MaxJongg is based on the classic Shanghai Mahjongg solitaire.

This game features realistic 3D visuals, 3D sound, adjustable backgrounds, and tile skins. Rules are similar to traditional mahjongg solitaire, but with a slight difference; you have 6 faces per tile and a true 3D perspective – simply click on tiles by pairs to remove them, but beware! They must both be free on the side you're playing.

I've had this game for years I originally bought this game as a Yahoo game at least 10 years ago. When I bought a new computer I couldn't remember my password to redownload it. I finally found it again as a BigFish game and immediately bought it. It isn't as good as the original, there are a few bugs in it but still enjoyable. You get used to which levels can never be solved because of programming errors, I just avoid those. There are so many levels that are still great. I like that it's truly 3-D and you can turn the puzzle to find matches on the other side of the tiles. The game also allowed you to change the look of the tiles, I use the silly faces tiles most often. I highly recommend this game and wish I could get it in an iPad version. February 28, 2014

A game like no other. Yes, you have to make pairs of tiles - free tiles - and that's where the similarity between this game and mahjong ends. I would recommend to begin with that you keep the tiles set to "buddy" and the background set to "random" - there are just way too many choices. And, trust me on this, you need to familiarize yourself with this unique game first. IMPORTANT - this little IMPORTANT bit of info was NOT forthcoming and I had to figure it out. Hold the right side of your mouse down and move the tile layout any which way you want. This will make sense once you're in the game. You will want the "buddy" tile set because it's hysterical and you will need giggles and hysteria to get you through the impossible matching game play. Yes, pick 2 tiles and match them. 3D, HD madness. Red tile, google eyes, laughing mouth, no problem right? EXCEPT, the left eye on one may be large and on another it will be the right eye and that won't match. A perfect smile and a smile that is snaggly tooth won't match. Flip and turn the game board every which way and ultimately you'll start matching and when you do, it's a relief - LOL. Unfortunately, I came across a HUGE layout and didn't have any matches at all and there was no way to shuffle or even exit the game. So, the devs of this game (which has so much potential for fun and giggles) do have some bugs to work out and that's why it won't be a buy for me. But, please at least try it for the demo hour. It's free and it's fun. Happy Gaming! August 16, 2014
