Scarlett Frost, specialist in the dark arts, has been summoned to a luxurious and remote theatre in the snowy Italian Alps. Could it be that the infamous and diabolical Hapsburg Cube has been found and purchased by the sinister theatre proprietor, Dr. Corvis? The cube is said to imprison a powerful and ancient Babylonian demon that would wreak hellish destruction if the cube should break. In a moment of desperate confusion the cube breaks and the demon bursts forth into the souls of the Dr. Corvis and his young Daughter Bethany. The ancient theatre in the lonely winter mountains becomes an arena of spiritual war, between the darkest forces of the underworld and the cunning and esoteric mind of Scarlett Frost. But Scarlett soon finds out that the only way to fight a demon this powerful is to become possessed by one herself. Only then can she acquire a ticket to the Theatre of the Absurd.

Disappointed :( I read all of the reviews , and they really choose the games for me so I was expecting a bit of a scare, great grapics, good storyline etc, etc. Ive never been so disappointed in a game in 7 years. Ive been trying to get into it for 2 weeks and Im sooooo BORED. I dont know why its not grabbing me, its just not. Yes, the grapics are good. The HOGs are ok, the mini-games aren't bad.....but thats about it. Ive given up and bought the latest Puppetshow. After 5 minutes, I barely gave this another thought. The only game Ive ever bought and given up on. DISAPPOINTED :( July 3, 2012
Evil theme.... I enjoy all genres of games, including 'creepy'; this game crosses the line and is just plain demonic and evil themed and I am writing this because I appreciate it when other fishies [players] let me know of game content of this nature. Theatre of the Absurd has more occult in it than any game I can remember, and I've been playing games since DOS. The thing I disliked the most about this game is that in order to play, the player must participate in the occult themed play; what's more, a child in immortal danger was chosen as the main theme and just puts the proverbial nail in my decision making [box]... >no buy, delete<. Nope, I don't want this game on my computer. January 8, 2014
Lame. Reading the reviews in the forum is a waste of time. This is a horror themed HOG meaning it will have some "scary" themes. So when I read the reviews I was actually excited. Until I played it. No, it wasn't scary. What killed it was how lame it was. The 3D was the biggest turn off. I like 3D just as much as any gamer but when it looked as bad as it did here then don't bother. I would've preferred her arm to just be drawn. As for the plot. Well, what plot? I was thrown into it so fast that I had no idea what the heck happened. There's a demon and an old man. Then a little girl shows up and now we're both possessed and then angels are telling me to get stuff for a bell? What? Was there a memo I missed? As for the HOG scenes, they weren't as bad as I read in the forums. Those were pretty interesting. I only had one moment where I legitimately knew I would have never found an item without the hint. It had potential. It had some really interesting elements that I loved. IE; her possessed arm tells you hints. I thought it was so cool when you first use it and it says to not open the door. That was pretty awesome. All in all, terrible. Don't waste your money on the full download and don't was the space on the trial. June 3, 2012
The Worst Game I've Ever Play On Big Fish I never play the demo version of games. I don't want to go back and play the same thing over. After about an hour of trying to play this game, I regret not playing the demo and the $3.49 I paid for it. The graphics are terrible and the game play is confusing. Hints are worthless. When finding a bottom jaw in the first hos, how was I suppose to know it was suddenly a key? Seriously?! This is the first game I bought from Big Fish that I never finished and will never reinstall. I didn't finish It really was absurd. It couldnt catch me at all. July 9, 2012
Not fun, ridiculous story. The storyline is ridiculous. The supposed reason the whole thing started is nonsense. Apparently I can't say exactly why, but if you want a decent story pass this one up. There's nothing I liked about it at all. June 14, 2012
Theatre of the Absurd I could not even get started, the game was stammering and breaking down from the first touch. June 3, 2012
