Enjoyed this one!
This was a fun game, not terribly challenging but lots of places to go and look for stuff. I did like that there were always new places opening up. My only complaint is that I thought the voiceovers while showing the person's eyes were odd and the evil guy's ravings didn't even come close to matching the voiceover but I have a feeling it probably wasn't meant to. But that's just a style issue that doesn't affect gameplay. Other than that I enjoyed it. The collector's edition strategy guide was never needed. The hint button was enough if you couldn't remember where to go next. If you have a good memory you won't even need that. The bonus game doesn't start automatically, just click on bonus content to play that one. Several hours of enjoyment for me on this one!

Very worth buying
I bought this game during a sale on Collector's Editions for $6.99. I played it on and off over two and a half very rainy days. It was great! This was such a fun and engaging game. The story was interesting and I was genuinely involved in the plights of the characters. The graphics were very good and the sounds neither annoying nor repetitious. The challenge level of the HOS was low to medium for the most part which is how I want them. Most of the puzzles were fun and fairly challenging to play. A couple of the puzzles were ones that I always get really frustrated trying to do so I skipped those. I play for relaxation, not frustration. The extra chapter in the bonus edition was good and I enjoyed playing it. I don't think I'd buy Collector's Editions unless they're special sale games, though. The bonus material is really not worth paying double the price for the game. I gave this game four stars instead of five only because there were many similarities between this game and so many others I've played. I'm holding out for a really new and different game for my fives!

Lots of Potential, but......
This game had a lot of potential, but just fell short of wowing me. I don't know what is, but it just seemed like a chore to get through this one.
I bought it based on the price, which was a nice bonus for a change - but now I am wondering if they lowered the price because it just wasn't a great game.
I didn't have a problem with the graphics or anything - I don't ever listen to the music, it's too distracting; and I also eventually turned down the sfx's, as I also found that annoying.
On a hunt for the ever elusive Philospher's Stone, (Harry Potter, anyone?), a young woman must save souls in this very boring HOG. HOS were easy, puzzles were easy, and it just became a chore to get thru this game for some reason. By the time I got to the bonus game, I was, like, is there an end to this game in our future? A total waste of money that I won't be repeating.
Most of the recent HOGs seem to be one disaster after another - what happened to all the great games we've been given over the last year and a half?

Nice visuals
I have played games where the opening movie used live actors before. It's usually corny and doesn't fit well into the rest of the game. This was different. The live actor scenes were very good. They integrated very well with the well drawn graphics.
The rest of the game was standard and pretty good. Don't have too much more to say about that.

Saved by the storyline based on trial only
I saw this one had mixed reviews so thought I would trial it.
Many said the graphics were excellent which I totally disagree with. I thought they were grainy almost all the way through. For good graphics you can't get much better than ERS and Elephant. Using actors and cut scenes however helped keep the interest as well as I thought a very good storyline. Yes I know we have to go and save lost souls again and find the crowbar and fishing hook etc etc but I thought the developers did enough to keep me playing the game.
The HOS's were well done with a bit of interaction.
The music was very relaxing.
This is not however enough for me to recommend a buy on the Collector's edition. I recommend waiting for the SE

Not to bad!!!!
So far it's a nice long hidden object, I love. Story line not the best. The color etc fine. I am still waiting for the WOW factor games. To many kiddie games. For sure they have to play to. So far you can't top ice rose, dire cove, bronze horesman, living legends the bride etc, And a great Mystery Case files. Lets go Big Fish.

It was OK
The game seemed interesting at first. Loved the opening scene with the live actors. I thought the close ups of the characters eyes was interesting. The graphics were good. I really expected more from this game. The HOGs were easy, the puzzles were interesting and not too hard. I thought the music could have been better and changed more to go along with what was happening in the game. My biggest complaint about the game was that there was too much going back and forth to complete tasks. It seemed like every task you had to figure out where you saw the ? that was needed, run back to get it...etc. That can make a game rather tedious for me and I find myself wishing the game would end soon. I would probably recommend the SE game, but not the CE. The bonus game was not worth it to me.

A little slow
Thought the discounted price was too good to be true, nothing wrong with the graphics, but very backward and forward throught the levels without much going on, sad to say won't be buying this game, too slow and boring,
