good idea poorly made The opening storyline looked like a film beginning but sadly what came after it was not up to scratch. The first challenge i could not even complete as what i was meant to do could not even be done. The first HOS was so tricky that i gave up. I managed to play about 10 minutes of it, but i wont be finishing the demo. Very disappointing from a hopeful start. May 22, 2012
Tedius Didn't like it. Very long pauses, too much reading. Unable to stop hints May 22, 2012
Jewel Quest rests on it's laurels I do not remember the other Jewel Quest Mysteries being such a chore. This is the last offering in a string of games that were lots of fun. THIS one left me very disappointed. This is a combination of match 3, hidden object and puzzles. The HO scenes were SO incredibly cluttered and the objects SO tiny and SO hidden I used up almost all of the hints and couldn't find all the coins for the extra hint. Very frustrating. I have played difficult HOs before but these were darn near impossible! I used up all the demo time without completing the second HO scene. Even the match 3 games were just that tad too short and the jewels fell off the board as I was clicking on the last square needed. I have never been defeated by a game before but I have now. There is no option for an untimed game. The music, while I guess is nothing to write home about, didn't bother me because I was so intent on the problems I was having. The storyline was okay although I found the print in the boxes was a little on the small side and, for me, hard to read . Do bear in mind that my eyesight is poor. The pop-up boxes during the M3 games were unreasonable. It is like a mandatory tutorial and appears on EACH M3 game. All it does is take up time from the demo. The first puzzle game I encountered is a "pipes" type game, which I love, but had to skip because it didn't like the way I connected it to the other side and I didn't have time to fuss with it. If you have good eyesight this game is good. The graphics are nice and well drawn. If you have all the other Jewel Quests you might want to add this to your collection. But, I'm afraid, it's not for me. May 22, 2012
Sad chapter I love the Jewel Quest series, but this was a poorly thought out addition. There is no way to turn off the tutorial, so you are constantly being interrupted by pop up boxes. The story line has you completing all the actions twice...bad idea and fairly boring. There is not a lot of help figuring out the puzzles, probably because they are stupidly simple. As a final insult the jewel boards are also ridiculously easy. I wish I hadn't bought this one, it's one to skip. May 22, 2012
Not worth the cost I had played/purchased the past 3 Jewel Quest Mysteries games, and enjoyed them. So I thought this one would be on par or better, since it was new. I was REALLY wrong tho. I only bought it becuz I had a promo code for buy 1 get 1 free. I won't repeat what others have said - just read the first page of reviews and you get a good idea. I, like others, was really disappointed - biggest problem, the game was too short. Ended alot sooner than I thought it would. Don't waste your credit or $6.99. June 25, 2012
Very boring game.... I did not like this game at all. I wish they would just make all the Jewel Quests as Match 3. August 18, 2012
Wouldn't recommend Waste of money. Finished in 2 hours. May 23, 2012
No-Buy For Me This is one of those games I think of as a "Cheat Game". HO's are small and difficult to see and tucked into dark corners of busy backgrounds. YUCK! May 23, 2012
Very Disappointed Well, got 45 mins into trial .... gave up! HOS were not so much grainy as downright foggy ... jewels in HOS indecipherable from other obj's in scene; virtually just click like crazy all over (used a grid pattern) to find the Hint coins - then (the gall of it!) had to redo the whole chapter with the 2nd character; presume it was then followed by the 3rd character; as I say, gave up @ that point' total shimozzle - think I'll go back to the original & even, to an older game, Zen Jems sigh :(( May 22, 2012
This one makes me so sad! I was excited to see this new release as I am a big fan of the Jewel Quest games, BUT when I started playing the trial, I was disappointed right from the start! Too much hand holding and annoying assistance from either one of the 3 character "helpers" or constant interruptions with pop up help boxes!! I was going to use one of my freebies for this game, but I am so glad a tried the trial because I am not wasting my freebie on this one! Sorry developers! May 22, 2012
