - Somewhat This is a visually attractive game with a delightful change to guide you in the adorable leprechaun. I thought the big dumb statues were silly and tiresome, although they are at least a change from the usual dead bodies and ghouls. The ending left me hoping for a sequel, but the Bonus chapter didn't make much sense. Disappointing. June 18, 2012
Wandering Around I am usually a big fan of these developers, but this game meanders all over the place. It does have good graphics, nice HOs and mini-puzzles. However, the hint button was not sychronized with the strategy guide. I really didn't like the character in the hint button -- kind of annoying. I would try the demo first to see if you like it. Ending kind of abrupt I enjoyed most of this game, the graphics were great, the HO's a little junky but not to bad, the puzzles were good, I didn't have to skip any in frustration. I liked the narrator very much nice voice good inflection, made the story flow well. The rooster and miner were a joy, I love having stuff that stays in my inventory instead of disapearing after one use, and though the rooster did things no rooster could have he was after all stone so I figured he was much stronger. I didn't like the ending, left hanging on several levels I won't discuss as it will spoil the game plot, but there was unfinished business. The bonus game was very short, only about 25 minutes which made it not worth buying the CE version, there is no ability to play the puzzles as in other elephant games. The bonus game also ended abruptly, with no real reason behind the added game. I don't like this trend of ending games on a clif and it is becoming more and more prevalent and that is the basis for my lower review, it ruins a game for me to be left high and dry. October 1, 2013
Disappointing I expected more from Elephant Games. Loved Surface: Mystery of Another World CE and awaited their newest game. The story and graphics were fine - but it was sluggish and the mini games not very challenging. The bonus game was too short and not worth buying the collector's edition. June 28, 2012
Royal Detective: The Lord of Statues Collector's Edition I tried, tried to like this game - but i couldn't. The artork is awful and the story is just some kind of joke June 24, 2012
