Great Collection Edition Game!
Played 30 minutes of the game and then bought it.
There are controls for music & sound.
Game play modes of casual & expert. On expert mode, you can select if you want a tutorial or not.
We usually play demos in casual mode. The tutorial was helpful and hints refilled quickly. We did not use the strategy guide in the half hour we have played.
The hidden object scenes & mini games/puzzles encountered so far have been fairly easy.
The graphics are very good. The voice overs are a bit quirky, but ok.
You have the option of clicking on morphing "haunted soul" faces that show up. There are 40 of them. There are also many awards to acquire and the game shows the time played and scores.
The story line has been done many times & the first inventory item is the always needed crowbar :)
However, the game has achievements, good puzzles, games & hidden object scenes. To us, that is what makes a game collection worthy.

More souls to save...
This is based on the demo not the full game. The plot line is old and tired, we have to save souls (yawn!). Right off the bat as your plane crashes, you have to play 2 HOG in a row, that was not promising for me since they are not the reason I buy these games.
The character's voices are done by what I can only assume are professionals, they draw you in the story. The artwork just shy of stunning and the game moves along nicely. HOG's are cluttered, sooty piles of miscellaneous things, not much thought put into them at all.
I am not sure this game is worth the price of a CE but it's Sunday and I have too much time on my hands.

Same old
when this game started it looked like it was going to be good. However, in the first few minutes i had 2 quite tricky HOS and not a lot else. The objects in the HO were difficult to find and the temptation just to hit hint was very high.
When my character got on the island, the was a scene which was dull and the VO could not be rushed through After walking back and for a few times i gave up as i really did get caught up in the game. on the plus side, the graphics are pretty good.
not for me

All Around Dreary Game
The graphics were good, but the overall *feel* of the game was dreary. I don't mean the story line itself - I mean the overall feel of the game was drab, dreary, and dull. Granted, the overall storyline isn't a sunny, happy one. But it doesn't have to be so... DRAB!
That isn't to say it isn't a good game - it's a decent game with a good mix of HOS's and true adventure searching and collecting.
Pros:
-Graphics
-Ease of navigation
-Logical direction for *most* moves
-Right level of mini puzzle challenge
-Good mix of HOS and Adventure
-Challenging/tricky HOS (but not the kind that makes you go blind)
-Fast hint recharge
CONS:
-Even in *full screen* mode, it is NOT full screen
-HOS's tend to be clustered together. (There are two within the first five minutes of the game)
-*Some* video can not be skipped, yet some dialogue can.
Overall, the game was good, but didn't have the WOW factor I'm always looking for - and it pains me to say it, because it's clear the game developers put a great deal of work into this game.
I'll still recommend this game, but with some reservations to those who have played a lot of games, or for those who prefer true adventure over HOG's.

Fun Game!
Though I finished the demo with 12 minutes remaining this was a good game. The storyline is intriguing and the hidden object scenes and puzzles are well done.It made me kind of sad when the demo ended, which is saying a lot.

interesting HOG
Played the demo of this game and them purchased it as I wanted to finish it. I played on easy mode. I found the lost souls hard to find and didn't succeed in collecting them all. The story was engaging and the graphics clear. The HO scenes presented enough of a challenge and the hint when I used it recharged quickly enough. The bonus chapter was worth the extra and unlike many "bonus" chapters had its own quota of lost souls to find. I played with music off as I do in most games, and I found the voiceovers rather unScottish, but then I'm Celtic!

worth the money
Thoroughly enjoyed this game from start to finish. The graphics are excellent, Ho nice and clear, even though some are a little hard to find. But that makes it more challenging. As an over 50 person, can recommend this game. Most enjoyable

Creepy, challenging and intriguing.
You're trapped on an island that was too creepy for the army, surrounded my howling winds and many ghosts. 40 of those ghosts are merely flickers in the corner of your eye, a crack in the wall or a face? (Actually, they're morphing objects.) The other ghosts need your help, only a memory of their past lives will let them move on...
It's a decent story and the morphing ghost faces make it even more eerie. Gameplay is solid. Mini-games are well thought out and a few are original. The instructions are very simple, you'll often need to figure out what needs doing. I like that, it makes them more challenging.
Inventory items are fairly straightforward with very few surprises. There are a few too many H0 scenes for my taste.
All and all, a solid game with enough challenge in the puzzles to keep you thinking and enough drama in the story to keep you involved.

YES, Another GREAT Game
I am beginnning to feel like a broken record, but I really enjoyed this game. It was a bit different and I enjoyed being on an island. The game was logical to me but yet I was unable to "guess" the ending early in the game. Lots of locations I was not expecting as well.
Try this one. It may be an acquired taste, but I acquired it lol. The HOS were a bit more difficult, which I appreciate, as I hate to just click my way through them. I only got lost once and that was near the end of the game. Very proud of myself when I was able to re-orient myself.
Have fun with this one and if it is not your cup of tea just wait a day or two, one will show up.
Thanks developers and BF
