Most Enjoyable! I am so proud of myself. I played in the advanced mode, I didn't need the SG this afforded a nice lengthy play. The hidden object scenes were challenging and I loved the thought process required to get the job done. I assure you if you decide to take this game on I honestly believe you will enjoy as much as I have. I look forward to the next Dark Dimension episode. Good job everyone and thank you. April 27, 2012
Yes please more like this I love this sort of game. I would buy now but I have spent out this month. I may well buy it next month though. April 28, 2012
Excellent addition to the Dark Dimensions collection This was a great game to play, just enough HOS to be useful, the puzzles are a wide range of difficulties and the graphics are very clear and realistic in some scenes. VOs are good but be glad you can read along at the bottom too since most of the time they don't sync up with the characters. Two levels of play makes it nicer. Eerie storyline with gruesome twist, I LOVED IT! But then this is my kind of story. I look forward to the next installment to the Dark Dimensions collection soon! May 12, 2012
Fantastic Game :) ! Just finished the demo, and left wondering what's next, I have to add this one to my wish list which keeps growing and growing!!! Graphics are fantastic and a mixture of reality and animation, story line very interesting and different from other HOG's, the voice are a must for me so I was pleased with them, mini games are fairly easy and you do not have to store items FOREVER! In additon, I do love the interactive HOG's as well as the two game modes. In casual mode I think there are no penalties for overcling which I like because I do not like to look at the list unles it's absolutely necessary. All in all a fantastic game and a must have for any collector. May 9, 2012
great follow up Well i agree and disagree with some of the other reviewers. First I really liked this game. I like the live actors, the voice overs were pretty good and you never lost sight of the storyline. i did agree that they overdid some of the written notes, especially when combined with the oral explanations from the actors. There were also a couple of mini games that I thought ..you want me to what? I just didn't get the instructions.. even with the SG. However this game had a lot of HO scenes, many many inventory objects, lots of mini games, good music and was beautifully drawn. The HO scenes had plenty of color and you had interactive objects within them. The hint system was very helpful. There was some backtracking but this only added to the game. It was a good length and was very enjoyable. I have not played the extra yet. I think some collectibles, morphing objects or achievements might have been a nice a addition but overall I thought this was a very good follow up to the first Fog game. It is dark and creepy but I always like games where you can remove the "evil" and bring in the light. Enjoy May 6, 2012
Great game! Beautiful graphics, lots of locations, no sparkles in hard mode much better than Dark Dimensions City of Fog. December 1, 2012
This is a great mind bender Hi all - I feel bad not having reviewed this earlier and helped you all find a great game. I yearn for complex, difficult adventures with great graphics and a riveting storyline. So if you are like me, then tune into this little treasure - it will have you hopping back and forth with so much to keep track of. Good mental gymnastics. I also loved City of fog, so this group of games is up there with the Best of them. October 10, 2012
Brilliant! Loved this game and just as good as the first in the series, the HOS were crisp and clear and the storyline was just captivating! Loved the whole feel to it and a great length too, well worth the CE. June 5, 2012
great game I thought the story line was good...quite a dark story and dark graphics which add to the atmosphere. It is my type of game...puzzles fairly hard but achievable..although I did skip a couple!! Loved the HOS because you had to do secondry things to find items in the list which is quite clever. I thought this game was better than city of fog..which I could not get into. If you like macabre settings and stories..then go for it. Really liked this game. June 4, 2012
Back to the drawing board, please. I think that this game had the potential to be outstanding. It was beautifully drawn with a captivating, dramatic story. But there were so many flaws in the details that I really am a little disappointed. First, the voices weren't anywhere close to synchronous. There was a lot of lip movement going on with no voice and vice versa. That was really a let-down. Second, the mini-games. I'd consider myself a 100% hidden object/mini-game expert. I've played hundreds of HO games and I know all kinds of mini-games. But I never encountered a game where I simply didn't have the faintest idea what to do or how to achieve the goal. For example, the mini-game on the door with the golden chains and the "infrared" wax: Turn the gear in the top right corner left until the other gear is on the top position, put the switch to position 1, repeat two times, turn the gear at the bottom left corner right to move the gear on lever 2 to the right, pull the lever, then put gear ... wait, what?! I swear to God that this is the first game EVER where I had to skip not only one but several mini-games, because I found them too complicated. That's not challenging, that's frustrating. So, mini-game design: F. Repeat class. I guess, someone who is more into super-tricky riddles or complicated mechanisms would have a real good time playing this game. Overall, I would recommend this games, although the above reasons significantly decreased the fun for me. June 3, 2012
